SCAMMER ALERT!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!…read more UPDATE!! SCAMMERS AND THREATS!!! After I posted this Andy called and threatened me. He told me I swore at his customer service person. I did not. He also told me he was going to turn me in to the housing commission. He also lied and said it was against the law to work on the furnace when the heat exchanger is how it was. My 2nd opinion confirmed that was also a lie and that he'd just need to turn off the gas to the furnace to inspect it. They just keep digging themselves deeper and deeper. Today Russ tried to scam me into a new furnace. He claimed that he couldn't do any further evaluation on the furnace because the secondary heat exchanger was too dangerous and that most people just replace the whole furnace at that point. My antenna went up when he didn't make sense about why he couldn't evaluate the furnace further because of the heat exchanger needing replacing even though it was still functional. He didn't have any pricing on the heat exchanger or a new furnace and he never followed up with the pricing on either of them. I had a 2nd opinion and it was just the filter had been sucked into the fan. An easy, low cost fix. My 2nd opinion confirmed they were trying to scam me and that nothing else was wrong with the furnace or the secondary heat exchanger.

We really were impressed with Dennis! The quote was less than HALF of the "other guy"! The crew arrived on time, blew in enough insulation to give us an R-60 rating, and cleaned up after themselves. Untrustworthy. Had a repair done by Steven Jacobs and he had to come out a second time 3 weeks…read morelater. He stated would not charge me for the second call. Asked to get a quote on an new Air conditioner and Curt Sales came out and also verified he would not charge me for the second call. Gave me a quote on an Armstrong not a name unit and never gave me a quote for a Lennox as requested. Received a bill 2 weeks later for the second service call and called and Curt Sales stated would take care of it. In October received another invoice with a past due notice and I contacted Steven Jacobs and he stated he would take care of it and talk to Curt. Left stern message (without using profanity) stating if I had my credit damaged I would take him to court. He called up and it was obvious was not going to help. Untrustworthy and not worth allowing in my residence again.

He said one of our lights was a fire hazard, which frankly scared us, then said his guys could fix it (for a price!). Then he said the spray-on foam insulation in the basement would be practically free because we would get $850 in rebates from our gas and electric company. We did the smart thing and got another quote. THAT guy said most of those things didn't need to be done, our light was NOT a fire hazard and was completely up to code, and that the rebates from the utility companies would be $175. His quote was about a thousand less than VerWys's. When we called the VerWys guy again to see what he'd say, he backpedalled so hard he was going lightyears in reverse! Knocked off 2 grand from the initial quote, but we'd heard enough. Not gonna do business with a guy who tries to take us for a ride by pulling numbers out of his @$$.
