We trust only PicturePerfectNY with our family photos year over year for the past four years. We started with a newborn session for our son nearly four years ago that turned out phenomenally (see my prior review from 6/13/2019). Since then, we have been so impressed and continue to be so impressed by the beautiful quality of the photos and how awesome the team is at capturing our son's first birthday cake smash (June 2020), every annual family holiday photo (four so far since 2019!), our extended family outdoor photo session with the grandparents June 2022, and of course, more recently with our baby daughter's newborn photos early Jan 2023 which took it to a whole new level with the team setting up the adorable "spa" props setup with laptop, Starbucks cup, backdrop and being able to get our chihuahua to behave and capture both of them with utmost patience! Look no further and book! Angela and Joseph are amazing at what they do. I spent weeks trying to find a newborn photographer until I stumbled on Picture Perfect NY. Not only do their photos speak for themselves, but they made us feel super comfortable during the whole shoot. Allowing us to relax after that rough first week. We were initially worried that our newborn would be fussy during the shoot but Angela put our worries at ease immediately. She is the baby whisperer and was so patient with our little one . We were blown away by the photos. The pictures came out so beautiful that we decided to do the watch me grow package where they take photos at 3,6, 9 months and one year. Hmmm, it's a bit difficult to review this place. The place felt cramped in the studio basement, and the photographer used sexual references to make us laugh for the pictures. He was overly sweating through his shirt and was acting like a control freak to his partner wife. I think he was trying too hard for laughs and that's why I won't go back. In reply to Joseph: You sound like a hypocrite. You cancel my session because I said my kids are in danger but you go on google and air out my personal business. Nothing you write can justify that. So stop it! In addition, no one wrote a false review. I clearly stated how I felt and if you were to take me to court, the judge would laugh and throw it out. I didn't hurt your business in any way. However, you have caused me nothing but distress. Your business is unprofessional and this is me describing your behavior in the politest way. This review is not for the pictures, as I didn't get to have my child's photo taken here. This review for the customer service I received. At first, the owners seemed like very nice accommodating people. I asked them if I could pay for my child's pictures in advance and they obliged. I was looking forward to the pictures as any parent who is willing to spend $592. However, I had ran into an unfortunate circumstance and asked if I could reschedule. This is where things got bad. At first either Angela or Joseph seemed sympathetic in email but then told me they couldn't reschedule because the other party had paid. I told them that actually, I had paid. I corrected them with a smiley face to ensure I wasn't trying to be rude. Then out of nowhere they refunded my money. I was upset because even though I assured them I paid for the pictures, they processed a refund anyways. I didn't feel like it was great customer service. So I originally went on google and wrote how upset I was. I said that "it is a shame that they couldn't work with me instead they refunded me in which now I have to find someone last minute to do my daughters pictures. I'm sure their pictures are amazing but their customer service isn't great." Now, there's nothing hurtful in this review. However, Picture Perfect NY emailed me a nasty email. Threatened me to take down my google review or they would pursue action. When I refused, they responded to my google review with sensitive information I had confided in them. They claimed they couldn't work with me but this was ONLY AFTER my initial review. If this was discussed before hand in email, I would have definitely understood. I would have even left 5 stars...even if they chose not to work with me. That shows me that they genuinely care for my safety. But... this is not the case. They shared information online which could put myself and my kids in danger if the other party chose to read through the reviews. I could be identified by the sensitive information that they chose to share. I felt this was malicious and unnecessary of them to do. Especially only to try to justify a one star review. I feel embarrassed that they did that and such emotional stress. Overall, I feel distrust in this business and I can not recommend them to my family nor friends. The upside is, I finally got my refund and I can move on from this. read more

Picture Perfect is a photography studio run by Angela and Joseph (husband and wife) based in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. We had such an amazing experience working with them. As a first time mom, I started researching photographers for my daughter's newborn shoot several months in advance of my due date. I was overwhelmed by the amount of photographers that does newborn shoots in NYC, especially since everyone's price range varied so drastically. I stumbled across Picture Perfect thru Yelp and saw many positive reviews. And it worked out that they were based in our neighborhood just 10 mins away from our house. I decided to reach out via email to get more information and Angela was extremely responsive and patient in answering the many questions I had. Everything from booking the session through to the shoot itself was very seamless. As for the shoot itself, we decided to go with the royal baby package and was so glad we did. The session itself ended up to be approx. 5 hrs but Angela and Joseph took care of everything. Their studio is just one large room with the front dedicated to photos and then another section with sofa/lounge chairs for the parents to sit in. This made us very at ease knowing that our baby was in the same room (even though we couldnt see her since the lighting equipment was large enough to block our view). And plus, it's actually better you don't get to witness the session itself so that you can be pleasantly surprised with the end result of the pictures. There are numerous backdrops, outfits and accessories of various colors for you to choose from. If you have a certain vision, Angela will work with you to come up with the perfect end product. The pictures came out so beautiful and we ended up booking our daughter's cake smash session with Picture Perfect. This studio really is a hidden neighborhood gem in Brooklyn. If you live in the neighborhood and are looking for a photographer for newborn shoot, cake smash sessions or just family portraits, look no further! I was drawn to this company by their offering and their testimonies of several photo sessions on their website. My friend gave me their number a couple of days before my daughter's 1st birthday party. My regular photographer was busy and I was freaking out that I wouldn't have a photog on the day of the party. Thankfully they were available, and I scheduled a birthday party session, and a studio shoot. Joe arrived at the restaurant before we did and was ready to go. Even though my daughter was sleepy and cranky, he was able to capture some great shots. After the party we came in for a studio session. We emailed beforehand to ask about my preferences in terms of color, and to get pictures of my daughter's outfits. The day of the shoot, the cake that was ordered was perfect purple and grey, and the backgrounds chosen went very well with the outfits. I brought my 3 yo here for some pics and thought they did a decent job. They seem to cater more to pregnant women and newborns. I was expecting to be shown some creative backgrounds and themes beforehand and go from there but eventually had to go along with the backgrounds chosen by the photographers based upon my child's outfit. Not a big deal but I would've liked to see what backgrounds they had so that I could dress my child to match the background that I liked. Other than that, no complaints, the photographer couple were very pleasant and got along great with my child. We are first time parents to twins, and a newborn session was our first major outing out of the house. (I had a c-section so I was still recovering). They made everything so easy. They are parents, so they knew how to take care of our little ones, and let us get a little bit of relaxation while they took the pictures. They sent the pictures to us, very quickly, and each picture was outstanding.
