They knew exactly what would do the trick, and offered other suggestions also. A few years ago I bought a short sale that had overgrown gardens (Picture the infamous "Grey Gardens"/ Hamptons. Similar state of overgrowth from lack of attention over years.) Corner property- so lots of gardens. On a tight budget with rehabbing, I stuck with big box hardware store for most plantings. But, when in a quandry as to "will it survive?" and "why is it dieing (and replaced every year)? Kirshners knowledge is top notch! You can't get that at a big box store. Priceless. And the plants/ trees/ bushes are very healthy at Kirshners. What I really like is the customer service. Upon pulling into the property, they instinctively know to let you look around for awhile before approaching. Impeccable timing. They are eager to help, though not overbearing. They LISTEN to your concerns, issues, preferences. The owner (I think- he's always there, and always on the move, but never too busy to put the customer first) is such a pleasure! I understand that they have huge accounts, both commercial and residential. But I get incredible service with my 1-4 plant purchases. If I ever have a large project (if I ever hit the lottery! LOL!), Kirshners will be my first stop for major work of patios and ponds and fountains. For now, I just so enjoy absorbing the vast amount of information I receive from Kirshners with my small purchases.

Throughout the years he's the only contractor that has consistently been available when problems arise. Having built a new house and experienced many changes throughout the years, the one consistency that we had was Crawford irrigation. I could not recommend beau and crawford irrigation more. I interviewed several of the other irrigation companies in the area not only were their prices exorbitantly high but they made promises that a lot of my neighbors have since told me they did not deliver on. As a matter fact, I recommended them to many of my friends and they too have had much success.
