Simply put, Dana was AMAZING! We hired her as our month/day of coordinator for our June wedding and it was the best decision we could have made. After our first meeting with Dana we knew we had the right person. Right away she gave us amazing vendor recommendations that ended up great. My husband and I planned the entire wedding ourselves and when it came down to all the crazy details like the timeline and coordinating all the vendors the stress definitely would have mounted if it weren't for Dana. She was beyond on top of things - organized, professional, straight to the point, and totally great to work with. When it came to the wedding day, we did not have any stress with Dana behind the scenes. Even when there were a few hiccups on the wedding day, she handled them perfectly. She calmed our nerves when our DJ had an emergency and wasn't going to be there until right before the reception and when not one, but two tables caught on fire. Dana was an amazing coordinator who used her expertise to help us pull off a stunning, yet complicated, wedding day with multiple food truck vendors, two bands, live performances from friends, and more. We were running behind all day, and she kept everything moving along - talking to our vendors, making changes to the timeline when the shuttles arrived later than expected, making sure the bridal party was ready to go and in place when needed. She had our caterers bring us a sampling of every appetizer that was served during cocktail hour and made sure we had a few minutes alone right after we were married. That was one of our favorite moments of the wedding - getting time to ourselves and enjoying the tasty food our guests were eating while we were taking photos. While she was "just" our day-of coordinator, she did so much more than that. Especially once we got down to the final four weeks before the wedding, I was swamped with DIY projects, seating charts, decor...and it was SO nice to know she was taking care of contacting all our vendors (and we had a lot of them), confirming our contracts, sending out timelines, answering their questions so I didn't have to. It made my life so much easier during those stressful final weeks. Easily the best decision we made for our wedding was hiring Dana. We went into the process skeptical of what a day-of coordinator does and if one was really needed. We were very wrong. Even though we only hired her for the day-of, she was kind enough to respond to our questions throughout the planning process, she pointed us in the right direction for other vendors, and she met with us several times prior to learn who we are and what we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Dana was on top of things from the get-go. By the time we arrived, she had already spoken with all of our vendors (including each of our shuttle drivers). As snap decisions had to be made, she either made them quickly for us or presented them to us in a way that was respectful of everything going on at the moment. No action was too small or beneath her -- she even made sure we always had a drink and were fed knowing we would be busy with our guests. She has no agenda but to make sure your day goes perfectly. I could go on and on about how organized, punctual, professional, and friendly Dana is, or about how she is constantly willing to work with vendors to get her clients what they want for their day, or about how confident I felt on my day because I knew that she was taking care of things. Here's a couple stories from our wedding, just to prove how amazing Dana is: Our officiant ghosted on us about a week before the wedding. We hadn't heard from him in 2 weeks, despite leaving several voicemails and emails. I called Dana to ask her advice, and discovered that she was already on it. She called him multiple times a day, sent a ton of emails, and when that failed, called me with a list of alternative officiants that she'd already talked to with last-minute availability. We ended up finding our officiant in the end, but it was SO reassuring to know that Dana was on top of things every step of the way. In the morning of the day, the florist arrived and I noticed that there were only 2 bridesmaid bouquets. I had 3 bridesmaids. I was freaking out and did not know what to do. Almost as soon as Dana arrived about an hour later, she got the news about the bouquet from one of my bridesmaids, and came right upstairs to reassure me. Toss bouquet in hand, she told me not to worry, that the toss bouquet was almost identical to the bridesmaids' ones, and she would make sure to get it back from the bridesmaid later to use for tossing. This might seem like a small thing, but small things like that happened countless times during the wedding day. If I did not have Dana, dealing with all of those small issues would have been stressful and overwhelming. My husband and I got married last summer and Dana was our wedding coordinator. I am by nature a perfectionist. I had a vision in my head - and I hadn't a clue as to how to get there (as this was my first wedding I had ever put together). Luckily, in the very early stages of planning our wedding Dana was recommended to me as a coordinator. And boy was I lucky. I remember my first conversation with her, I was a bit nervous because I was worried she'd think I was crazy if I blurted every question out in my head, but without hesitation she patiently answered every question I had and not once made me feel bad about it. She also offered advice on things I had never thought about. She was professional as can be, yet sweet and welcoming. Dana was there for every meeting and walk thru with the other vendors leading up to the wedding. I really felt like she made sure I was being taken care of, that my questions were being addressed, and before leaving she would lean over and ask "Do you feel good about everything? Is there anything else you want to talk about?" She really made me feel like she was in my corner and no body else's - even though I knew she had worked with the other vendors previously and had already a relationship. On rehearsal day, we had everyone over at my mother in-laws house (which is where we got married). I had arranged for a self serve bar and some décor - I know its just the rehearsal but I still wanted it beautiful. Dana showed up with her assistant early to the rehearsal and without even asking jumped right in and started helping set up - that's not her job! But she did it anyways because that's just the type of person she is. And of course the most important day - we literally could not have done it without her! She is amazing with people! Post wedding, I had people comment on how great Dana was, no joke! Weddings are a big production, and everything is on a timeline - she made sure everything happened flawlessly. Including giving our wedding party a 5 minute warning before their speech, or my dad its time for our dance, and staying on top of the DJ making sure he was following the timeline. She is assertive but so lovely and sweet - you just want to follow her direction. I've never been to a wedding where I've seen the coordinator so on top of things! AND after the ceremony she brought drinks and appetizers to my husband and I where we were taking our 15 minute break before pictures (her recommendation BTW! :) ). We had buffet style food - and she even plated our food and brought it to our table, and the cake! She went above and beyond to make sure Josh and I were taken care of and made us feel that we were the most important throughout the entire night. Seriously, Dana is as good as it gets!! She is kind, easy to talk to, diligent, organized, hard working, knowledgable, and fun to plan with! I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was. The first time I called her to inquire about wedding planning, I spoke to her easily for about half an hour or more- we clicked right away and that was very important to me since a wedding planner is part planner-part therapist when you're having some wedding planning freak-out moments and when things don't always go as planned (no matter how amazing everything is planned- it's inevitable). She is so calm and focused on how to make everything run smoothly and make the bride and groom have their fairytale wedding. Dana really was the perfect wedding planner for us. We decided to hire her for more than just the day of. So she started helping here and there from the beginning, but at about 6 weeks before the wedding she really kicked in. She's this adorable woman from New York and will tell you how it is in the sweetest way. Which was really great bc sometimes I could get ahead of myself, and she always calmed me down and let me know everything was going to be fine. At times the vendors would stress me out, and she would step right in and handle it so I could relax. She would text and call just to check in and see how I was doing. And would go above and beyond for me. Really she's the best!! I would suggest hiring her for more than just the day of. You'll be glad you did. We absolutely loved Dana! We had a small wedding with a very tight budget so we were only able to hire her for our day of coordination, but she was still so helpful with suggestions and advice during the months leading up to our wedding. Our ceremony was held on the lawn in front of a City library which was open to the public so there was sensitivity regarding the set up which she handled perfectly. The reception venue was a block away and she spent the hours leading up to the wedding running back and forth between them making sure everything was exactly as we had planned. She managed all of our vendors including a 20 person High School Drum Corps which was a part of our wedding ceremony, and made sure that everything ran smoothly and on schedule.
