Most unfriendly, frankly scary experience I've had in Monument. I went over to buy some beer and ended up sitting in the parking lot for a minute to talk to my mother in law about a family matter. They close at 9 PM. At 845, in the rear view mirror, I saw a gentleman in the parking lot looking at my license plate. Mind you, there are no signs stating that the parking is for customers only or that it's illegal to park there after hours. The store was open with the lights on. I didn't realize the odd person was working for the store and it kind of scared me. He walked towards me and then walked back towards the store. When he walked toward me the second time, I locked my doors. He heard me lock my doors and then walked back into the store behind the counter. At this point I realized he worked there. He was closing the store down and I was about to end my call and go elsewhere to buy a beer. He then came back out of the store and banged on my window. At this point it was 855, before closing. Once again nothing marked the parking lot as being for customers only. He told me I needed to " get the fuck out of here." He was acting drunk. He went back into the store and pointedly started calling the police on me. I left the parking lot; but I'm totally confused and disgusted by his demeanor. I had vacated the parking lot by 859 and had only been there since 830. He was clearly on something as his behavior was erratic and threatening. I would not advise shopping here. read more

Small shelf with high w d wines but you pay a premium. Decent selection of whiskeys. Not a large variety of scotch or high e d liquors. Small case discount. While their wine and beer selection is pretty extensive I avoid this place at all costs because the staff is so incredibly rude. And it's not just one of their employees - it's every single employee I've ever 'bothered' by asking a simple question. I'm convinced when hiring new people, they disregard anyone with common courtesy or manners or any customer service whatsoever. I know this is such a simple and seemingly minuscule thing but it's so easy to be just be a decent employee/human - greet customers when they walk in, plaster a fake smile on your face instead of a look of disgust when customers ask simple questions. I don't want to contribute to paying these peoples' paychecks - there's plenty of other liquor stores in town. read more

Love this place. I might be guilty of love because of the close location to myself and the fact that they carry my obsession. Colorado Cellars fruit wines are here and those are my absolute weakness. The guys who work there are all super nice - a little strange since they don't drink, but they work at a liquor store - but they're still helpful and friendly, so it's not a huge deal when they can't make suggestions. They started a stamp card - for every time you shop there, you get a stamp. After 6 stamps, you get 10% off your next purchase. Though, if you're a wine-o, you don't need to worry about working up a stamp card because they give you 10% off the purchase of any variety of 6 bottles of wine. Mix & match to your hearts content. So, I really can't find any reason to complain....until they run out of what I love. read more

Refused to sell to us because I brought my younger sister in the store. I presented my valid ID. She wasn't holding any of the alcohol. She wasn't buying. She was there so she wouldn't be left outside in the freezing temps or alone in a running car by herself at night. I worked in a liquor store, I know the legislation. We were not in violation. This is frustratingly retarded, especially since the only response was, "Sorry, store policy" and "you look young anyways". I don't give a single fuck how young either of us look, if I have a valid ID and am following Colorado legislation, I expect liquor stores to respect the laws as well. read more

Spend your money elsewhere, there are so many better liquor stores out there. Selection wasn't awful. But it was the staff and their treatment that ruined this place. Don't bring in anyone underage cause they just have to check everyone's IDs and won't sell to you if they are there. God forbid you grab the receipt before the cashier does, whenever they choose to print it out and grab it for you. They'll wait to print a copy if you want one as well. I am going to go ahead and not lace my review with profanity, but boy is it on the tip of my tongue. The fact that this store has a great selection in does NOT make up for the fact that the customer service and employees who work here are absolutely horrible. The rudeness here is exceptional. Really. I have never been offered assistance. Ever. I have always been bullied over my identification. These people act like their jobs make them miserable. By all means - F****** QUIT!!! I now drive to Denver or go to the half dozen other smaller, but NICER liquor stores in the area. Maybe I go here too much, but nevertheless this is an awesome liquor store. The selection of micro brews and wine is MASSIVE. You'll be able to find beer from most of Colorado's Craft Brewers. If there is something you'd like to see on their shelves or in their coolers you can request it! They have added my two favorite whiskys (Revel Stoke & Spicebox) to their inventory after my requests. Conveniently located off Jackson Creek, this is a great location to find your booze at very fair prices. read more

Worst I have ever been treated at a liquor store. They were "closing early" so the man at the register continued to harass us asking if we were ready. Then when we get to checkout, It was my friends 21st birthday and we were checking out and he refused to serve any of us because she had a vertical ID ON HER 21st BIRTHDAY even though the rest of us has horizontal ones he wouldn't let any of us buy anything. The good news is that this place has a great selection of alcohol, including wine and the Harder items. The downside is that various members of the staff have been very rude before. One man's wife who obviously looked well over 21 years old, and was ordered to produce an ID, but she did not have it with her and she brought this up but they became pushy, belligerent, and out right rude. I would rate this place higher if not for that, and the management should do something to try to find customer friendly staff and remove the repeat offenders who won't. read more

They seem to support Colorado microbreweries & winery's --- also local legal " moonshine" so that's righteous !mix& match 6packs & exotic tall singles.Close to the king soopers --- so you don't have to buy low alcohol grocery store beer ! Liquor Mart is very large, wine on the right, spirits in the middle, beer on the left and along the back wall. They have a lot of drinking material but their beer selection is what really shines. Odell's Loose Leaf isn't common around here but they carry it, and they stock some fantastic seasonal Oskar Blues and Avery beers that are out of this world. One or two hard-to-find liquor varieties can be located here like Leblon cachaca from Brazil for when you're in the mood for a caipirinha, but I notice that they don't stock as many local Colorado spirits as one or two of their competitors. On the wine end they offer a LOT but mostly the usual suspects, for instance their Bordeauxs are thin and I couldn't find a barbera anywhere at all. Still not bad and they know their market well. Prices are on par with Monument, meaning 5-7% over what you'd normally pay in Denver. read more

Really scummy looking cashiers that refused to sell to my 43 year old husband because I walked in with him and didn't bring my wallet with me and am not even drinking the crap h was buying. For crying out loud, I am 37! I have been in this store 3 times a month for the last 2 years! I usually have to ASK them to ID me. Tonight, these guys whom I have never even SEEN before were super rude. They could have been tactful. They just lost our business. read more

Selection is great, prices are decent BUT...I showed up this morning at a few minutes before they opened and wrote this review while waiting for someone to open the store. There are 4 cars including mine that are waiting to get in. It is 8 minutes after their posted opening and I have seen 6 cars come and go. I wonder how much revenue they've lost already. This is a Broncos Sunday no less. I hope the owner sees this and fixes the problem. It is now 10 minutes after and still no one. Wow. 10 minutes may not seen like much to most people but I'll bet it has cost them hundreds already. 7 cars left by the time I post this. read more

If I could write this review and give zero stars, I would. I went into the store to get a bottle of wine and some boxes because I was moving. I accidentally knocked over a wine display. The cashier immediately started yelling at me. I apologized and said that it was an accident. I also said that I would pay for the wine that I knocked over at cost. I went to my car to finish putting the boxes in it and to grab my purse. The cashier came out following me, and screaming at me, telling me how she was going to call the police as she was taking pictures of my license plate. I went back into the store with my purse. I couldn't really talk to her because she kept yelling at me about calling her manager and the police. As all that was going on, a bystander told me that I only broke one bottle of wine. The cashier yelled at him, and proceeded to tell him he needed to stay out of it. I was thrilled. I told her I would pay for it. I went to evaluate the scene and I actually broke two bottles of wine. They were only about six dollars a bottle. I happily paid $12.66. She was still on the phone with her manager as I was paying. As I walked out the door she yelled at me and told me I'm not welcome in that store and to never come back. Well she got her wish. I will never be back. read more

Won't spend another dollar in this store. Two male cashiers working and neither acknowledged me or greeted me when checking out or offered to assist in carrying out my purchases. I like this store because they are open later than most other nearby stores and they have an awesome selection of both beer and wine. I miss the Phish kid though. He was super chill and nice, the other staff is okay as well but I dread going in there when the greasy comb over kid with the glasses is working. He's so socially awkward, it feels creepy and I wish I could just pay for my stuff and go like a self check-out type deal. Seriously, find more people like the phish kid. read more
