I'm just going to say "skip this place", and here's some reasons: - Small, cramped, not great lighting - Gangster rap playing a bit loudly on the speakers - Clerk brandishing a pistol on his belt - Poster showing a colorfully named "Scumbag Thief" to be on the lookout for - Finally and possibly the worst, I've seen convenience stores with better cab sav selections I will say that it was at least clean, and Pistol Pete checked us out with a smile. read more

The staff at this liquor store is very friendly and willing to help out when you walk into the store. I felt welcomed when I shopped in the store. The employees respected my wishes and left me alone after I let them that I wanted to browse since this is my 1st time visiting. I took my time looking around the store before I made my purchase. This store has a decent selection of local beers and most of them are located against the right side of the store as you walk in. Please note that this is one of the smaller liquor stores and the selection will be slightly limited, which I was slightly disappointed in. My only request and feedback for the store is to add more gluten-free beers in their "create your own 6-pack" section. I enjoyed my purchase, but it would have been nice to purchase only a can or bottle of what I was looking for instead buying an entire 4-pack. read more

Jamboree Liquor is a smaller store, but they have a nice selection of craft beer and whiskey. I stop in here from time to time if the store closest to my house doesn't have what I'm looking for, like Firestone's "Easy Jack IPA"! Beer 6-pack prices seem to be about a buck higher than other places I've shopped. read more

I just popped in to grab some local beers. I was immediately greeted by the knowledgable clerk. I explained my wants, and within minutes, I had a cart full of new beers to try. The guy was great, and could not have been more helpful. The store seemed fairly large, but I never made it past the beer section. Prices weren't bad either. They have a teenager working there who doesn't seem to know what he's doing. He rang up a $11 bottle of wine and charged me $2.50. Also returned 2 bottles and he gave me too much money back. I watched the kid act clueless when a woman asked him if they had vermouth. He didn't even know how to spell it. The Asian guy working there is far more competent and helpful. read more

Mountain cellars has the best selection of sour beers in Colorado Springs. The owner, Joe is friendly and knowledgeable about his selection. The prices are pretty competitive, and this is one of the few liquor stores in the springs that is open until midnight. read more

My first time in and very impressed. I love the wine guy with the crazy hair. He was full of knowledge and the wine he suggested was exactly as he described it. The new manager took time to show me around and seemed very genuine in her love for job. That is rare to find in retail anymore. The prices were a little off, but she was happy to correct them without any argument. I will for sure be back every time I am in town just to see that beautiful smile and killer blue eyes. read more

I came here for the first time tonight as referred by a coworker and am so ecstatic with how my visit went. I didn't really know what I wanted, but the moment I walked in the door, Trevor made me feel welcome. He really welcomed me as an old friend. He then guided me through a few different types of liquors I had never tried or seen at other liqour stores. He walked through the aisle with me and pointed out everything as he talked about them Seriously, this guy really knows his stuff! He ended up helping me find an Avion Silver Tequila which is just perfect. To add to the awesomeness, after he checked my ID he remembered my name, which is just really cool if you ask me. Also, he remembered where I worked, which I mentioned right when I walked in, just in passing. However. The positives don't stop there. He the told me about how he likes to drink this tequila (about .5 oz agave nectar, 2 oz tequila, and grapefruit juice to taste)abound I am drinking that at this moment. Seriously delicious! The last cool thing about this place is the loyalty program. They have a super cool punch card system, definitely worth it. I can't even express how happy I am with my visit here tonight. I have only lived in Colorado a month and have already determined my least favorite business. It is definitely this one. Everytime I have gone in there, the person working is either too busy looking at their phones, talking to their friends outside, or just showing what a complete inconvenience my presence in that store is for obviously taking away from their time texting or just plain not caring about their customer base. Every item in the store is over priced, that's judging by the items that are actually correctly priced. I've never received such rude customer service in any business as I have every time I have gone in there. I used to work at a liquor store, I understand you have to deal with many unpleasant people, but if a customer is simply trying to make small talk about THE WINE YOU SELL, while ringing them up (not in anyway taking away from your job or time), rolling your eyes is definitely NOT the correct response and absolutely the wrong way of keeping a customer base. I sincerely hope the owner wisens up and fires his entire staff and hires people who actually care about their business. read more
