The behavior during my visit made me feel extremely uneasy. A young man working appeared to be intoxicated as he was slurring his speech while asking to help me, and the way he interacted with me was unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable as a customer. I came in expecting a normal, professional experience, but instead I felt awkward and unwelcome. Regardless of what was going on, customers should be able to shop without feeling uncomfortable or intimidated as he was pushy to sell me on stuff or get me to try something. I felt bad for the other associates at the store as they made eye contact with me with the look of I'm sorry and as I checked out I got the sense the employee at the register was embarrassed and disappointed as I would be too as this person who is obviously a manger and boss of sorts to the other employees. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this store and will not be returning, its worth the longer drive to avoid this place.

When we arrived on time, the lady at the counter informed us that she hadn't even started making them yet even though we put the order in an hour ago. Ok fine, it's busy in the store-not at the deli counter from what I can see though. Then she starts making them and she starts listing all the ingredients they don't have that we ordered, if you have an online order service, you need to mark off the ingredients you are out of. So we recustomize our subs and somehow she still messes them up, wrong size, wrong ingredients, missing ingredients, added ingredients that we didn't order, wrong bread. And it took her 20+ mins to make 2 subs. Will not be ordering here again.

If you are in need of groceries, this place is worth the trip. Their prices are reasonable if not lower compared to other grocery stores. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. They also have a Starbucks located inside the store. They also have a hot and cold bar if you are in the mood to grab a quick bite. Worth checking out if you are in the area. Also, there are tons of food options nearby if you want to check the local food restaurants.

JJ Liquors is located directly next to a grocery store. More specifically, it's located right outside the exit of Safeway. What an easy way to kill two birds with one stone! After you buy your groceries, you can simply walk next door and grab a 6-pack. AFFORDABLE. I've throughly compared the prices of JJ Liquors with the other liquor stores on 40, and I've found that JJ Liquors not only offers competitive pricing for generic brands like Jose, Titos, and Bud, but they also have even lower prices for premium liquor and beer! ORGANIZED. Like most liquor stores, the wine, beer, and liquor are separated throughout the store for easy browsing. But what sets JJ Liquors apart is the cleanliness, and the constant adjustments by the staff to ensure that the labels are pointed outward for a great customer experience. Best in EC! - VVP

Even then they didn't offer to make the order right or substitute....just said "sorry about the mixup, do you still want the bottle we sent?" Ummmm...NO, I don't! The driver admitted that this has happened to other customers. Can't imagine ordering from here again.

To whom this may concern,…read more You should be aware that Allview Liquors in Ellicott City is advertising one price on the shelf of every item and charging a different amount at the register on every item. I spoke with the manager, Justin, and I spoke with his employee, Alex. Alex said "Americans are stupid. They don't read." Something along the lines of how people are not going to notice the difference between the shelf price and the register price. For example, I purchased 6 bottles of moscato wine. The shelf said each item was $7.99; however, when I got to the register, it came up as $8.23 per bottle. I explained to Alex how 25 cents per item per person would really add up and that it was deceitful. He said that they didn't want to pay the 3% credit card fee and that's why they were charging people extra, but this is unbeknownst to the customer. They have a 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch sticker on the door and by the cash registers, saying something along the lines of how the shelf price is the cash price. They very well know that people don't carry cash anymore. I asked repeatedly how do you know what you are paying before you pay for it? They would not answer the question. Eventually, I got the answer that it is 3% more, because they don't want to pay the credit card fee. They have one small line on their receipt about a cash price, but they also say "all sales are final. No returns." My understanding is that this might be illegal--advertising one price consistently over and over throughout your whole store, but charging another for every item at the register.
