[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The employees are so friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is so relaxing, especially when the weather is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is only outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had their tacos and tres leches - amazing! I was in the area for my birthday and we stopped her for lunch. I ordered the carne asada quesadilla that comes with rice and beans. The portions were big and super filling. They offer different flavors of jarritos. The staff were super friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the dining area is located outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoy Mexican cuisine and this place was perfect! I would definitely stop by the next time I come to the area!

Been coming to chincoteague for years and this is a new favorite spot for us! Really authentic Mexican food, I am sad we haven't come sooner. This is your real deal Mexican food, not the trendy overpriced tacos that are actually just sub par. I ordered a barbacoa and carnitas burrito and it was larger than my head and filled with rice, beans, cheese, and fresh guac. So massive I couldn't finish it (but was impressed with how far I made it). The tacos all looked really good too, especially the shrimp. I can't wait to come back next time we are here; this was definitely one of our favorite meals of the trip!!

Came by here after a day at the beach and got me some tacos! Was not disappointed. I couldn't convince my family to get tacos (they grabbed food from Island Dawg next door, but both areas allow you to bring food from one and each at the other's tables, just make sure you clean up and return trays to the right place), so I had to be strategic. I got three different types so I could get a feel for all the flavors. The folks in the stand speak both English and Spanish, and they took my order in Spanish. They got the food out to me pretty quickly. I got the Barbacoa, the Carnitas, and the Cajun Shrimp. I really can't pick a favorite; they were all so good. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, plump and tender. The barbacoa and carnitas were solid and I don't think they could be any better. There are some vegetarian options, so there's something for everyone! Next time I'm back, I look forward to trying more of the menu!

3.5/5 stars Good tacos for the area but fairly standard in general. The salsas were lackluster and the shrimp taco wasn't great. Although the asada taco was great texture and flavor. Overall I wasn't wowed for a $5 taco.

We stopped here for 1 taco each as an appetizer before dinner. We were trying to go to as many restaurants as possible in our not long enough weekend in Chincoteague. This is a food truck. This is not a restaurant. There are no bathrooms - there usually isn't with food trucks. This is a great stop for a casual meal after a day of exploring. You order at the window and pick up on the side window. Picnic tables to sit at. DO NOT FEED THE SEAGULLS! I got the Cajun Shrimp Taco which was awesome and great presentation. My friend got the Asada (steak) Taco. We pretty much inhaled. Corn tortillas did not fall apart and there was plenty of filling including avocado, corn, salsa and cheese. They have a grab and go for Mexican sodas and waters. No alcohol - a beer would have been perfect though. Clean up when you are done. I would go back next time I am in Chincoteague.

We took out dinner from there in the 2nd week of November in 2023. The food was plentiful, cheap, and tasty. Also, they had a good vegetarian option that was important for our party. We would happily go back there to eat.

Wow, what a treat this food truck was! We were a group of five so several different things were ordered. Tacos, burritos, sopas and tostados. We wanted to try it all. Oh, and an order of rice and an order of beans. Tacos were barbacoa, carne asada and pollo. All with pico de gallo and queso fresco. The barbacoa were the best! The meat was so tender and flavorful! (We ordered the tacos with flour tortillas). Our friends totally enjoyed their burritos and I even got a taste of the sopas with barbacoa and it was so good! If you get two tacos, that will probably be enough. The two of us got two tacos each and the orders of rice and beans. We tasted the rice and beans and they were 'ok' but not great enough to order again.

Best tacos on the island. We ordered chicken and steak. It automatically comes with onions and cilantro or pico. I got cheese... corn tortillas are awesome. They make everything fresh so it takes a bit but it is worth the wait. But the service is fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a good truck so it's outside seating on picnic tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Tonight, I had the Carnitas Burrito. Absolute perfection. There is nothing bad I can say about it. The sauce, perfect. The fillings? Perfect. Absolute, all around, great job. (Please ignore the fact that my burrito is absolutely tore up. It's just that good.)

However, despite their impressive vegetarian selections, I was told upon arriving well before closing that they did not have any rice, salad, congee, or vegetarian pho. What's left, one might ask? The answer was vermicelli noodles with chargrilled tofu. These came with some pickled carrots and daikon. The tofu grilled up fantastically and had a delicious marinade. I'm told they get a fair number of vegan customers. There's not a lot else around. The quality was there, but I'd suggest coming early as keeping food in stock seems to be a challenge. I ordered a tea with a weird artificial grape flavor but also some nice fresh grapes and boba. The place runs as 100% takeout at the moment. This is not a huge drawback as one normally does not come to remote beach islands to sit inside, and if the weather is bad you probably have a hotel. I would like to come back and see if I can find reason to given them a higher rating.

They have a few bicycles, but some are in rough shape. The breakfast was light but delicious. There is plenty of free public parking behind the inn. So park behind them and walk through the back to the front door. The staff is friendly and did a good job cleaning the room and serving. I did not try dinner, but it was packed; I don't know if that indicates quality. But all the tables were full. For the price compared to the other hotels, it's a good choice for a couple. I'm sure you could have kids, but there is nothing on the grounds to keep them entertained. And because of that, if you stay there, you don't get the noise from screaming kids or the frat boys getting wasted next door. It's an excellent option for an overnight stay.

Review of pre-fixe 5 course dinner…read more A bygone era is alive and well here. I appreciated the service that emphasized decorum and gentleness. The courses were so different; a lot of thought has gone into the menu and prep. The crab bisque was delicious and appropriately sized. I loved the subtle touch of sherry. A smart way to begin the evening. I found the amuse bouche plate that consisted of a single scallop, French onion scone with strawberry preserves, Gruyere cheese, and other foods, to be a bit confusing. The salad plate was top notch, enjoyable. Red snapper, the main course, was right in there. A lovely fillet, placed on a bed of delicate mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable medley, was excellent. The chocolate fig cake dessert looked superb but some of the other chocolate components weren't complementary. The whole dining experience was very relaxing.

Decided to go there for breakfast on our last day. Arrived at 9 AM on Sunday, and the parking lot was already full. We got lucky and were able to be seated (two of us) right away. I will say the staff does a great job clearing and resetting tables and getting new diners in, all without the aid of electronic devices. The decor is rather Spartan - grey concrete block walls, dark brown furniture, very little natural light. There are a few booths and tables in front of the register and then a larger dining area to the right of the entrance. Tables, walls, utensils, etc. were clean. Our server came by shortly after we were seated and took our beverage orders. Two regular coffees and a glass of water. The coffee was nothing special, but it was hot and tasted fresh. I ordered two eggs over easy, bacon, and rye toast. My partner ordered eggs scrambled and home fries. Despite how busy the place was, breakfast arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Eggs were done right, the portion of bacon was generous, and the home fries were good. Everything arrived hot, so it hadn't sat on the line too long. As we ate, we were asked if we wanted more coffee several times by several different servers. We've been to places where our cups are never refilled, so we appreciated the ask. Total for breakfast was around $25. This seemed reasonable in today's economy. This isn't a place for ambiance or decor, but if you are looking for basic sustenance done well, it is worth stopping.

It came with 6 pieces of shrimp, way too many fries (they were only mediocre), 2 delicious hush puppies (best I've ever had), and 1 pickle (nice crunch). The coleslaw side was also good and had apples. Overall though I was disappointed that $17 got me a pretty unsatisfying dish. Fish and chips (friend flounder) - 3* average but nothing to write home about. Once again a lot of fries (obviously, it's a fish and chips meal) but they just weren't that good.
