I reached out for service to my chimney, in Minneapolis. I can't actually speak poorly about the construction work this company provides, because I didn't get that far. I had some odd interactions with the reception staff. I called to schedule an estimate, and as we were setting up a time, she asked me about whether my "husband" would be there. It was really startling (I'm an out lesbian). I chose to handle it with humor, so I laughed and answered, "Hon, I don't have a husband." I got the impression she disliked that. I thought about just canceling the estimate, as I wouldn't want to work with a company that might be unfriendly to LGBTQ customers. But I figured it was just an estimate, and I could see if I got a good vibe from the person who actually arrived. The estimate was scheduled yesterday at 11:30am. I'm not a morning person, and will generally sleep till 10am or later. But my phone rang before 8:30am, which was not ideal! It turned out to be a receptionist from Lindus construction. I said something about the time (and to be fair, probably sounded pretty grumpy), and she basically began arguing, saying that they were open (so I guess I should be on the same timetable?), and that she hadn't specifically been told not to call me before 9am. The reason she was calling was that they wanted to reschedule due to weather, which was fine, but I figured, you know -- this company might be kind of right-wing/ not queer-friendly, and certainly doesn't seem to be sleep friendly, and those are two things I cherish (LGBTQ people, and sleep). So I just canceled. Adding an additional note in response to the reply from Bridget C. First, thanks for reading and for the rapid response! Second, your note did indicate that I had "misconstrued" your receptionist's statement about my imagined "husband". I actually stated facts, and then recognized the possibility that those facts could potentially indicate a lack of LGBTQ friendly consciousness at Lindus Construction. It might be fair to say that I misconstrued something if I had gone from just a mere possibility to a vehement declaration (e.g. saying something like "Clearly, this company hates all LGBTQ people!"). But under the circumstances, my critical feedback seems pretty mild, quite plausible, and doesn't seem to mistake or "misconstrue" what actually occurred. Sorry if it seems like I'm nitpicking, but I think that accuracy in this instance matters. With that said, thanks for talking to your staff about this issue! Third, I agree wholeheartedly that Minnesota culture reflects our experiences of winter! But that's not quite the issue here. The storm you reference happened between Saturday night and Sunday. It was pretty predictable that there would be snow on the roof on the Tuesday after, and snow was also forecast for Tuesday since the weekend. So it certainly would have been fine and possible, if your staff wanted to reschedule a Tuesday 11:30am appointment to just call anytime Monday afternoon, or to call Tuesday morning, but not quite so early (i.e. at 10am or later). The call yesterday morning, before 8:30am, wasn't actually dictated by the weather. One value we do have in Minnesota is that compared to many states, we sometimes put a lot more value on caring for people, for neighbors, for community members. So take my critical feedback in that spirit? Minnesota includes many elders and people with disabilities, and a lot of us need more time in the morning to rest and to take care of our health, our hearts, our sore limbs, our digestive systems, our over-taxed adrenal systems, and to just to allow us to rise gently. So if you were open to changing your business culture (because it is corporate culture, not Minnesota culture that generates the norm that incorrectly assumes everyone should be up at 8am) -- it would be pretty simple, when having your reception staff do intake with new customers, to just ask, "If we need to call you, what hours are you generally available?", and then to take note of and honor the response. Doing so would be a great way to attract more loyalty from some of the many Minnesotans who are aging and disabled, and again, there are plenty of us. Was trying to get additional gutters installed since this company apparently installed gutters on my house before I had bought it but there was a small section that still needed gutters. The sales rep came out and looked at my house and said he would get back to me. After several days of not hearing back I had to contact them again. The quote was way too high for what I needed done so I gave them my budget to see what they could do, bt then they just ghosted me. In summary, poor value, poor customer service. read more

Also had a corner come out that they fixed but when I needed more work work due to hail they wanted their money upfront and told me they would put me on a waiting list because they were a couple months out. Never heard of such a thing. I also was to receive 75 percent off installation but it still cost me over $5,000 for a rambler! Can't imagine what full price would have been. Got my gutters finished a couple weeks ago. We went with Lindus because the salesman sold us on a company that's over the top professional and being the best. Said it would be like they never came and the gutters were installed with any sign of them being there. Well that's what we were expecting. After the service was finished I walked the boarder of our home and found 20 screws! And 10 nails! Left on the ground. Along with various sizes in metal chunks and a knife and brackets. All again were left on the ground. And I did find a couple left at the foot of the driveway. I did like the payment plan that they offer. Zero interest loan if paid in full by 12 months and no payments if needed. So we didn't have to drop $5,300 and take it on as time goes. The gutters look nice yes but I have a corner leaking water right now which they said they would let them know about that. So we'll see how long it takes for them to fix that. I had a 9am appointment with Jordan to give me an estimate to replace a laundry room hopper window which was destroyed by burglar in a home invasion on night before Thanksgiving this year was able to make temp fix with piece of sheet rock but cold air still got in and easy access to get in so I needed a permanent fix quickly my wallet was also stolen during home invasion; I told Jordan story and asked him if they could get window replaced this week ? Because lwas pretty stressed about easy access into house and cold weather in forecast Jordan informed me that it would be a few weeks to get new window and set up an install date. He then saw the stress on my face and said don't worry I have a plan.. let me do estimate first; he then did estimate and recommended block or farm window which couldn't be kicked in like regular window.. and it was less expensive than regular window then Jordan set his plan into motion! He asked if I had drill and circular saw? neighbor did have both tools Jordan then said he will be right back he had to run to menards and get some foam for keeping cold air out and a big piece of plywood to cover window opening to make it burglar proof.. Jordan new my wallet was taken during robbery so I didn't have a way to pay for materials... he just told me don't worry I'll be right back. He returned with materials put the foam in window opening and cut the plywood to cover window opening to secure the house again got done with that in no time and then went over pricing for new block/ farmers window collected my down payment with a check haha I haven't written one of them in a while I then asked him how much for the materials? He said nothing you've been through enough and you being my customer us good enough payment for me what a wonderful man Jordan is!!! He just made my whole year!! I truly regret leaving Bad Feedback for any business, but I feel the need to WARN OTHERS about Lindus Construction's very Deceptive Advertising and Unprofessional way of handling consumer issues. Please SEE THE ATTACHED TV AD PHOTO! Before I rant here, LINDUS could have easily prevented this review. Instead they chose to change their prices (see #2 below) They also pay people to contest this review in detail, and pay their Customer Service people to deny me my request for truth and honesty. Both costing them even more money. And, this REVIEW may cost them more customers. They also had a Meeting I'm told, which obviously COST THEM MORE than the amount in dispute. Check their other Reviews too before doing business with this crooked company. Also, Check my other company reviews. I am very Fair and Honest. 1. VERY LATE When I called them initially, they told me it would be 8-10 weeks. After that time had past, I got another call informing me it would be ANOTHER 8-10 WEEKS. Frustrated with this info, I finally called them again during this newly conveyed waiting period. They told me they just had a cancellation and because of that, they could squeeze me in. Had I not called them myself again at that time, I'm sure the wait time would be longer. Maybe another 8-10 weeks perhaps, based on their lack of communication. 2. Their TV AD STATED 75% off INSTALLATION They gave me 50% off instead. I actually have TWO Pictures of their TV AD. One was taken APRIL 29, 2020 and the other in JULY 20, 2020 BOTH CLEARLY SHOW 75% OFF INSTALLATION. 3. ADS SHOW $100 DOLLAR VISA GIFT CARD I never received this either. 4. LINDUS CONSTRUCTION REQUIRES 1/3 DOWN PAYMENT I GAVE A FULL 1/2 DOWN in CASH. 5. CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDE When I called and asked them to adjust the bill to reflect the clearly visible TV advertised price, they flat out said NO. The same goes with the Gift Card, which was never received. They said they can't help me. The fact is, they CAN but CHOOSE NOT TO. 6. SALES GUY He was very nice. He did use very beat up sample of a competitors gutter however, and trashed talked their product. It was very dirty and flimsy. The LEAF GUARD sample however was in new pristine condition. It barely flexed barely at all - as it was short and assembled on both ends, making it appear stronger, not just on one end, as the competitors was. 7. WORKMANSHIP WAS GOOD. So you can be assured I'm not just another bitchy person letting off steam, I have to say they did a great job with the installation. In fact, I even tipped the 2 workers who performed the work. They were awesome, friendly and cleaned up perfectly. I gave LINDUS 2 STARS because the product seems good and I had a good experience with the installers. HOWEVER... I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM as they are dishonest in their advertising, which is the main reason I chose them over the others, WAY OVERPRICED, and their Customer Service was AWFUL! I chose Lindus to replace my roof and gutters and to install Velux skytubes for extra light. My past experiences had been good, but this one was pretty awful and would never have come out right without the diligence of Brittney Mikla. I signed the contract in early May 2023 and was told it would happen in 10-12 weeks. Instead it wasn't started until after Labor Day. They installed domed plastic tops instead of flat glass which was ordered and that had to be changed. The guy who cut through my ceiling didn't use drop cloths and I had a mess that took hours to clean up. The installer in the attic cut a wire that put out some of my lights. Brittney scheduled an electrician to fix it, and he put his foot through the ceiling. She next scheduled two people to repair that damage. Then one of the inner solar panels that give night light was defective. By now we were headed south for the winter. Brittney stayed on top of everything and sent someone to try to replace the solar panel from outside, which they couldn't do. They discovered frost on the glass so removed it and stuffed insulation in the tubes. Brittney didn't forget us over the winter and asked when we would return so she could schedule the repair. When I got back the guys removed the insulation batts and we cleaned the inner glass. They hadn't brought the new solar panel to replace the defective one though. I mentioned that I thought the glass frosted up in the winter because the tubes hadn't been insulated. A call was made to Lindus and I was told it would cost another $1400 to insulate and I sent an email to Brittney saying I would just have to live with it as is. By the next day she told me she looked up my original contract and the insulation was included. She was determined that this job be finished correctly. She sent Randall Bowman who insulated the tubes and replaced the defective little solar panel and he did the job perfectly with NO further damage. If it weren't for Randall and Brittney, I don't think I could have even given this job one star. Brittney definitely deserves a raise. read more

I had water in my basement coming from a front corner of my house. Leafguard gutter said they can fix the problem with gutters. So I spent $7,000 to take care of the issue. The salesman put two downspouts right at my problem corner. This made things worse. I had to dig a foot deep trench to collect the gutter water and take it away from the foundation. The only solution Leafguard offered was to run an 8 foot downspout into the middle of my front yard. This was after the trench was half dug. Then they put gutters up on my garage which is just a slab and already had a wonderful slop. This extra bit of unnecessary gutters must have cost over $1,500, but they just said they will have the salesman be careful with the next quote. Meanwhile I'm stuck with a trench in my yard and paying down a big gutter bill. read more

We had a great initial experience with gutter installation with the exception of a few screws from the installation process that found their way into our driveway, sidewalk and yard. Those don't go well with bare feet. The reason for the one star is that we had an initial consult after hail damage because we were already working on a window replacement contract for the whole house. We were assured that they would follow up with our insurance company to request a supplemental settlement to meet the replacement costs. After many emails asking for details and the additional amount requested we found out that none of that work had actually happened. We lost most of the summer and are now looking into other companies to start the initial work in the spring. I was shocked at the amount of money they were walking away from. Now I come here and see that I really shouldn't have been so surprised. read more

We hired Lindus Construction to replace 3 windows, and gutters and install vinyl shakes on our house in July of 2022. We were told that because of supply chain issues and the color of my shake siding was special order it would take a few months before the project would begin. No problem. The windows were installed quickly and efficiently that fall. My siding project, I was told, would finally start in December. Yay! They finished the project after a few weeks of a very challenging job. Even a novice like me could see many mistakes were made and I bet we picked up 3 lbs of nails- not exaggerating. Shortly after the crew left, I got a call from Lindus's quality control guy, Josh. He was going to come out to inspect everything. He stayed at least 2 hours looking carefully over everything. He took notes and promised that everything would be fixed. It was almost like he was an independent inspector- like he wasn't employed by Lindus because of how thorough and critical he was. True to his word, a different team, TJ and Julio came out and took care of everything. Even though this project took a year from start to finish, I would recommend Lindus Construction and their commitment to doing a quality job. read more

Finally, after about 10 years, we had our crappy Lindus steel siding replaced with LP 2. When Lindus did our siding, they sold us on steel because you never had to paint it and it had no seams. Lindus forgot to tell us (probably along with every other customer) that the steel expands and contracts so much as the sun hits it and a cloud casts shade that you can hear it not only as you're sitting outside on your deck, but also in your house! It sounds like the crinkling of tin foil and the creaking of walking on a wooden floor. After repeated calls and correspondence with Lindus, they did not want to take responsibility for their salesman and so they said it was a product problem. The steel siding company said it was an installation problem. Nobody accepted responsibility for anything. At the end of the day, Lindus was either selling a bad product or installing it poorly..... and we suffered with it for 10 years. Thank God for hail storms and thank goodness the crappy steel siding that Lindus sold us is gone! read more

Too bad 1/2 star isn't an option. Seeing their commercials and public relation stunts is frustrating. Lindus installed Leaf Guard gutters on my home with no planning. Their gutter placement led to water pooling and water damage. They also put a down spout 3 feet off the ground, which looked ridiculous. When they came back to fix the issues, they almost took off after kind of fixing one of the issues. Andy Lindus just bitched about how far he had to drive the second time. P.s. Our window installation began in October of 2020. When our salesman came out, I asked if the shades that we had were going to fit. His reply was, yes. We had new shades that were only about 1 1/2 years old (that is why I asked) that were from Aero Drapery. When the new windows were installed and I had Aero Drapery out to measure for a new shade for the bathroom window (the only shade that hadn't been replaced). We looked at the shades and none of them were going to fit anymore. Unfortunately, we found out after the fact, that 90% of the time, the shades are not going to fit the new windows. We spent over $2,000 getting new window shades and having the installer come out and remove the shades from the old windows and come back again to reinstall the new shades. Now, we have to have the installer once more come back to take down the new shades and then back again to reinstall them. The window trim inside was done wrong - we had asked for picture frame style like we have in the living room. Only the (kitchen) was to be installed with the apron style. I brought this to to our salesman's attention right away after I came home and saw what had been done, but decided we would be okay with them because of the work involved to replace the wood. The windows were of poor quality - we originally had wanted Marvin windows but our salesman said these were just as good, high energy efficient windows and a lot less expensive. Now I see why they were less! The workmanship for the outside caulking, etc, is sloppy. We had a bay window and a living room window installed in the past and the bay window had a nail sticking through on the window sill (I ended up taking a dremel and filing it back down - it now has some sealer to prevent any leaking). Again, I didn't make a big deal out of it, but in reality, I should have requested the side double hung window be replaced. When we had the last crew out, we started looking at ALL the windows. The bay window wasn't wrapped at all and there is a loose piece. The caulking is sloppy and the trim looks bad. The new windows that were installed have gaps on the right side and do not shut properly. When the crew came out to install the windows in October, the bedroom window was the wrong size and we had to put in a different one while it was re-ordered. We waited at least 6 weeks and when that window arrived, it was also not shutting properly (defective). Now we are in a holding pattern while the manufacturer supposedly is remaking the windows that will close properly. I have a hard time believing that when the windows were installed, that the installers didn't notice that the frames didn't fit correctly and that there were gaps on the sides. I have to say that I am not happy with the windows or the workmanship. I had requested a meeting in mid-March and we are still waiting to have new windows installed. Communication has been poor. I am the one that has requested a meeting and I am the one that has been reaching out to find out what is going on. I am told that the manufacturer is still making our windows (this has been since March and it is now the end of May). read more

Great Follow Through They do what they say they are going to do. No surprises. Just honest hard work and no games. They built our composite deck and it was beautiful. Our sales rep worked really hard with us for months to get the design and materials just right. He brought over samples and drew and re-drew many designs. We felt really comfortable once the project began and it turned out more beautiful than we had even imagined. Ever time I called the office someone answered the phone and got me answers or got me to the right person. Every time I emailed someone they got back to me within 1 business day. The crew was polite and hard working. Just a really good experience all around for a major project. I highly recommend them for gutters also. read more

1-Both of the manager of our window department and our COO have made calls to the Lee at the above phone number to discuss his complaint and those calls have not been returned. The calls have not been returned due to a death in the family. Josh from Lindus called yesterday and Andy (son of owner) called today. Andy's message was a whopping 6 seconds that said "Lee Andy Lindus here call me." Very helpful. 2-We are very willing to bring Lee's door up to code but did want to convey that the reason that the door must be secured shut is because he initially intended to have a deck installed in that area Great. I am most happy after over a year Lindus is willing to help. Let me also be clear that after waiting a year and sending Andy Lindus two texts (with no response from Andy) I reopened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin. Let me also be clear that the only reason Andy Lindus called me is because I reopened previous complaint with the BBB. Josh said my issue was the first he heard of. It was the first he heard of it because when Andy said via text to me "I'll get Josh and Greg on this right way" he did not act I was considering putting on a deck yes but subsequently changed my mind at which time I alerted Andy deck door needs to be secured. Deck door with no deck needs to be secured because deck door is more than 30" above grade. If I owned Lindus I would have resolved issue immediately. I don't own Lindus so after my problems gets resolved it will not be my problem 3-After our previous encounter with this Lee, our COO explained to him that even if we were to charge double our standard rates to build the deck, our company would lose money. This is due to the fact that Lee continuously finds fault with flawless craftsmanship by industry leading installers utilizing the top-tier products he personally selected I find comment number #3 above quite interesting. Andy often is forgetful, does not act or truly believes in his product which he should believe in but again here is what happened. Forget about a deck that never was. I ordered new windows. Windows came and multiple windows were the incorrect size-So I had to wait a month for replacement windows. Replacement windows came. All windows were installed. In Lindus construction words ".........utilizing the top-tier products her personally selected." True I did select Season Guard windows. What I did not agree to receive were windows with warped sashes. Yes this is what happened. Lindus installed sashes which were warped and did NOT say anything. Once I saw sashes were warped I contacted Lindus and told them what occurred. They replaced all the sashes and all are good except for one sash. Thomas Kolkmeier who is a territory sales manager from Sunrise Windows and doors was out at my Chanhassen home to help with replacement sashes. Now let me be clear to Andy Lindus and Lindus construction. When Thomas installed the sash that is still currently warped he said give it a season and with the warming and cooling of the seasons the sash should be fine. Well it is over a year and the sash is still warped. You would think someone form Lindus would check in and ask if sash is fine-NOPE. No contact. All Andy Lindus needs to do is to tell Thomas to order replacement Sash and install it. I expect this to happen. I have given the sash a year and nothing has changed. If they do not replace it I will file another complaint with the BBB 4-We understand that this statement was found to be upsetting by the homeowner. However, we stand firm on this point. Should the homeowner have been able to render the services of another contractor willing to work with him on the decking project, the door in question would not have been required by the city to have been secured shut To be clear the issue is that once I decided not to put deck on patio door needed to be secured. Once I knew deck was not going to be put in I contacted Andy via text (again no action by Lindus) to have patio door secured What Lee expects from Lindus 1-To do what is necessary to have windows pass inspection and 2-To have Lindus replace last warped sash Anything Lee will not be accepted Very simple to fix Lee read more

Beware before you hire Lindus Construction to work on your home...What should have been a simple re-roofing job in June 2018 turned into a disaster that lasted 8 months. The day before our re-roofing job was to start, Lindus's subcontractor was negligent and caused over $15K in damage to our home by dumping the roll-off bin for the old roof shingles into the front of our garage. In addition to the major structural and cosmetic damage. this generated a lot of unnecessary stress and created a major inconvenience for 8 months as we had limited use (and at times, no use) of our garage space. Lindus was initially attentive and vowed to make things right, but the situation quickly derailed through a series of delays which we believe, came from poor customer service, inattentiveness, lack of follow up, repeated excuses, and eventually a sense that Lindus did not have an urgency to get things corrected. One would think that a mistake like this would have put us at the top of their priority list to have things fixed ASAP. Wrong! We quickly learned from conversations with Lindus employees that Lindus wasn't willing to allocate workers from its other jobs to make our situation right. Instead, we were fit into their schedule as time permitted and only when they had people available. Our issue could and should have been reasonably resolved in about 6 weeks if managed properly and it undoubtedly would have been if our last name had been Lindus. To get this issue resolved, it required multiple calls, texts, and reminders from us weekly and monthly to Lindus management to prod them along and to get status updates from them. It was rare that they would proactively call us to let us know when materials or workers would be on-site. We often had between 12-24 hours' notice and would have to scramble to take time off from our jobs to be available to make sure Lindus' workers and their subcontractors were actually showing up when they were supposed to and that repairs were getting done satisfactorily. Many times, their people did not show up or would cancel the morning they were supposed to be there, adding to our frustration after we had made the effort to be there for them. After being told by Lindus on two occasions that the bricks on our house were no longer made due to the age of our home, we took the time and initiative to seek out possible replacement bricks, only to learn from a brick distributor and a brick manufacturer that our bricks actually were still being produced and sold. Pure laziness and incompetence on the part of Lindus. Excuses and mistakes continued to be made on other items (wrong materials ordered, wrong colors, wrong sizes, things installed incorrectly) and we were constantly dealing with different people because Lindus never seemed to send the same people out to manage the overall repair project or to do the work, so quality issues continually surfaced. We repeatedly asked for a list of the repair work that was being done but were never given any documentation. Our only recourse was to withhold payment on the original roofing job to motivate Lindus to get the repair work finished. We understand accidents and mistakes can happen, but how a company responds when an accident or mistake actually does happen speaks volumes about their integrity and their company culture. In the end, we are generally pleased with the original re-roof job that Lindus did in June 2018, but their installers damaged existing soffit, fascia and other trim work that never had any issues and they thought it was acceptable to leave it that way. In fact, they never reported the damage they caused to Lindus roofing supervisors or anyone else responsible for quality control at Lindus. This resulted in additional rework and more delays which did not get completely fixed until January 2019. Eventually Lindus did complete the roofing errors they caused and all of the other garage repairs from the original incident, although not to our complete satisfaction. In this whole experience, we will say that Lindus does did two things very well...First, they're very good in delaying to get an issue resolved, and second, when repeatedly asked whether they might consider issuing a goodwill credit on the roof balance to offset the repeated delays, our having to take time off from our jobs, the undue stress and our having to continually follow-up with them, they did an excellent job in avoiding our calls and giving us an answer. Par for the course with these guys and truly a shame that they apparently don't care about their reputation or doing the right thing from a customer service perspective. After 8 months, we're done wasting our time with them and so, based on our overall experience with Lindus Construction, we do not and will not recommend them to others. read more

We just had Leafguard gutters installed on the home where our son lies. During a very heavy rain the water gushed over the gutter in a spot that had the same problem with the old gutters. I called the company twice to request that someone come and check out this problem and offer a solution. NOBODY has returned my calls!! They are very eager to work with you when you want work done, but it looks like you are out of luck if there is a problem after the job is done. Considering the high cost of the gutters, I feel that the least they can do is stand behind their product. We just had Leafguard gutters installed by Lindus Construction and are completely satisfied with their work! Our sales rep went out of his way to please us. We,of course, shopped around and Lindus beat out all the competition! I cannot speak for their warranty because we've not had to use it! I read through the older reviews and I would guess the company may have been going through a major growth that wasn't projected well enough so customers weren't taken care of like they should have been. Not a good excuse but I can speak for 2016/2017 and they have their act together. read more

I agree with the previous writer about Lindus Construction and their Midwest Leafguard product and installation. The gutter wasn't installed with enough leeway to allow my front door to open fully, and the finally sent out an employee to try to resolve it. He wasn't able to find a solution but said he would have someone else get back to me. The door bumps and scrapes into the gutter every time it is opened. And no solution and no response to my request to have it resolved. Plus I had asked for a bid on window replacement and their rep disappeared. In addition, the gutters create horrendous ice dams along every inch of the roofline. Would be curious if anyone has found relief for this problem. read more

I called in May 2015 to get an estimate for new windows. I had to wait two weeks to get an appointment, but I set it up and waited. I have followed up 3 times now and this business has still not provided us with an estimate. My wife and I took time off work to meet with the estimator, and they won't even give us an estimate. It is July 10th now, I have no idea if they are good or not, but I can't wait for them any more. I would think they would follow up, or not bother setting the appointment in the first place if they don't want any more business at this time. I had leafguard gutters on my first home and never had a single problem with them so I had them installed on my little bungalow when I downsized. Something is dreadfully wrong with this install....my gutters are clogged....the back yard run is full of sparrow nests. The diverters spill into the very areas I was trying to keep dry. I called last summer and no one ever responded. I called this summer in early June (2013) and they said they would make a service call. There has been no response at all. My gutters are a disaster and I am too old to be climbing up on ladders again.... If you have an alternative, I would go with it. Six weeks and no call, no visit is really pathetic. We had Lindus perform roof replacement due to hail damage additionally we had them add leaf guard gutters and a few windows that were in need of replacing. For the roof, they worked closely with our insurance company and ourselves during the whole process. In short they made it easy by walking us through the process and keeping us informed of what was happening next. I was impressed with their professionalism and workmanship. I kept an eye on the roof work, since I have replaced a number of previous home roofs in my day. What they said they would do they did, at every stage of the process. They are the first roofer I have ever had that when I walked the roof afterwards I discovered no exposed nails, no debris lying on the roof, and little to no debris lying on the grounds around the house. Even now after 3 months I can say the same thing. The leaf guard gutter installation also went flawlessly and they made sure they cleaned up afterwards. We had them replace our old windows with Season Guard Windows and have been thoroughly impressed with them. The first window was installed about 2 years ago, so it's gone through a bit of weather. They installed it during the winter and the process went without a hitch. They were clean and picked up after themselves. They went above my expectations with properly sealing the windows and also insuring that there would be no leaks around the opening as well that the flashing properly protected the structure. Even though the Season Guard Windows cost a bit more they, in my estimation, were worth the cost. We have since had them replace two other windows that were in need of replacement. Excellent project management and workmanship! I have had Lindus install two Leaf Guard Gutter Systems on my home. The first system was installed after careful research and I was very pleased with their product and service. The second system was installed after severe storm damage. Again, they did a great job on time and on budget. Every part of their sales and installation process is professional and pain free for the customer. They leave nothing to chance. One additional comment: I LOVE my Leaf Guard Gutters--no more fear and danger in climbing on the roof to clean out the gutters in the fall and spring. I hired a handyman to help with the task because of my fear of heights, but it was expensive and risky--if he fell, the costs could've been endless. You might think the gutter system is too expensive--it really isn't when you consider all of the benefits and safety! read more

Lindus installed gutters on my house prior to me owning it. I added an addition this past summer and needed to add a small section of gutters and tie into the existing ones. Even though the job was small, Lindus scheduled me immediatley and did a great job with the update. I was notified in a timely manner for the original estimate as well as when the install was scheduled. I was very satisfied with the experience and will certainly call them again for any future jobs I may have. read more

I've been using Lindus Construction for several years now. It started about 7 years ago with LeafGuard gutters. They came out on time, installed gutters front and back. They discussed what they could do and asked for my input. They then did the work, getting it all done in one day. They even gave me an extended drain where I felt it was a good thing to do, knowing how snow melt turned into puddles in the Spring. I've had ZERO problems with the gutters ever since. After that being such a great success, I then hired them a couple of years later to replace some rather large windows upstairs. It took them about a day and a half, but again, everything was perfect and very professionally done. (and yes, their price was not the least expensive, but I'm willing to pay a little more for quality). Then I wanted my front door replaced, as well wanted a "garden type" window in the kitchen. They did everything perfectly. They adjusted the door and side panel, and the outer screen door, explained to me about how to get the best results with the screen door, etc. They suggested a bump out window for the kitchen rather than a actual garden window. It was a good call, because the window looks absolutely excellent. Fast forward to this year, it was time to re-shingle my roof as I had 7 leaks in the living room with all the rain we got this year. They did an amazing job. The crew, even though there were about 6-7 people working up there, it was like a well oiled machine. Even though it was a complex roof with multiple valleys, and a fire place to deal with, they worked with such precision, it was amazing. Everybody knew their job. I now have a very beautiful roof, and no more leaks. (they even replaced some of the sheeting that was starting to have problems) read more

I had contacted Lindus about a month ago to get an estimate on insulation for our attic and new gutters. The representative from Lindus and I were discussing a time for them to come out to my house when he said out of nowhere "what time does your husband get home from work?". He first of all assumed I was married (which I am) and second, gave me the impression that I would need the help of my husband during this first visit. It bothered me, I told a few people and then moved past it. After meeting with the Lindus rep at our house and being given a quote, we signed the contract to have them do the work on our attic and gutters. About a week before the work on our attic was scheduled to be done, the Lindus rep who gave us the quote called my husband to say they had undercharged us by $4,000 (the initial bid being around 11K so now bumping it to 15K)! We were really upset because of such a significant discrepancy and miss on their part. I understand that mistakes happen but they didn't offer to meet us half-way, there was no apology, nothing. We have since received 2 quotes from other local reputable insulation companies and feel Lindus was going to overcharge us significantly. Our experience was not positive and I would not recommend working with this company. Not to mention my first interaction with them felt sexist and demeaning. These poor customer service interactions will follow Lindus - especially when people are feeling taken advantage of and disrespected. read more

Sorry to say that this business, which prides itself on its Leafguard gutters, provided very poor service this summer (2011.) I had a high gutter leaking onto a lower one, resulting in a very loud ping every 30 seconds after a rain. Starting in May I called three times, and each time had to wait for several weeks for a response. They claimed they could find no leak. I hired a private contractor who fixed the problem (finally) in late August, at my own expense. Lindus was unresponsive and inept, even though their service people were very polite. Having to wait 2, 3 or 4 weeks for a response to each call was particularly irritating. In mid July I wrote a polite letter to the company detailing the problem, and never received the courtesy of a response. I would never do business with Lindus again. The gutters are very expensive, and should be backed up by stellar service. read more

They just gave us a bid for 21 insert window replacements. Their price was $51,000--$14,000 higher than the next highest bid out of 4. These guys are robbers--trying to obtain unjust enrichment from hopefully some unknowledgeable dupe, taken in by their radio program every week on WCCO. read more

After having water damage from an ice dam, I called Lindus construction to repair a 7 foot wall requiring replacing the sheetrock. I also had additional work completed, which included new insulation put in my attic and steel siding put on for a total of $50,000 plus. This was my 6th project with Lindus in 5 years and had always been satisfied with their work even though their prices are high. This project was a nightmare for me. The sheetrock project took almost 6 weeks to complete rather than the 1 week I was told. Workers didn't show up or showed up later than I was told. I had to make several calls on differing days and the PM had no clue why the workers didn't show up. There was no follow-up by the PM on the workers quality/ finished work and he lied to me several time. I called Lindus Construction requiring one of the owners to call me to discuss this project and I never received a call back. Lindus has definitely lost their personal touch. I will never use this company again! read more

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the service and product we received with Lindus. The salesman was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional and the installation was fast and efficient. We had 35 year old wood windows with mold on the inside from condensation and with the new Season Guard windows we didn't have any condensation at all last winter. The whole process was seamless and we felt that everyone genuinely cared about the product and service that they were offering and ensured that we were satisfied as well. I have been listening the Andy Lindus construction for several years now. I have called to get a quote from them and they keep referring me to someone in St. Cloud, who I did have come out and install leaf guard gutters and was very satisfied. However, when we needed our 12ft x 6ft bow window replaced I really wanted a quote from Lindus. I was sure they said they came to Princeton, but they kept referring me to someone else. So...a couple of weeks ago I called WCCO radio and specifically asked if they came to Princeton,(as did another listener) and Andy said yes indeed they did. They following day I called and talked to Shannon. She said that they did not come to Princeton. I informed her that Andy had just told me on Saturday that they did. Her response was "I've only been working here for 13 years I should know, and 7:45 am is too early to get yelled at." I was dumbfounded as was my employee who was listening to the conversation. I tried to tell her that I certainly was NOT yelling at her, but she wouldn't let me get another word in. She made an appt. for the following day. At the end of the conversation I told her that as a Customer Service person she was rude and definitely out of line in her comments. In her defense she did apologize. Well, we got the bid. Andy mentions several times that there is NO labor or installation charges.....ya right! He fails to mention your have to replace at least 3 windows. Ours is a 6 window 12 ft. Bow!! Nope doesn't qualify. Plus their bid wat $3000-$5000 higher than other bids. Don't waste your time. However, Doug the gentleman who came out was very nice. read more
