When you order your coffee online and wait an hour, something is wrong. Do they give you a pickup time? Yes...did we then wait another 30 minutes inside the shop? Also yes. Did they offer an explanation? Apparently, the pickup time is ever changing as the orders backup. You need to shutoff online ordering if you cannot handle the volume. I watched groups of people walk in and walk out. The restaurant had seating available but no one was paying attention to those coming inside and kept ignoring us. We were not the only ones who waited over an hour for 2 lattes. Maybe this was a one off? But, do better. If they had said, listen we are really backed up and it's going to be awhile, we would have just left, but if they keep saying, just a few minutes and it's then another 30? Just be honest. We would have just left (after getting a refund). They made a tough situation worse. Ugh. Killington apparently needs a couple more coffee spots. read more

Very cool space and ample parking. We visited the 2 days we were there. Once for the maple latte and just a dark roast coffee the next day. Small maple latte $3.95 (pay extra for a medium), and it was fantastic. Not sure why the person tried to make a design in the foam, but it failed miserably :) No matter. Loved every sip with an outstanding maple flavor. Temperature was perfect to enjoy right away. The dark roast coffee was excellent too. Not bitter, no burnt flavor, just a strong cup of joe and the woman behind the counter was kind enough to add a splash of maple syrup to my cup. Kudos to Liquid Art. Great cocktails and service, cool place where you can buy some reasonably priced art (like $10-20 at the low end and not to a crazy level on the other end) and have nice food. Awesome coffee shop driving distance from Killington resort! I spent a snowy SPRING day here grading papers and enjoying a breakfast of Almond Chai Latte and L.A. eggwich. Any place that uses almond milk gets a plus in my book. The sandwich was crisp, eggs cooked fresh, and the cheese and sweet potato were a great combination. Ambiance of the coffee house is restaurant, bar, and gallery with black leather couches, more seating upstairs, and tables along the bar. It's great to relax in if winter sports aren't your thing or if you need a chill place to relax after spending a day at the mountain. Service was good and quick. Remember to leave your ski/snowboarding boots in the car! No free wifi, but maybe it was available for a cost? I didn't ask. Totally would return when I'm back in the area! read more

Liquid Art is a special place, small but mighty. We bookended our trip with meals here, though I will speak predominately to dinner (our coffee and breakfast was to go) in this review. It's a cafe first and foremost, clearly attempting to play dress-up in the evenings to pose as a dinner attraction. It's a believable costume, as it turns out. While less frequented in the evenings, Liquid Art is still a formidable player and worth consideration among the other nighttime restaurants in town. Come for the cocktails, stay for some fresh and healthy bites. The staff are lovely and you will want to befriend them. We first came to Liquid Art at around 8pm on a very icy night. While we were one of only two parties there at the time (and the last customers to leave, making me feel endlessly guilty that we seemed to be keeping requiring all staff's attendance until close on such an icky night), the vibe was still welcoming in charming -- in part because we had exceptional service the whole night, in part because of delightful collection of Killington/Vermont-themed art decorating the entire space. Because the space was so empty, we did a kinda cute, kinda pretentious thing, which was to survey all of the art after receiving our first round of drinks, as one would do at a gallery. I don't particularly like galleries but do I enjoy restaurants and at least appreciate art, so this was quite enjoyable here. The space itself is a hybrid: coffee bar to your right (flanked by the kitchen) and a bar bar to the right, both coexisting regardless of what time of day it is. Couldn't tell you why, but this adds extra charm. With a tiny kitchen and a relatively large bar, you'll quickly understand why the name emphasizes beverages. Though known as a breakfast spot, Liquid Art takes its liquor as seriously as it does coffee. We each ordered two cocktails and split a third, so we got a nice sampling of the dizzying drink list here. This is easily the best spot in town to get a mixed drink. There's a lot of variety and no spirits are left behind. My one small criticism is that every drink we ordered was borderline saccharine. Now, I love sugar as much as the next person, but loading up on sweet drinks when you're planning on skiing first thing in the morning might not be the best idea. I didn't really end up hungover, but I could definitely feel the accumulation of syrups and liquers getting to me. Even with this warning, I still urge you to enjoy a drink or two -- especially if you're into fruity martinis and/or tropical rum drinks. Between the two of us, we ordered: -Spiced Rum Cider (warm) -Blood Orange Pisco Sour -Lychee Tini -Chipotle Pineapple Mojito -Vermonthattan My favorites were the Lychee Tini and the Vermonthattan, though the latter was a bit too sweet for a Manhattan (that said, it's made with maple-infused bourbon, so I shouldn't be too surprised). Lychee martinis are so very dangerous because lychee is so plainly delicious and the vodka is nearly undetectable. If you're a fan of warm drinks, I highly recommend the Rum Cider -- not typically my cup of tea (pun intended) but it's a pretty perfect drink for a frigid winter night. The Pisco sour is not made with egg white here, so it might not be what you expect. That said, it's still refreshing and tasty. And finally, the Mojito was a little too heavy and on the pineapple and too late on the chipotle. But a good concept and an easy fix. Food-wise, the dinner menu is limited but solid. We got a nice sampling of plates and while we had a good amount of leftovers, we tried everything and did some good damage. Nothing is particularly creative and it's all pretty simple, but everything is high-quality and nourishing. For all of the sugar in the drinks here, much of the food is very healthy. Eats, below: Hummus & Vegetable Plate (Sundried Tomato Hummus, Toasted Pita, Carrots, Celery, Broccoli & Red Peppers): A Veggies are veggies but this hummus was a star. The sundried tomatoes made it beyond delicious and in retrospect I should have requested more items to dip Artisan Cheese Plate w/ Charcuterie: A- Nothing spectacular, nothing bad, all very solid cheeses in typical Vermont style. Coffee-Rubbed Flat Iron Steak w/ shiitake mushrooms and caramelized onions: A- Wasn't wowed but still tasty and satisfying. Very straightforward, didn't taste the coffee too much which was the main draw for me. Mushrooms and onions are always a safe option with steak. Salmon w/ Mango Chutney: A Enjoyed this one a bunch, straightforward as well but the mango helped the flavor profile along some. Nice to have something bright and citrusy to contrast the rest of our dishes. Served with "seasonal sides", which in this case were zucchini and squash. On our way out of town, we stopped here one more time to get coffee and some goodies to bring home. The bf got a butterfinger latte (highly recommends it) and I bought some coffee beans, which I'm in the process of working my through as we speak! read more

This place is heaven. Their variety of lattes are to die for. I am not a big coffee person but loved them anyway. So tasty and fresh. Food is awesome as well. We had two meals in our two day stay in Killington for the leaf peeping. Absolutely love the grilled chicken sandwich, salad that came along was so flavorful with fresh water melon on side. This place is THE BEST. Recently I visited Killington and had to work remotely for a few hours. I Googled the closest coffee shop and it gave me the coffee shop of my dreams. I was able to work in thier loft which was super cozy and comfortable. Wifi was perfectly strong and the music was on point. In fact, I took a few breaks from work to shimmy a little. Now let's talk about their food. I ate both breakfast and lunch here and loved both meals. It was fresh, delicious food that waa made well and with love. What a horrific experience me and my family had here. We stopped on our way up to Burlington for a quick coffee and pastry from their takeout window. Place was not packed, but it took them almost 45 minutes to make 4 iced coffees. Two parties had full meals while we waited for for measly coffees. We stopped in quickly this afternoon for a pick me up drink that contained expresso but was also cold. Upon entering the place, you can see it's much different from your standard Starbucks which honestly is a good thing. The A-Framed Eatery has amble seating both on the first floor, a second floor for those that want to get away and even a nice light patio for those wanted to enjoy the fresh mountain air. The place was very nicely decorated with Killington artwork and location artisans piece of which they had many things for sale. The purchase for our visit was just for coffee and a fruit smoothy and both were very good. While we didn't have or honestly even look at their food menu there were several people eating there and looking at their plates the food looked delicious. The staff was super friendly and the choice for coffee drinks and specialty drinks were a plenty and I'm sure during Ski season this place would be packed. read more

Delicious, affordable, healthy food. We were in town for the weekend to ski, and we saw Liquid Art when driving to the slopes. We stopped in for a quick breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the interior vibe, the ingredients (sweet potato hash, sweet potato crust on the quiche) and the coffee. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next morning. They serve breakfast cocktails as well, which we didn't partake in, but they looked good. It's apparently some sort of national coffee day today, through that was every day. So yeah, I stopped in Monday morning right at 9 AM. I chose the five star option because the customer service at the window was very friendly and I assumed they had a great smile underneath their masks. My order was made quickly as time passed fast while chatting with the staff. This is now my second time visiting this location and I certainly recommend making it a stop next time you are in the area. I am between four and five stars on this one. I came here on my way home after a fine weekend of skiing at Killington. It's very close to the mountain. I got a salad, and it was fresh and delicious. It really hit the spot. On top of that I got a coffee, and it was excellent. The place is well decorated and we sat by the fireplace. The windows are large and let lots of light in. The tables were clean and spacious. Also, they display a lot of art that is for sale, and while waiting for the bathroom, I noticed a lot of prints in a pile. I actually found one I liked, and took a bit of VT home with me that day. read more

I seriously don't know why it took me so long to come here, I've been coming to Vermont for 8 years now and have driven past here countless numbers of times. About a 5 minute ride from the mountain awaits an excellent cup of coffee/ or a stiff drink! Liquid Art Coffeehouse is the coolest combination of a coffee/cocktail bar I have yet to visit. As soon as you walk in you see a bar stocked with top shelf liquor and to the side is the coffee area with some sweet treats that can be purchased. The vanilla pear muffin caught my eye so I grabbed two for me and a friend. We also decided on some coffees... I got a regular coffee with a shot of french vanilla and my friend got a delicious coconut coffee with two shots of espresso to get our day started rite. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and helpful when it came to picking our coffees. After we ordered we noticed this beautiful salt water fish tank to the right of the counter. Clown fish and other exotic salt water fish swimming with live coral, a very relaxing scene to watch as you sip your coffee. They also have plenty of art work that can be purchased. Over all this is a great place to come hangout with a cup of coffee or a cocktail and relax. I am definitely going to come back next weekend to see what type of food they have to offer! oh and P.S.- That vanilla bean pear muffin was AMAZING! read more

This place is so unassuming from the outside. We came here upon a recommendation from a local we met in town (our uber driver actually), and when we arrived to the building, I was immediately thinking that we should turn around and go anywhere else. It kinda looks like a strange, brightly colored house and I wrongly assumed that some Vermont hippies would be cooking us some trendy, flavorless, hipster fare. However, my husband and friends vetoed my request to leave (thank God!). Once inside, the restaurant is sooo charming!! There is colorful artwork all over and there was a fish tank next to our table. Our waitress was adorable and the food was interesting and delicious. I ordered the cauliflower soup to share for an appetizer and I ordered a salad for my main entree. (Oh, and of course, a cocktail). I was blown away with my meal, as were my friends. As far as the bill went, it was pretty pricey. To be fair though, most places in Killington are overpriced, so it was on par with other restaurants in the area. My friend decided not to join us for skiing the next day, and she ended up staying at the restaurant all day and worked/drank coffee. We loved this place and would definitely return! read more
