Wide selection! The staff are very friendly and always help me pick something amazing and are not trying to push the most expensive bottle!

Liquor stores are a dime-a-dozen in this area. However, this little place on Main St. in Oakville…read morestands out particularly for one reason. Their prices are the cheapest in the area. Their selection is good, staff is good, and I've got no complaints there. But the thing that keeps me coming back is how low their prices are. I'm a beer guy and for example a 6-pack of Sam Adams here is about $2 cheaper than any other liquor store in the area. Even less popular stuff like Dogfish Head and Allagash White are much cheaper here than any other package store around, with Allagash White being about $4-5 cheaper than any other store which is amazing! Their liquors and wines seem priced about the same, and they have a strong selection of these as well. I like how they have a good amount of quality craft beer in their coolers, though they don't have higher-priced individual singles like some other stores do. Regardless, you can get lots of great beer here for cheaper than anywhere else. A couple bucks saved here and there definitely adds up, so coming here is a smart bet. These guys are also open as long as the state will allow, making them very flexible for when you want to get down, as they're open 8am-9pm Mon-Sat. and 10am-5pm on Sunday.

This is my go to liquor store of choice in the area and has been for years. Why? Not because they…read morehave a warehoused-sized selection, and not because they have a staff of douchebag wine/beer snobs on hand to recommend something that's going to end up being really disappointing. They don't have either of those things, so if that's what you require, go elsewhere. What they DO have is an amazingly solid and consistent offering of the brands I love, at possibly the cheapest prices in the area. (I can't really verify the latter, because I never go anywhere else...but the few times I've had to, I was saddened at the competitions price tags.) What they ALSO have is a staff of some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I'm a pretty simple drinker with simple/top shelf tastes...so I don't often need help. But when I do, they are eager to get me what I need and have never let me down. And when I DO want to try something they might not regularly stock, they're always more than happy to order for me. I love my liquor, and I love me some Wine Rack!

It was founded by brothers Michael and David Ieronimo and their partners Christopher Urban and Kyle Ondrush. The two brothers started out as homebrewers in their mother's kitchen in the late 1980s. By 2004, David's brother-in-law Christopher and Michael's co-worker Kyle had also come into the fold. The four formed a homebrew club and brewed together out of a garage. The homebrew club evolved into a homebrewing obsession and the next logical step was starting their own brewery. They chose the name "Brass Works" as a reference to "The Brass City": the official nickname of the city of Waterbury. Kyle retired from the brewery in 2021, but the other three partners still continue to share their passion for good beer. I first visited Brass Works in June 2016. I was driving around the state visiting some breweries that were new to me. The interior of the taproom was really nice; lots of neat decorations. During my stay, I ordered a sampler flight of five beers which included: "Wee Windy English Bitter Ale", "Sweaty Sisters Blonde Ale", "Abel Porter", "Uncle Zac's Stout", and "Double Bird IPA". The latter was my favorite of the bunch; great notes of Amarillo hops! I ended up purchasing a growler of that one to bring home. Keep up the good work gentlemen!
