For example, I was told my crown would cost about $300 but my insurance fully covers that. I'm told fillings cost $50 but again, my insurance fully covers that. I have to fight this every single time. It isn't until I ask for billing codes for my insurance company that they agree my insurance covers the procedures. Definitely makes you feel as of they are trying to take advantage of people, hoping people don't fully understand their insurance policies. And don't get me started on how they do NOT return phone calls! I've looked for a dental office with better business ethics and who takes my insurance and have had no luck So for now I'm stuck fighting poor business ethics.

Today I went in for 3 fillings. I was having horrible anxiety, and I really wanted to cancel the appointment. Rox and Dr. Kim took great care of me and they were incredibly patient as I made them aware of my anxiety. They talked me through the whole process as they worked quickly and efficiently, and they expressed that they were available for whatever I might need to alleviate the anxiety. For the first time in my life, I have found a dental office that actually cares about me, my comfort, and my safety. I highly recommend this place! The receptionist saying that I had to be there in time while I would call ahead of time to let them know that traffic was terrible and was running a few minutes late but I was on my way just horrible find a different dentist that has a better understanding of women who want to be mothers at any age they choose and also other staff that has an understanding that traffic happens and you calling 20 minutes ahead of your schedule to let know your running late is something they can understand.

It just wasn't the same. So, insurance or not, I decided to go back to Dr Rich and Dr Fields. Both dentists are thorough and personable. There are lots of extras at this dental office. You can get a paraffin wax treatment on your hands while you're getting your dental work done. They also have warm blankets and memory foam padding in the chairs. They make you as comfy as possible during your dental treatment. I recommend them to everyone I know. My neighbors and family go here, too!

My experience with this dentist had serious and lasting consequences for my health…read more * I had healthy teeth before treatment and had never undergone invasive dental procedures. I believed he was simply redoing some old fillings. * During the first appointment, my frenulum and facial tissue were injected multiple times with anesthetic after I was told to keep asking for more if it "wasn't working." It wasn't working, and the injections continued. * During a later visit, I received what appeared to be a very large injection of lidocaine inside the back of my mouth before being sent to his brother's office for a procedure I later questioned. * A later dentist told me some of my teeth appeared to have been partially extracted. I also later realized he had been using an in-office crown machine after hearing him talk about it, something I did not understand at the time. * After these visits I developed neurological symptoms, arrhythmia, and paralysis affecting my upper right lip and mouth movement near the injection site. Years later the arrhythmia continues and I am still working to recover neurologically. * When I tried to obtain my X-rays, I was first told they could be purged due to record-retention laws. After I cited the law, I was told they would provide them, but later I was told their server went down and the X-rays were lost. * I later discovered consent form issues and had difficulty obtaining complete records. * Because I did not initially understand the cause of my symptoms, I moved several times and eventually out of state believing the problem might be environmental. The matter is now active in appellate court. Patients should always request copies of their records and imaging and consider a second opinion before major dental work.
