The children's room is awesome, with lots of toys, books and a large open play space. The classes are usually packed and are interactive and fun for all the kids. The room that the classes take place in is large so there are no limits to who can attend. Spencer's music class every other Thursday is so fun; everyone has a great time and I'm obsessed with his "Disney medley" song. There are plenty of comfy chairs and private desks to use, a bunch of computers and everything is on a single floor. The parking can be a pain, as is the case with most of the Westchester libraries. The lot is usually full and is one-way, so getting out can be a pain. However, there is usually parking nearby, so it's not impossible, albeit a bit of a walk. The bestttt part about this library is its location and proximity to an awesome playground for younger children. The double swings are so unique, the rubber flooring is young child and post-rain friendly, and it's walkable to a nearby deli, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, etc. We've had some great mornings and afternoons here!

I'm surprised there's nothing written about it. It's a…read morecenter that has outdoor stores. Whole Foods and kohl's seem to be the biggest attractions. Party city and baby store. I'll look it up. Carvel ice cream and a deli. Home goods and dsw are there too. Some stores have closed models and pier one. As well as the pet store that was there. Leaping lizards use to be there too. There is a lot of parking. Jembro and staples are in the back area along with a store that sells appliances "Tripoli." Rumor has it that a target or Walmart is coming here. And jembro is moving to front. I can't wait to find out which one.

I wish it had a way to park for an hour, because when I pick up Lee from here (to head some place over in this area) there isn't a really good explanation for where short-term parking is. All there seems to be is parking for the restaurant, or 12-hour meters, which is overkill for waiting for 15-30 minutes. It's otherwise pretty ok.

Coming from NYC when you get off you have a bunch of taxi's waiting to take you home. There's bike parking and places to park your scooters. The parking lot is on the going to NYC side. There is a tunnel under the train to get you from one side to the other. The ticket dispenser is on the parking lot side. Late at night when i'm coming home from the city i will see a lady sitting inside sleeping. My friend says she's a local person and she's homeless. But she never seems to bother anybody, so i guess they leave her alone.

E four computers per table section but now it's two per table. I think there is 8 near the adult mystery section. There was two in the teen room, but of course if your not. Teen you can't really be there. They do holds like other libraries but unlike others you don't have to call to pick it up. I travel from my hometown because I've been having issues with pick up. Basically the computer will say I have a hold available for pick up but when I try and schedule a pick up it says I don't. Dah I've complained numerous times but the problem persists so I'll travel by bus to mamaroneck and pick up my items till they decide to allow people in. But I never have problems with mamaroneck. In fact I just attended their first zoom coloring class for an hour. I miss coloring in person but it was fun but they are only doing it once a month.

Upon the town's drastic budget changes and the amount it time for this building to be built you'd…read morelike something wonderful would be inside....but no. - when you enter, you will give your books in but they will not check them in immediately - the librarians are loud and will rush you off to another section - the children's room is covered in fabric which is known to carry germs longer. it also has over 6 foot tall bookcases in a children's room. there is also no bathroom nearby - the bathroom is in the basement. near rooms that are used for nothing. frequently you'll find people hanging out down here for no reason. Lastly, these librarians are not nice. The word "hello" is easy to say but it's not said here. They've replaced the head staff twice and no one is friendly. From a more personal point of view, I think this town tried to make a library that would match NYC standards in a town that doesn't care as much about a library as Rye or Larchmont does. The front steps even manage to flood when it rains. I would like to see this library improve but it would cost the town too much money.

If…read moreyou are out of town and/or don't ride the train very often it isn't exceptionally obvious what you should be doing. Thankfully there were some really nice people that were willing to help out a little and show me the ropes, from parking to getting the tickets. The help they provided was 5+ stars. Parking: Kind of a problem, everything is parking permit only. I was told that after 5:00 they rarely check for permits and 'you should' be ok. Worst case you get a parking ticket, not towed. I really didn't have time to stress about it, so I went with it. Thankfully they were right and I didn't get a ticket. When you are here you have to cross to the other side of the track to purchase your ticket. The train was really close to running on time and only had to wait a couple minutes. 40 - 45 minutes ride to get in to Grand Central including all the stops along the way for pick ups and drop offs. Last train back runs pretty late out of the city. The one I caught was at 11:30, but they had at least two more trains after mine with the latest somewhere between 12:30 and 1:00 am. Overall price and experience isn't bad. Primarily, I wish that they had parking that wasn't permit only. They may have, I just wasn't able to find it.

It's a pretty decent train station but nothing special…read more The platforms could be wider, especially at certain points, where it gets very tight during rush hour. The inside waiting area is small and the benches are pretty uncomfortable, clearly by design. They're basically wire frame with zero padding. Even a short sit is not comfortable. Seems like a bit of a missed opportunity - it could be - and should be- designed to be much more commuter friendly. Upside? It's right near town, many can walk to it and there's ample parking for both cars and bikes.
