However, it was 7:40 before the meal arrived. At one point, one of the waitresses asked if she could bring us a dessert menu or our check. That's how long we sat there. We had to tell her we hadn't eaten yet. When the food did finally arrive, the steak was cooked unevenly and served almost cold, as was the portobello mushroom...which was dry and overcooked. Additionally, I'm not sure there were 16oz of meat on that tray. Totally irritating and not worth the money. No where near worth the money. The only reason they get two stars: the salad was actually pretty decent, as was the bread service.

We started with a cup of Jalapeño and Cilantro Soup. It's a cream based soup. I couldn't detect much of any heat from the Jalapeños and the cilantro was pretty much hidden. Maybe a sprinkling of fresh cilantro on top would have made it more pronounced. It also needed to be served hot. We then got the 14oz Ribeye which came with mashed potatoes & green beans. This was a great plate of food! It came out hot! The person who brought it out waited until we cut into it to see if it was acceptable. We've never had any staff person do that for us before! It was a little under done on one side, but the other was perfect. We almost finished the plate. It was delicious! Lastly, we got the Chocolate Bread Pudding Tamale. It comes wrapped in a corn husk that it is cooked in. You remove it and eat the bread pudding. It was gummy in a good way, as hubby described it.
