Everybody knows that a half-bushel is 3-3.5 dozen and that a bushel is 6.5-7.5 dozen, except for these folks. Got 52 "large" crabs for bushel. So I called from my home and business phone to complain. Got put on hold. Luckily, I still have a 410 cell phone number, so they picked up and I got to talk to someone. This is by far the worst business I've dealt with online. They may be great up close and personal, but for online orders, the product they deliver is not even close to what they advertise on their website. On top that if, you are an unsatified customer, you will be ignored. Not cool. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Black sludge and spots on crab legs. So salty they were inedible. Flesh of stone crab claws stuck to inside of shells so almost impossible to extract meat. Complained and totally ignored. Had been a regular online customer spending $300+ each time. No more. Seafood quality is not what is was, not even close and they don't give a damn. I called Linton Seafood on Thursday July 3rd 2014 regarding my planned crab feast on Saturday July 5th. The man I spoke with told me to order the crabs online Thursday July 3rd for delivery on Friday July 4 to be sure to have them for my Saturday July 5th crab feast. I ordered 2 dozen crabs online for delivery on Friday July 4th as he instructed me. At 6 pm on Friday July 4th, no crabs had been delivered. I called Linton Seafood but they were closed. I called FedEx and UPS and was told neither were making deliveries on Friday July 4th. This was the first time I tried buying crabs online for delivery and it was a nightmare. Other online crab houses may be okay but Linton Seafood crab house is not to be trusted. Do not put your faith in Linton Seafood to perform or you will end up as I did with five guests coming for crabs and NO CRABS. read more

I had been searching the lower Eastern Shore for fresh soft shell crabs and Linton's said they had them. I placed a small order and said I would pick them up the next day, but when I got there, they knew nothing about my order and the only soft shells they had were frozen - exactly what I did not want. But I was heading north, so bought a half dozen and a pound of fresh lump crabmeat. The ultimate insult? The crab was from Oriental, North Carolina. This place is bad news. read more

Not sure why all of the bad reviews about this place. But it does seem most of them are orders that were shipped. Came here with 6 adults and 2 children. You order at the counter in another room and pay. Then they bring it out to you. The ayce crabs were only 30.00 and came with corn on the cob too. They were mediums and had plenty of meat. Others at the table had crab cake sandwiches and soft shelled crab sandwiches. Also a dozen large crabs. We were all pleased with our meals and would return. read more

I had crab balls shipped to my home. They were very skimpy and had a fishy taste and little or no seasoning . They were overly priced for the content even if they were good, the shipping container made the weight. read more

I ordered $114.94 worth of crabcakes online from Linton's in July, 2013. Not only were these crabcakes small compared to toher crabcakes vendors online, they were the worst tasting I have ever hard. They were full of non-edible pieces of the crab. Stay away from their crabcakes and order from someone else. read more

We ordered 2 dozen Jumbo crabs on 9/20/16 delivered on 9/23/16, Not one Jumbo in the box,8of them were not large even, over half of them were light no meat in them. $240.00 I could have bought 12 pounds of lump crabmeat, what a rip off these people are read more

I ordered Alaska king crab legs online based on Linton's website and its photos of the crab legs. I had them sent to my son to congratulate him on his college 4.0 GPA in his first semester.The order made it on time, and my son said they were packed well and very very delicious. His father-in-law, who is a seafood buff, loved the legs also and said he hopes Jord keeps getting 4.0s! So do I! I am a return on-line customer who is very happy with their service and quality of produce. They ship fresh oysters to our son every year for his birthday and he's had no complaints at all. I can't speak to the quality of their seafood because I never received my order. I spent several hundred dollars ordering hard shell crabs for a Labor Day party and when I didn't receive my shipping confirmation, I called. They found my order in the system but not what happened to it or if it was ever shipped out. They said they'd figure out what was going on and call me back. They didn't call me back. I called an hour later and was put on hold for 30 minutes. Gave up, called back, and was put on hold for another 30 minutes. Gave up again, called back again, and guess what ... was put on hold for another 30 minutes. When I called back a fourth time I was told that my name and number would be walked over to the internet department and I would receive a call in 15 minutes. I never received a call and I never received any of the crabs I ordered. So now I'm working on getting my money back. An absolute run around. If this place hadn't been recommended by my local seafood shop I would have thought it was some sort of internet scam. read more

Very sorry to say our experience with Linton's Seafood has been unsatisfactory. Our order did not ship on the date communicated and arrived five days after shipping. Winter weather was blamed but it doesn't make sense as we're in the same area and the package, once finally shipped, arrived in our town (traveled 90% of the way) within one day then sat for the next four days. One can only assume UPS held delivery pending payment from Linton's. Our communication with Linton's was initially encouraging and a full refund or replacement shipment was offered. Unfortunately, Linton's has not followed through on their promise. The softcrabs we ordered arrived warm and spoiled and were unfit for consumption. Short of seeking remedy via PayPal it seems we may have been swindled. So much for buying local and from family businesses. Linton's does this segment of the business world, and trusting customers, a disservice. read more
