I made a follow up appointment and was called that afternoon that the doctor was unavailable but she can call me later that day they would call to check me in to obtain my co-pay who charges a co-pay for a follow up to a procedure. I've never had to do that before they called me to check in 30 minutes after they said they would and the doctor would be calling me in 10 minutes. It is now an hour later and I still haven't received a call. I'm going into the office to collect my records and will never use this facility again.

I told them I'd called their office four times the day prior. "Oh, we were busy" was their reply. I canceled my appointment and will find a different Gastro Doctor. I worked in a medical office for ten years, we would never have let four calls go unreturned.

I had been a patient of Dr. Lazar for many years, and in 2017 I was understandably anxious about being treated by a new physician. This time I had no anxiety, whatsoever, because I knew how I would be treated. Dr. Bansal and his staff made me feel like I was the most important patient in the practice. Whenever I see Dr. Bansal he greets me warmly, never rushes me, and takes the time to answer all my questions until he's sure that I understand the answers. Kristin, the scheduling coordinator, carefully explained the prep procedure and returned my call promptly the day before my colonoscopy when I was confused about the directions. Courtney at the front desk is a star receptionist. Marisol and Shoba, the surgical assistants, made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked into the suite until I walked out. The amazing Dr. Chen offered me a Pina Colada (IV) and described the sand on the beach until it was "lights-out". And of course, the gentle, caring demeanor of Dr. Bansal is one you rarely encounter in a busy doctor these days. I'm so very comfortable in this office! No, the prep isn't comfortable, but the procedure can save your life. If you're hesitating, for ANY REASON, don't. Make an appointment at this office and you will be pleasantly surprised.

The young lady was very nice as she directed us to the right place. They are still very thorough with the covid check as the check temperature before going inside, give you hand sanitizer when coming in and ask you to use before leaving & of course everyone was wearing a mask. I think it's great and they are keeping a safe environment. I had a 3:15 PM appointment. I waited in the lobby until 4:15 PM with zero communication about any delays. I was brought into an exam room, had my vitals taken, and was left sitting there for another 30 minutes. At 4:45 PM, an hour and a half past my appointment time, I had to leave. The support staff here are excellent. Crystal was very helpful in setting everything up, and Cheryll at the front desk was compassionate, respectful, and apologetic as she processed the refund for my co-pay. Dr. Linzer, however, was incredibly unprofessional. While I was at the desk, she came out looking visibly agitated. Instead of apologizing for the massive delay, she abruptly demanded to know if I was leaving or wanted to be seen. When I told her I found the wait and the experience disrespectful, she immediately cut me off, cited "emergencies" in an aggressive tone, and quite literally stormed away. Given how I saw her handle this situation, displaying a complete lack of poise and compassion, I am truly glad I didn't receive any medical care from her. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using her as a physician to take that into account. Her time is not more valuable than her patients' time. If you want a doctor who treats you with basic professional courtesy and respects your schedule, look elsewhere.

Parking is easy with parking on every level. Also, this location is in a good school district and feels well-maintained, safe, and well-resourced. The facility is bright, clean and modern. The staff members are welcoming and friendly. The care team here is patient, kind, reliable, caring and understanding. The doctors accommodate my special needs by extending my appointment times to 30 minutes when needed. The patients are approximately 90% White, 2% Asian, 5% Hispanic, and 3% African American. Around 70% were born in the USA and had moved to the U.S. before age 12, 80% came from highly educated families, and 70% are financially well off. I am pleased with the quality of care here and feel comfortable coming here. Even though I am always the only Asian person here, I felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment. As a person with a degree who values quality Healthcare, I highly recommend this NYU Langone facility. The doctors I especially recommend are Dr. Ekaterini Hatzis (Christian, husky lover, half holistic), Dr. Khalilah Knight, and Dr. Berrin Monteleone.
