Small restaurant in need of renovations ceilings stained and nasty. Floor and tables clean. Staff friendly! Food was as expected for environment. Variety of choices. Green beans and egg drop soup were good. The roasted chicken was flavorful. The egg rolls and dumplings were "ok" but cold! The other dishes were typical versions of oriental food but lacked flavor. We passed over thru road trip from Dallas to Cali, this is a small town, dusty, oil smell every where n during freeway... sucks... we can't breath, and certainly it's also kinda dirty, poor countryside. With not many choices in town, I decided I wanted veggies and meat. They have entrees as well as buffet. I came here twice and ordered different things; it was a hit or miss. The first thing I ordered were the Singapore noodles and sauteed green beans which were good! I recommend the green beans. I think they are my favorite dish so far here. The Singapore noodles were a bit bland but that's why sriracha exists. I got it with shrimp and they gave me a lot of it. The egg foo young was not good. Comes in 2 puffs of egg with whatever meat you choose (got shrimp again) and when I opened the container it didn't look appetizing. One was definitely overcooked/burnt and egg had a weird texture- too airy and foamy. I couldn't eat it so I just picked out the shrimp because there was at least an abundant amount. I've eaten at worst looking restaurants, the interior wasn't bad the table was clean and the service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately the food was not labeled, so at times I would guess at what I was eating, as long as it looked fresh ish I'd throw a little bit on my plate and Sample the flavors. This place is a D.U.M.P. You know how you see the TV commercials with some restaurant touting their big, juicy and tasty burgers, and you see the picture and say to yourself "must. have. one. of. those!"? Pictures posted look great, but the place is a dirty, pathetic little hole in the wall and the pictures look nothing like what you will find in this place. (great, nice timing, we're almost finished) Taste was nothing like anything you'd expect from a half-way decent asian restaurant. We all wondered who would get sick first, but fortunately none of us did. As we were leaving we commented that we shouldn't have been surprised. The only reason this is getting three stars instead of one or two is because it is in Pecos. For those of you are familiar with the small oil town you know not to expect much from the food options there. The inside is depressing. It is a sad yellow color and everything looks run down. There are a few decorations on the wall but it looks like they put no effort into the atmosphere of the place. The food is disappointing. Its served buffet style but nothing is labeled so you just have to guess what it is by the look of it. The food is also on the lukewarm to cold side.
