The new salon is so cute and my first experience getting my lashes lifted and tinted was great. Definitely recommend!

If you aren't familiar with NovaLashes, they are individual eyelash extensions and it takes some talent and practice to get them right. I was thrilled with the outcome and happy the Jennifer suggested a different style lash that curled because my natural lashes grown down. Initial investment is $175, but fills are only $45 (which is less than I was paying for fills before). A few days later and I haven't seen one lash fall off, which is atypical. Thank you so much Jennifer! Looking forward to some glam and no fuss lashes on my big day in December!

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of my cancellation request and…read moremy overall experience as a long-term customer. Toward the end of September, I visited the Sunspot location to cancel my monthly tanning subscription. I have been a paying client for approximately two years and have been a customer on and off since 2013 and never had a previous complaint. The staff member I spoke with confirmed that she noted my request in my file and informed me that I would receive a call from corporate two weeks prior to my next payment draft. She also provided me with the corporate contact number. After leaving the salon, I called corporate and spoke with Lynn, who explained that Teri handles all cancellation requests and would call me to verify my intent to cancel. (This was the required process per the bank rules) I did receive that call from Teri, who was kind and personable. During that call, she assured me that my monthly payment had been stopped. When I first spoke with Lynn, I also shared my concerns about the tanning beds included in my package. Bed #13 produces no noticeable results, and bed #15 becomes uncomfortably hot to the touch. I was told that no other clients had expressed similar issues, but my coworker--who uses the same beds--experienced the same problems and even reported a burn due to a crack in bed #15's glass. In addition, bed #15's lid does not stay open properly, posing a safety hazard when trying to get in and/or out the lid falls. I felt my concerns were minimized, which was one of the reasons I chose to cancel my membership. On Thursday, October 16th, I noticed that my card had still been charged for the October payment. I immediately called corporate. Lynn answered, stated she was in a meeting, and asked me to call back in an hour to speak with Teri. The call disconnected abruptly, and I was unable to reach anyone when I called back. Later that afternoon, around 4:10 p.m., I received a return call from Teri. While the call began positively, the tone changed when Teri stated she had previously told me that Sunspot had switched credit card companies and that I should call if my card was charged again due to known system issues. I do not recall being told this, and it was concerning to learn that this was a known problem. If this issue has affected other customers, it seems the company should proactively monitor cancellations to prevent unauthorized charges AND immediately issue refunds if they occur. Teri did process a refund and emailed me confirmation, for which I am grateful. However, the overall experience left me feeling that customer concerns are often dismissed or treated as inconveniences rather than opportunities for improvement. I hope you will review this situation and consider the feedback seriously. I have appreciated being a Sunspot client for many years and would like to see greater attention given to both customer service and equipment maintenance moving forward.

I walked up to the counter and was told I couldn't tan unless I put my dog in the car (it was 90 degrees outside) or took her home. I questioned how my dog would be able to alert me if she was locked in a car? She said the law says service dogs weren't allowed in the salon and if I couldn't find the law, she would find it for me. I never found any proof of that with ADA, and though she said she had the proof on her desk at work, she never provided it. Adding to her rude behavior, she questioned why I had a service dog now, but never had one before, and put the words service dogs in quotes. How does you even respond to that?!? All I wanted was to get my money back and go elsewhere but was refused a refund because "I didn't have a good enough reason to get one". The owner was rude, condescending and insinuated I was trying to pass off a pet for a service dog. I had plans to use several of their services but now I'll just have to accept I lost my money and warn others about my bad experience.

I travel FT and always schedule my hair needs around being in Indy. She always did a great job and enjoyed our laughs and conversations. And then it happened. I wasn't pleased with my hair. And rather than rectifying the situation, the salon has done nothing but run me in circles. Sadly, I've been cursed with especially thin hair and have been cursed to wear extensions for the last 15 years. And I've worn them all. Weft, tape-in, iTips, Clip-ins, halo, and now Fusion/Keratin. This was my first time doing Fusion/Keratin extensions and my first time doing extensions with Staci. Wow! The first time they were fabulous! Why lie, they were PERFECT!!! However, my first adjustment I had never been so disappointed. They were short, lacked any luster and the adjustment was more expensive than the initial purchase and installation. Oh, and half of them came out within the first 2 weeks. (Spoiler alert! Fusion/Keratin extensions should last 4-6 mos and should be replaced , see photo taken from website. If attempted to be reused, it is a very meticulous process that was not done correctly, therefore, did not work. Staci used iTips OVER the keratin immediately after taking them out and on the first adjustment.) I tried working with Staci to rectify the situation fairly, but it's clear Luxe does not stand behind their work or appreciate their customers. My hair looked worse than before and once the pieces started slipping out it was very choppy and looked horrible. (Side note that should be mentioned: On the initial installation, not once, but twice, I drove 2 hours RT, from the east side of Indy, and blocked at least 4 hours each time to have my extensions installed. Not once, but twice, I wasn't able to get them installed because the color was wrong and then they weren't delivered in time. This was 10+ hours of my time unaccounted for. Did I complain, no. Because I understood mistakes happen. That was my first mistake. I've made several attempts to reach out and rectify the situation fairly between both parties. The only solutions I were given were not acceptable to me. (They offered to take out the extensions or add more, neither which were reassuring to fix my hair.) Rather than calling me, as I requested several times, I was ignored and blocked on messenger, the only open communication I had at this point, and have not received a single returned call, even when I emailed and was told by the manager, Lauren, that Staci would call me. She has not. I have finally gone to another stylist to have my hair properly fixed. It was with my new stylist that I learned that everything she did was incorrect. Putting iTips over keratin was not a suitable option and that the hair is not meant to be reused, but if so they are only reusable after a very thorough and time-consuming process. I've never pretended to know anything about the process, but clearly whatever was done was not fit to do so. I'd have given two stars because I did genuinely enjoy Staci... until she seemed to block any of my messages on FB.

As far as the service itself, I got a full blonde highlight (which with my thick/medium long hair typically takes forever) and she was very experienced and knowledgeable on my hair texture/type. She said she loved highlights and by the way they turned out I could tell that she definitely knew what she was doing! It can be very hard to find a stylist that does highlights just how you want them! Staff was SO friendly and welcoming, I would love to go back & I super recommend this place!!
