My daughter was married in May of 2019. Lisa was a waste of time and money. She was supposed to be at the venue with food and coffee for moms and brides maid for make-up. Showed up about 45 late with no coffee. "Traffic". Like who doesn't know in LA to plan for Traffic? Also...was a Sunday morning! She looked like she had rolled out of bed and did not change during the entire day. Guests at wedding commented on her appearance. My daughter really found her own music makeup etc. I had to tell DJ when to announce things like speeches. I had to get the desserts set up. They were supposed to have bridal bouquets for decoration. Didn't happen. I waited until now because I've been too upset too deal with writing a review. My friend's daughter is getting married in May 2022. I strongly advised her not to go with Lisa. We were so impressed as a co-vendor that we just had to write a review. Lisa and her team kept us in constant communication before and during the event. Which was extremely important in this instance because the venue we were working at has very specific instructions for load in and load out which we would've been unaware of if Lisa hadn't done her job so well. That is only the beginning, when we arrived her set up and design ideas for the client were out of this world! She worked seamlessly with our staff to make sure everything was done in an even, smooth, flowing manner! This gave our team the ability to do the best job we could for our client. Where to begin?? Talented, smart, creative, savvy, compassionate, intuitive, a big picture thinker, collaborative...all of these words and so much more describe Lisa Kahn. Our experience working with Lisa was REMARKABLE from start to finish and I am a difficult person to impress. I am the pickiest person on the planet when it comes to the production an event. Our son was becoming a bar mitzvah we had over 170 family and friends from all over in country and industry business executives come to celebrate us over 3 days. Lisa made this event come to life! Every vendor that Lisa brought on board was terrific. Lisa thought of every detail from the choice of invitation, flowers, logos, to the kind of charger plates on the tables. No stone was left unturned. It is not easy going into a venue that is completely empty, but it looked incredible! Lisa oversaw it all, ran a production meeting with all in attendance, coordinated vendors, the venue, catering, décor and lighting companies like a champ. Lisa had incredible makeup and hair people, phenomenal photographers and videographers AND she stayed within her budget!! Transportation was flawless and everything went off without a hitch. Lisa and her team communicated really well and always let us know what was coming up next without being intrusive. The weekend was PERFECT in every way! But, most importantly, Lisa did all of this with a constant smile and a sense of calm that permeated the entire experience. Where do I start?! Lisa and her team are absolutley amazing. As with most big events, things don't always go as planned. Any little hiccups that occured Lisa handled perfectly so that I would have ZERO stress as a bride. This is more important than just about anything to me as I not only was getting married but also had a 5 month old so I really did not need any extra stress! I had been dreaming about my wedding day sicne I was a little girl. Lisa brought my vision to reality and it was even better than I had ever dreamed of. Lisa, MAKES IT HAPPEN!! Planning our wedding with Lisa from Lisa Kahn Events was quite an experience. Lisa has done many weddings and you can tell that her clients have been very happy with her. She has such a big personality and she's a lot of fun to be around. She's kind, patient and professional. We communicated with her through email mostly since we live in another state, which can get tedious at some point. But she made sure to respond to all of our requests and worked out the issues with the vendors properly. One thing we loved about Lisa Kahn Events was the list of the vendors they recommended. Lisa has a great relationship with a lot of fantastic vendors in the Southern California region. We were very happy with the vendors she recommended. More importantly, she develops great relationships with the vendors she doesnt know so things end up going just as well as they would with vendors she knows. She has hosted a lot of events at a lot of top rated venues. She knows a lot of people, which helped us a lot when it came to choosing a venue. Our wedding was PERFECT!! My Wife and I are coming up on our two week anniversary and are we going through some major wedding planner withdrawal, and we miss you Lisa! Our experience with Lisa as our event planner has turned into a relationship / friendship that we truly value, and will have for many years. When reflecting back on our wedding and all the events leading up to it, is the time when you really begin to appreciate and understand how beneficial and amazing Lisa is and all the work behind that goes into planning and being able to pull off an amazing wedding. My wife and I got married at my parents house in Encino. We originally thought that having a home wedding was going to be very simple but we learned that planning wise it certainly is no easy task. Unlike a hotel or restaurant that already has most of the essentials for a wedding party (Chairs, Tables, Food, Staff, etc) all my parents had to offer was a beautiful front yard, and a tennis court. With the help of Lisa we were able to turn their house into a beautiful and spectacular venue with a fully tented tennis court that would rival any Four Seasons ballroom. It was something beyond our wildest imagination. When first meeting with Lisa we felt very comfortable, and instantly began brainstorming about ideas. What is most impressive about Lisa is her ability to instinctively know what we like and our tastes and make the process of planning so much easier for us and for our family as a whole. She has great relationships with all of the top Vendors in Los Angeles and always has at least 3 people that we could talk too. All of the vendors that we used from the Caterer to the photographer were all amazing and we knew that since Lisa had recommended them that we were in good hands. Never once did we have to worry about a detail being missed or if a vendor would have everything correct because we trusted that Lisa would have it taken care of. Another great quality that Lisa possess is the ability to work with the families and manage them as well throughout the process. Both of our parents came to love Lisa, and appreciate all of her hard work. We were always able to ask Lisa questions, whether it was through phone calls, text messages, emails, or faxes from my wife's mom who's doesn't have a computer. She can adapt to any situation and make the most out of what budget you have to work with. Whether the budget is large or small, Lisa is very conscious of what is capable and how to most efficiently work withing the budgets parameters.
