    Their Blanton's price is trash...
    Tanya P.

If You are looking for hard to fine Buffalo Trace brands, you will find a few here but they will be easily double MSRP. They had Eagle Rare, EH Taylor small batch, and Blanton's; however, all of them were more than double the price of MSRP.

There is nothing terribly shocking to say about the liquor store. It has beer, wine, and liquor. And they sell it. That get's a thumbs-up in my book. They do have pretty late hours, which is really nice for insomniac drinkers. And they do have a selection, albeit a very small one, of cigars, if that's your thing. The craft beer selection is decent. Not all that great, but OK. I was able to find some pretty cool brews here, and had a pleasant tasting time. The beer went down into my belly quite pleasingly. I'll probably be heading back to pick up some more choices from this place.

Bad area, dirty, cluttered, incredibly rude attendants, refused to provide a receipt after the transaction; very shady.

This was my go-to beer shop. That was until last week. They are constantly price gouging the consumers.

What can I say, it's a liquor store. The prices are reasonable, I can walk there while drunk and the employees are nice.

Super clean, friendly, knowledgable staff, good selection. It's a liquor store, not much else to cover.

Be advised! When other liquor stores were charging $50-$55 for UK Maker's Mark bottles, this store was charging $99. I won't be back.

I still think it is awfully...rough feeling, but the surrounding area is having a bit of a renaissance it seems and I can only hope that it will benefit this local business and perhaps give them a nudge to nice-en up the place a bit. It is a fairly basic two-aisle liquor store. But I have found what I wanted or needed every time I have visited. Most recently it was for wine. I was in ever so dire neeeeed of some inexpensive wine (because there was a winter storm coming and a party to attend and I needed to be prepared for both!) The center aisle of shelves is mostly wine. It comes up to about waist/ribcage height (on a short, short gal like me). Everything is easy to see and easy to reach. And I was pleased and impressed with the selection of local options! Not the biggest or best selection ever, but for a small, neighborhood liquor store is was nice to see. Prices are decent, the staff is as friendly as any liquor store staff I have encountered (which might not actually be saying much, but as a comparison...you know...) I recently moved to the 'hood so I anticipate bringing them my business unless my needs are very specific or very expensive, neither of which are a regular occurrence.

Nothing inspiring, but friendly enough service. Never a destination, just a convenience. I will limit my complaining to this. There is a drive-thru for those too busy or lazy or disabled to get out of their car. And on top of that there are something like 18 parking spaces for a business that couldn't possibly need more than four or five. And to beautify the landscape, there is one small, rather neglected tree on the easement. I wouldn't ask for a garden or anything major. Maybe a flower box?

It's good to know that even 6 years ago I liked Old Town…read more But now....I LOVE Old Town! 5 stars!! I think the biggest difference now is that I drink beer. Back when I wrote my first review, in the good, old days of 2012, I lived on the same street as Old Town and it was easy to get to and had wine that I liked in my preferred price range (so...sweet, white and cheap...just like me! Hey-ooo! :-P) Now, I will regularly go out of my way to make a stop at Old Town. And these days it is primarily for their top notch beer selection! I am always prepared for the cold when I visit Old Town now, because I know I am going to be perusing the beer cave for quite some time. They rank among the top four places in Louisville I excitedly go to, in order to explore special, hard to find, interesting, sought after beer. Even if I am not looking for something specific, I am going to find something I already like if not something that piques my interest enough to try! The biggest plus of a visit to Old Town, aside from the friendly and helpful staff, is that you can buy just about all the beer options as SINGLES. This is huge. This changed my beer-drinking life. I have been able to try so many more beers because of this. When you aren't roped in to buying a four (or more) pack and the beer is 'fancy' and costs $5 or more per beer....doors suddenly open up! Old Town is in the middle of the Highlands, so parking can be tricky. They have a few dedicated parking spaces as well as a drive-thru (if you know exactly what you want) but beyond that it is going to be street parking. They still carry a great selection of wine and liquor, as well as some snack type things (thing cheese and crackers and chocolates). You should absolutely pay a visit to Old Town Wine and Spirits. Just leave some beer for me!
