Considering I have a long long family connection to this location and train station, I feel…read moreentitled to write a review. I've seen it in good times and bad. Whether it's safe these days at certain hours I'm not sure. I know I wasn't fond of traveling to Port Chester alone at times in my life. I remember the times I needed a cab. Finding a cab was hit or miss. Incoming trains are not on the side where you can easily enter the Station Building. You walk down the long flight of stairs to a back street. Frequently my family would be waiting outside the station to pick me up. Sometimes they were late! I've never seen the inside of the station dirty. I always found it deserted. I didn't travel during peak hours. On my return trips to Manhattan I go outside and wait patiently for the train. I'm always afraid I'll miss it if I wait inside. I sure don't want to be stuck there waiting for the next train! When my Cousin Jim was alive we would sit in the car and talk. When we saw the train coming I'd head upstairs to the track. He'd wait to see I boarded safely. That memory makes me sad. It was nice to be cared for by a Cousin/Brother. Since he died I don't go back to Port Chester much. So much has changed since I was growing up. This station used to have a small coffee stand that…read moresold newspapers, and bagels. The best part of it was the man behind the stand. He was blind. I was always amazed on how he was able to give people the exact change. Today the shop no longer exists. It is now a Restaraunt that is only open in the spring and summer time. This location gets commuters from Greenwich, rye and Port Chester. I can see a Starbucks here making a killing.

We arrived at 10:30, which I would recommend based on crowds. My 4 and 5 year old had a good time, though I'd say this spot is optimal for slightly older and above. There were just a handful of activities they really couldn't do. That being said, I saw a bunch of toddlers who were also having a blast. The namesake slide was closed all morning, which was a bummer, but I'm also not sure my kids would have actually done it. The trampolines, acrobatic swing bar, and multi-level play structure were their favorites. I agree that some people working here were more happy to be there. The waiver is long. Try to do it ahead of time.

Great experience at Air Riderz Adventure Park in Port Chester…read more Large covered parking lot shared with other stores and shops nearby. We used a Groupon and had no issues redeeming when visiting on a Friday morning. We were instructed to complete the waivers at the kiosks near the entrance. We did have to purchase the mandatory socks which was $18 for three (3) pairs. Before proceeding to the play areas, we put our things in the little cubes they have for storage...i.e. shoes, bags, etc. Keep in mind these are open cubes which anyone can access. I never felt unsafe in leaving our things there...but as always, there is a risk. It was not very crowded on a Friday morning at around 10:30am (they open at 10) so it was a pleasure navigating the space with minimal crowds. There are lots of areas to enjoy for both adults and children. The main area has trampolines as well as some interactive areas where you jump to tap buttons and two video screens where you mimic the movements on screen...both area great. There are a few obstacle courses: ninja, balance beam, and swing pit. The basketball area is also great with a cushioned surface, two hoops, and targets where you can throw balls at. There are two huge slides in the center which are fun. Finally, there a "rock climbing" area with a few different climbing options. You must have the "climb" option added to your pass in order to use it though. You will be belayed during the climb. Be mindful that the gripped socks provided do NOT offer the best grip while climbing in my opinion...climbing was much more difficult that I experience in traditional rock climbing places that provide rock climbing shoes...then again, maybe it is just me. There is a food area which sells some snacks: soft drinks, chips, candy. There are also a few tables nearby where you can eat. Overall we had a great time here...the space was very clean and well-maintained. All staff we encountered were very nice. Be sure to check ahead if visiting with toddlers as there are some restrictions on which areas they are able to visit.

Despite my best efforts in the past to do Fall train rides, which turned out to be disappointing only because there was never any good colors on trees, this by far is the very best fall foliage experience I've ever had in my life. You get great views of the tree color transitions and just great photo opportunities. It does get cold on the water so bring a jacket. Experience is as excellent as last time with beverages and snacks for purchase. If you enjoy fall colors, great scenery and boats then you have to do this at least once.

In one…read moresentence, I would describe this location as clean, modern rooms with the worst front desk staff I've seen in hotel history. When my boyfriend and I arrived, there was only one group being helped by the front desk staff. I went to the restroom and came back and they were still not done. And then we waited for a while longer. How hard is it to check one person in? Well, I found out firsthand. The system somehow didn't capture my Marriott Bonvoy account. Front desk staff struggled to tab through their archaic-looking system to enter basic information. Later on when my friend arrived, they dealt with similar delays and were stuck in the lobby for quite some time. Staff did NOT accommodate the request for our wedding party to all be on the same floor. Also the staff member she spoke with did not know if they could get her a high chair to do make up, and needed to ASK THEIR MANAGER, who wasn't on site. Jeez. How hard is it to get a chair? On a more positive note, the room itself was clean. The bed could have been more comfortable. I had difficulty sleeping. If you look at the picture, the tv was oddly placed next to the tv and not in front of the tv. Strange. They had a blow dryer, a fridge, and dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. In my friend's suite, they also had a microwave. Based on this experience, Marriott is ranking below Hilton and Hyatt for me. I know Courtyard is their no frills brand, but I've had better experiences at their competitor's no frills brands.

Wow!! I can't stop…read morethinking about what a wonderful day today was, and it's all thanks to the great people at Kids U. We celebrated my son's 3rd birthday here today and what could normally be a stressful day for most parents, ended up being such a breeze!! From the start, before the big day, communication was clear and we were given exact pricing. I went in a few weeks before the big day and the manager (?) was kind enough to give me a tour and a rundown of exactly how the time would be spent. For the first half hour, the kids have free range of the jungle gym area, that reminded me of Discovery Zone from my youth. The next half hour was spent in a separate room that had trampolines, rock walls, swings, bubbles, balls...it was kid heaven. Keep in mind our group had age ranges from 1 all the way to 11, and everyone seemed entertained! During the whole time the staff was super attentive and assisted any of the kids if they needed help. The last half hour we all moved to the food area that was decorated so beautifully, where everyone enjoyed the cake and food and again, the staff was super on point and handled everything. They served the kids food, they cut and served the cake, and they cleaned up when we were done! I can't reiterate enough how efficient the 3 women were! I 10/10 recommend Kids U for any birthday parties you may be considering. Thank you guys, so much!!

If you're in seats along the wall, you 'will' be distracted from the glare of the television light (as I recently was back in Row N!). We had just come from a very nice restaurant and paid well less than that for quality!

Oh, and I should mention that the parking was a piece of cake. The reason this venue only gets three stars is simple: the bartenders were massively over serving. This was by far the drunkest crowd of concert-goers I've ever been in. It was literally unsafe. The venue gets props for having gender neutral bathrooms...they just don't have enough of them. The lines were nuts and for this show there were booze-fueled fights happening while you were waiting to take a leak. All in all, not a great vibe.
