Part of the agreement included filling in all cracks before sealing, but several were left untouched. He also promised to apply two coats of sealant but barely managed one -- and the coverage was noticeably uneven. His equipment broke down multiple times (including different machines), causing a four-day delay in what should have been a straightforward job. It was clear throughout the process that he lacked the necessary knowledge and expertise for the work. To make matters worse, he caused a scene at the end, demanding payment despite the poor quality and incomplete work. We do not recommend Richards General Contracting for any commercial or professional sealing projects.

What I hired him for: leveling my property, ripping up existing contractors grass and weeds (new build), and re-seeding my lawn. What I got: a massive and dangerous drop from my back door to my backyard, a completely unsupported central AC unit, a yard that looked more bald than a 90 year old man, and tons of remaining weeds. In addition to the $7,500 I paid him, I had to shell out thousands more to have someone build stairs as well as a support for the AC. I will eventually have to pay even more for someone to come rectify the unlevel ground under my deck.

The biggest job I've hired him for so far was to brace/strengthen and refinish my deck. I had the decking replaced last year, but didn't get around to finishing it after it had seasoned. A year passed and the wood was starting to look dry and cracked. My little daughter couldn't go out barefoot anymore because she would get splinters every time. Kris gave me a competitive quote and made an excellent recommendation on a material to refinish and protect the decking. Now the deck looks brand new, it has a little bit of texture to provide traction if it's wet, no more splinters, and it's super easy to clean. It was an all-day job for Kris and two helpers, and I couldn't be happier. I appreciate that Kris is willing to do some little jobs too. I hired him to clean my gutters, and another time I hired him to do some repair work and repainting to part of the exterior of my house. It's good to have a business like KAR that you can always call on to do good work for anything related to home improvement or home repair.

They were able to get it done within a couple of weeks of filing our claim. I had concerns about the weather and daylight savings time, but Christian assured me of the timeline and weather restrictions. His team of roofers were amazing, they worked their butts off and basically did it in one day. The day they did it was cold, too. They returned the next day to check the roof and the property for debris since they finished as it was getting dark. I was impressed with the final "Roof Work Report" of the whole project with detailed photos from start to finish. This report is a professional tool to have in your homeowner's documents file. I would definitely recommend this company. Excellent Value to my property.
