I was fortunate enough to work with Chris during the planning phase, and there were a lot of emails and questions I had which he answered with patience and clarity. He really worked with us on pricing, and we found Mint to be the best option for us for more reasons than one. When we finally met Chris on our wedding day, he was really calm and easygoing and he worked unobtrusively alongside our photographer. He was there to capture all the special and important moments and paid great attention to detail. Most of the time, I didn't even realize he was there so it surprised me when we got our draft videos back within a few short weeks after our event, and saw how close he got during all the important and critical moments of the day. Overall, we are truly pleased with our experience with Mint and we think Chris is very professional and approachable, which are two of the best traits to find in a wedding cinematographer. We were able to edit our draft, working videos, and Chris really came through and delivered what we asked of him. There were some things I had wanted or wished were different, but we worked with the material we had and it turned out wonderfully. I rarely write negative reviews, but after this experience, I feel a responsibility to warn other…read morecouples. MPW was, without question, the most disappointing vendor we worked with for our wedding. Their work reflects complacency and a lack of professionalism that is difficult to comprehend given their reputation. I strongly advise against hiring them for your wedding. On the morning of our wedding, the team rushed every moment, creating unnecessary stress. During the reception, the issues escalated significantly. We paid a substantial amount for a same-day edit, which they repeatedly promised would be ready "in five minutes." This delay continued for over 90 minutes. As a result, the DJ stopped the music multiple times in anticipation of the video entrance, and approximately 90-95% of our 400 guests believed the reception had ended and began leaving. This completely disrupted and ultimately ruined our reception. Several months later, we received the final edited video, which was expected timing-wise. However, the quality was shocking. The video showed severe technical and artistic failures: the camera focused on a guest's armpit during the ceremony, excessive lens flares blocked the screen during our first dance, and extended shots included the photographer's bald spot instead of the couple. Additionally, important screen presentations prepared by my wife's family were entirely missed. When we contacted MPW to express that the video was unacceptable, a team member accidentally replied to our email in Filipino rather than internally. After translating the message, it stated that it was "the worst video he has ever seen" and that "the guy they hired was terrible." This confirmed our concerns about the quality of the work and internal oversight. We requested corrections, after which MPW sent a revised edit. Unfortunately, they only changed the presentation slides (after we provided the files again) and added excessive fade-to-black transitions. It was clear the video had not been fully reviewed. In multiple scenes, their crew can be seen sitting in the background or not paying attention to framing, with people walking through shots--further demonstrating a lack of care and professionalism. I then sent a detailed email with timestamps outlining every issue. Despite this still being the first proper revision, we were repeatedly reminded of their policy that additional edits cost extra. Each revision fixed one issue while introducing another, creating the impression that the process was intentionally prolonged to justify charging for additional edits. After 14 months of ongoing communication, we finally received the completed video. However, the raw footage--part of our agreement--was not included. We had to follow up again before it was finally delivered. At this point, we will need to hire another editor simply to produce a watchable and respectful wedding film. This experience included a rushed wedding morning, unacceptable filming angles, missed key moments, a severely delayed same-day edit that disrupted our reception, and over a year of exhausting back-and-forth. I do not enjoy writing reviews like this, and I am generally very understanding of human error. However, the level of negligence and lack of accountability we experienced was unacceptable. We reached out to schedule a call to discuss our video feedback and ask about all missing items from our contract, but haven't heard back from them on availability and still haven't received an ETA on when we will have a completed wedding gallery. It's sad to see how we've waited close to a year for our completed wedding footage and are not confident that it'll be complete by our 1st year wedding anniversary. We overpaid, considering we are still missing footage that was billed to us, and wouldn't wish this upon another couple as Alchemedia is horrible with communication especially post wedding.

If they're taking such care with pictures of your dress and shoes, then you know you're getting some quality stuff from this team. Kevin and Ed were fun and kept me peppy/reassured even though i kept glaring at the snow. My guess is that they also scouted the building because they found a balcony for us to take photos and walked me out so i would slip (in solidarity, they even told me they'd fall with me if it came to it). I loved that thoroughness and thought they put into the location. They even helped me carry stuff to the uber! While some of the crew was with me, they sent a few others to the venue where the groom + groomsmen were setting up and getting ready. They had a number of different angles, shots and locations they wanted to try, many of them were not exactly easy or comfortable for them to do (i.e. being out in the snow and cold), but they wanted to help me get the best shot. FYI, i think they also ruined their drone for me. Throughout the night, i was speaking and walking around to see friends, and out of the corner of my eye, i could see the team taking photos of everything. I literally think they didn't take any breaks. Am i happy with everything? Absolutely. I've been to a lot of weddings, and many times my friends complain about whom they hire. The day of our wedding, we were very impressed with our photographers. They arrived early, stayed…read morelate, worked hard, and were very congenial. Our guests appreciated their presence. When we got our photos a month and a half later, we were somewhat disappointed. There didn't seem to be a lot of great photos. Lots were dark; many were out of focus or mis-focused, and lots of key moments seemed to be captured at awkward angles--perhaps too much effort was placed on being inconspicuous. We didn't really get the sense that a lot of time was spent post-processing them, either. (We realized later that most of our favorite photos from their portfolio were on very bright days in all-white houses and professionally-lit reception halls. We wrongly assumed the beauty was captured via their execution.) I wouldn't say they were "bad," just underwhelming relative to even our tempered expectations. The most disappointing part came at the end. We tried hard to express our disappointment diplomatically. We asked the lead photographer to point out some of the photos he put extra work into so we could appreciate them or compare them to the raw photos, and we asked for some of the photos they had removed (due to focus issues, etc.) so we could maybe salvage parts of them ourselves if they captured a moment we wanted but missed. His responses were very defensive and unproductive. He said he spent lots of time on them, he insisted we were sent great photos, and that we don't understand working with a videographer and how that limited the angles they could get. We attempted to deescalate by clarifying that we were just trying to get the most out of the day without imposing more time on him, not to criticize or complain, but it was fruitless. He said he selected the best photos and only removed bad photos, then later contradicted that he had sent us all the photos when we requested the "bad" ones. In the end, he returned our tip (which we didn't want or ask him to do), and stopped responding to us without providing any of the material we requested. I get that asking to "show your work" can be insulting to a professional, but his response when we were just trying to make the most of the situation was anything but professional. I'm sure there are plenty of Bride- and Groom-zillas who will be much less understanding than we, and while the photos were a little disappointing, the final taste in our mouths gives me more reason to advise caution.
