Over the course of five years, I had three implants placed at this dental center. Sadly, two of them have failed. The staff was courteous, but the long-term success of the implants with no viable solution guidance was very disappointing. DO NOT GO HERE! I've never had a cavity in my life and the first time I went here they said I had 5 cavities. Had them "filled" spent a ton of money and for some reason came back. The next year I had more cavities. I left that place and never got them filled. I went to a different dentist the next year and they complimented how great my teeth looked and were surprised I hadn't had a cleaning in two years. I had zero cavities and they were baffled when I told them another dentist told me I had cavities that were somehow not there. Also they tried to remove my wisdom teeth for more $$$. I asked if it was necessary and was told there was an 100% chance they needed to come out at some point so get them out early. They are now fully grown in and I've never had a problem. I have so much anger for this place. You're supposed to look out for people and be there people. It is so gross to be using patients for money. So disgusted by this place. read more

Dr.Amante sawed off a crown claiming it had decay underneath. Then ground down the remaining tooth . The procedure was extremely stressful. I almost choked on all the water being shot into my moith. While I was numbed up he drilled a hole in the neighboring tooth all the way into the nerve. I suffered in pain not wanting to go back to him. Finially it became unbearable . Before writing this review I actually double checked to see if I had the right place. Here's the rundown of how my visit went. I was over due by about a year for a cleaning. I didn't have any other problems, just wanted a cleaning so I called Lisle Dental Center because they were close to my office and took my insurance...and had good reviews. It seems to be the trend now to do a consultation appointment and then a second appointment for a cleaning. I don't have time for that, so when I called to make an appt and suddenly they had an opening in two days and I specifically asked "Will you do the cleaning then?" "Oh yes" I showed up at 7.55 for my 8.00 appt. I was given the usual new patient forms to fill out. While I was filling them out, the two women sitting at the front vanished. I put my papers on the desk at 8.05 and saw them in the back talking. At 8.20 no one had come back so I got up and looked. They were all back there just chatting with the doctor. They saw me, and right away I was taken to the exam room. Apparently I looked like I didn't have anywhere better to be. I'm not sure my butt had even hit the chair when they started trying to sell me services and products. First was the "cancer screening." They gave me a consent form to fill out. That was all they said, was that I needed to sign it. I knew from past (and more honest) dental visits at other offices that this probably wasn't covered. So I asked. Oh, no - they informed me that it wasn't covered and I would have to pay $50-60 up front and then try to get it back from my insurance company. This, to me, seems almost illegal. Pass. I had braces as a kid but didn't wear my retainer so a couple of my bottom teeth have moved. They started in on their Invisalign sales pitch making it sound as if my teeth were all going to fall out if I didn't do it. Pass. Then, they started on the x-rays. I've never had so many x-rays in all my life. After that, they took pictures of my teeth. Finally the doctor came in. She looked over my teeth - meanwhile trying to sell me Invisalign and teeth whitening, etc, etc. She did that test where they use a tool to check the pockets around your teeth. It freaking hurt, she was clearly jamming it into my gums to make the reading worse. She came up with a treatment plan for me. It as three pages long and cost $2300 after insurance. They wanted to do scaling and major work that involved Novocaine and antibiotics. When do you want to make your appointment? Pass. I left here after an hour and half without having my teeth cleaned. They had no intention of doing it, the hygienist wasn't even there. When I went to check out so I could get the hell out of there they told me I owed $18. I asked what it was for and they didn't even know. A few days later I took BS treatment plan to another dentist. I didn't need a single thing on there, and the one thing I did need didn't even show up on her little plan. It also wasn't goint to cost me $2300. The new dentist was appaled. When this dentist did the test of the pockets around my teeth, there as no pain and all the readings were 1s and 2s (not 4s & 5s as at Lisle Dental). The new dentist wanted to see a copy of my x-rays. I called the office to get a copy of them - they are digital copies that basically involves printing out 2 pages. They told me it was going to be $15 or $25 or something. I got angry and started to argue with them and was passed off to the new patient coordinator. She agreed to let me have them for free but wanted to know why. I informed her that I was getting second opinion, but did not tell her I'd already been. Immediately they started to backpedal. Telling me the Dr had only done part of the exam, it wasn't complete and that she couldn't really tell how much of a cleaning I needed. COULDN'T TELL? Isn't that her job as a Doctor? The dentist I saw as the second opinion didn't have any problems seeing that I didn't' need all that work. I'm glad I didn't let them scare me into paying $2300 for unnecessary services. The staff here is horrible, what a scam. Avoid this place at all costs, because it will cost you. read more

Kudos on the PR, Dr. Bhushan! Nonetheless, I did call your on-call mobile phone, either late April or early May, on the very same day that I inquired about my balance and Gabrielle got nasty with me. I left a message asking that you call me, to no avail. It doesn't matter now, I'm done. I left this post as a favor to others and, unlike Lisle Dental, I have nothing to prove. I have never visited a dental office with so much technology! Your office is visually awesome! However, quoting Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This applies to customer service as well as life in general. But, what does it matter to you when you are getting so many more compliments than complaints, right? No need for your PR response please. I am always apprehensive about going to the dentist. But I must say that Dr. Bhushan and her team impressed me with their compassion, professional demeanor, and overall coolness. This office will not do anything to your mouth on your first visit. They take digital xrays and photos of your mouth, and both the hygienists and Dr. Bhushan review them all with you so you understand exactly what is going on in your mouth. If you're more comfortable being in the dark, get used to seeing the inside of your mouth. Repeat visits that included both cleaning and fillings, and I am confident that I am in good hands. Everyone was very gentle and were respectful of my time. You get to watch TV in the chair. Prices were fair and they took my insurance with no issues at all. I will return to Lisle Dental with no reservations for my 6 month appointment. If you live in the western suburbs, I recommend them highly. read more

I am not a fan of going to the dentist. I've never had cavities, braces, or the like, but I have a dislike of the tooth-cleaning process. However, my mom (who finds my shunning of dental cleanings to be problematic) found a Groupon for a cleaning/whitening, and bought it for me as a moving gift. End back story. THESE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME. My teeth are clean, (& WHITE) they were helpful, personable, and efficient without exception. From reception to the hygenist, to the dentist - very courteous, friendly and pleasant. VERY impressed. This office is comfortable and state-of-the-art, and the appointment was kept, promptly. I will be moving to the west coast soon, but I would consider flying back for further dental work at this office. Seriously. That good. read more

It has been several years since I have properly tended to my teeth (meaning, actual trips to the dentist, not just twice a day brushing.) Why haven't I? I have been busy with kids, and I tried out 2 other area dental practices and didn't have great experiences. All this changed after my trip to Lisle Dental Center. I KNEW it wasn't going to be my best exam--it had been nearly 3 years since my last cleaning, and I knew I had a thick layer of tartar on some of my teeth. I also knew I had (at least) gingivitis, as over the course of 3 pregnancies my gums have gotten worse and worse and now bleed regularly. I went in and yes, was offered the oral cancer screening, was informed that some insurance providers cover it, others do not, etc. It was NOT pushed, just recommended, and I am a big girl who makes grown up decisions every day. I decided to do it. I could just have easily opted out and life would have gone on. I truly appreciated their up-front disclosure that it might not be covered by my insurance. I have had a few experiences where a service was provided, but I was not informed that it was an optional service and might not be reimbursed. As long as I have that information, I welcome offers for the latest services. To NOT offer such services, in my opinion, is a bit derelict. I was also offered information about Invisalign, which I have been considering for the past several years. I have a very noticable overlap in my front teeth, and have been wanting it fixed for most of my life. Again, I'm an adult and have the ability to say "no" if I am not interested or do not find something to be necessary. Some day I will have it done, and it is nice to know which dentists can do it (not ALL do.) I hadn't had x-rays in at least 9 years, so I had them done, which revealed 2 cavities (will be filled next week). I appreciated having the camera view of all of my teeth, as I could see exactly what both the hygenist & Dr. Bhushan were talking about when discussing issues. It was very informative to see how my teeth and gums compared to their educational slideshow (they show you the range of healthy to diseased gums on an iPad.) It was very evident where I fell when comparing my pictures with the slideshow. I have to say that I don't think I have ever encountered such a knowledgable hygenist as Emily. I did need to have the deep cleaning done, which I expected, and it wasn't as painful as I was anticipating, thanks to having a local anesthetic applied to my gumline. The hygenist, Emily, promised me that I would feel like I had a new mouth, and she was right! It feels so much cleaner! I was given very complete instructions for how to clean at home, as well as a special mouthwash and flouride toothpaste to use at home. I have an appointment for my fillings next week, and then in 4 weeks will be back for a follow-up for my gumline issues. I haven't been so happy with a dentist visit in a LONG time, and am kicking myself for not coming in sooner, which could have staved off some of my issues. read more

After moving back to Chicago (for good) after having lived in different cities in the past few years, I decided to go to Lisle Dental for my regular check ups. The staff is very courteous and always greets guests with patience and a smile. I have always found parking close by every time I've had my visit no matter what time of the day it is. In addition, the staff are knowledgeable and efficient. Dr. Bhushan cares deeply about her patients and that is reflected in the way she approaches her work and the level of attention and detail she provides to her patients. She will take the time to thoroughly explain your care and spend the extra time to go over any questions you may have. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good dentist to grow with. read more

I am writing another review about this dentist because that is how awful this office is. They are all about making money and spend more time trying to sell products than talking about your teeth. I first went there in Aug 2013 for a cleaning. I was told my gums were so severe I needed a $400 Deep Cleaning which insurance didn't cover. (No thank you) I recently went to my new dentist (Caring Smile Dental - awesome place) and they made no mention of a need for a $400 Deep Cleaning, nor did they tell me my gums were in bad shape. In fact, the doctor commented on how good my gums looked. My exams were sent to my new office and the receptionist told me Lisle Dental Center charged me for the X-rays instead of going through my insurance ( which it would have been covered) and Lisle Dental Center told them "it's an internal thing." Well, that cost me a hundred dollars. Long story short, this office is filled with "fake" niceness and watch your bill, because they WILL try to get you to pay for procedures you don't need. Lisle Dental Center tried pushing Invasilgn on me for the low price of three thousand dollars for some minor clenching I may do during the night. This was presented to me as if they were offering me a pop. The doctor casually mentioned that we could get started on the molds that day. She seemed shocked when I told her I had to think about it because it was $3,000 we were talking about. Caring Smile Dental told me my clenching problem would be fixed with a night guard that may cost $400. However, the doctor acknowledged that was a lot of money (insurance won't cover it) and told me to think about it. Lisle Dental Center never once acknowledged $3000 to be expensive, nor did they advise me to think about it. The pushy doctor wanted to get started on that right away - because OF COURSE she didn't want me to think about it. In closing, DO NOT trust this dentist. They are ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. They pushed a mouth wash on me for $50 telling me how much I needed it. After reading some reviews, I see they push this on maybe patients. Another sell. If you're looking for a dentist around the Lisle area, please give Caring Smile Dental a chance. They are located near the Seven Bridges Movie Theater. They cleaned my teeth and NEVER tried to sell me anything. Their office is genuine. I wish someone had warned me against Lisle Dental Center before I went. read more

Their facility is awesome! I could have hung out there the whole day. Their waiting room is spacious and has comfortable seating (looks expensive...). Also, it may be just me, but this was the first dental office I have been to where all the patients get their own flat-screen HDTV. The best thing about this facility is that it doesn't have that distinct stinky-dental office smell. The staff was very friendly and I must admit, the dentist was a hottie!!! I don't know much about dentistry but it was obvious that they know what they're doing and they work as a team. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Lisle dental. From the minute you walk in the door you're greeted with a friendly smile and a staff that truly cares about your dental health. I came in for an exam and had a few cavities. Dr. Bhushan was great because she squeezed me in so I didn't have to reschedule another appointment. To make it even better, she didn't even use the numbing shot because I had little cavities. She was so gentle, I didn't feel a thing. It was very convient to be able to work the rest of the day without the annoyance of a numb cheek. To make the visit even better she was able to give me botox during my appointment. Talk about a one stop shop! I felt extremely comfortable during my appointment. The staff was very knowledgeable, the office was aesthetically pleasing, and my teeth are clean! I left feeling great and can't wait to go back. I have already recommend Lisle Dental to my friends! read more

Dr. Amante is great! I selected the Lisle Dental Center based on my insurance and their proximity to my home. I mixed up my appointment time and arrived one hour early. I offered to come back, but they said they could get me in. I really appreciate that I was able to see the dentist, Dr. Amante, right away. After x-rays the dentist came in and we went over my dental care. I thought he did a great job of listening to my concerns and giving me his recommendations. Considering they do general and cosmetic dentistry, I was concerned they would push the cosmetic procedures, but I felt Dr. Amante explained his recommendations and reasons very clearly. My wife also plans to visit the Lisle Dental Center. The one complaint I had was the excessive use of candles, they seemed to have one lit in every room. I have a slight allergy to some candles but it was tolerable. read more

I have been going to the same dentist for my entire life. However, due to where I work/live now I had to find a new one. I did a lot of research and settled on the Lisle Dental Center because of their proximity to work, nice website, diverse hours, female staff and they take my insurance. Still - I was nervous! I got my teeth cleaned by Brigid, who was very friendly and nice. I came during lunch and she was very accommodating considering my tight schedule. Afterwards, Dr. Malik examined my mouth. I needed to get a filling and I was given the exact cost I would pay and my insurance would pay. I found it nice to know ahead of time. I was concerned after reading the yelp reviews that 1) I wouldn't get my teeth cleaned on my first visit - I DID and 2) that the staff would try to sell me things I didn't need - THEY DIDN'T. So I came back a couple weeks later to get my filling. I was very nervous because the area that was getting filled was very sensitive, as my enamel had worn off, and the thought of having it drilled on was nauseating. I verbalized this fear to Dr. Ali and she said, not to worry, she will make sure I am completely numb. This was all I needed to hear to be at ease. She did a beautiful job on my filling and it was painless. So glad I found a new dental office I can trust and that is so convenient. As long as I continue to work in Lisle, I will be going to Lisle Dental Center. read more

Wow. I recently developed a toothache which ended up having to be treated with a root canal. I was desperate at the time, just wanting the pain to stop, and since I had just moved to Lisle did not have a dentist already. I am very glad I choose to walk through the door at the Lisle Dental Center. The staff is amazingly friendly, and they bend over backwards to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible. Between having convenient hours, a staff that wants to accommodate your needs, and things such as pandora stations and televisions with Netflix the wonderful people of the Lisle Dental Center try to make your experience as positive as possible. I plan on using the Lisle Dental Center for all of my Dental needs as long as I live in Lisle. TLDR: These people rock, let them help you with your teeth, you wont regret it. read more

I walked into the office and I initially thought that this looked like a great place. I went there because I had a Groupon for botox. I know red flag right there, but I did it anyhow. I had a great feeling going in there, the office smelled nice, the waiting area was clean and modern and the receptionist was very pleasant. I was immediately taken back to a patient room but waited over half an hour before anyone saw me. I ahve had botox before and this was the first time the injections hurt, in fact, over 12 hours later, it still hurts. I have to agree with the other yelper on here who said they are salespeople and pushy. They even have the receptionist in on it when it was time to leave and my feeling towards the place changed. The Dr had the receptionist and other staff members trying to talk me into procedures I had already said I wasn't comfortable with. I don't recommend it. A dentist should focus on your teeth, not facial injections. I will not make the same mistake again. read more

I called a few weeks ago to be emailed a release form to send my x-rays to my new dentist. The woman that called me in response to my voicemail was short and rude and oh yes... never emailed the form. Perhaps it's because of the bad review I left previously about being scolded for not flossing. Give me a break. Even though they told me they were covered under my insurance they were not and I had to pay out of pocket over $100 just to be told I don't floss enough. My husband and I have visited this office for the past three years because it's like 5 minutes away from our house. I also visit other dentists office for my crowns because of cheaper price. Guess what, after comparing 3 dental offices, Lisle dental center is way over charging for a "basic" cleaning. Just like other reviews mentioned, for every visit, they like to take unnecessary X-rays and insist so many other unnecessary treatments. They makes me feel like I am in such a bad shape of dental health. However, other two dentist I visit they both agree whatever treatments (a huge list) Lisle dental suggested are unnecessary. What made me really upset and wrote this review was that two week ago I visited this office for a "basic" cleaning. I was expecting to spend around 1 hour or less in the office then I have to go work. They spent (no joking) 50 mins to take X-rays, explain how bad my oral condition (again!), and I had to sign documents about refusing do all the treatments they proposed. Okay... so I told the assistant that I really need to go. I need to get my teeth cleaned!!!!!! Then the doctor came (she seems more reasonable), talked to me for another 10 minutes. I didn't get to clean my teeth until ONE HOUR later!!!! Also I was very clear stating that today I only want to have a basic cleaning where my insurance covers. WOW surprised! This week I received a bill of $16 (after my insurance cover $148 for a basic cleaning?!) of fluorine varnish. I did not acknowledge the MOUTH WASH they gave it to me after the cleaning did not including in my insurance which costs $16! Same thing happened to my husband. However, he is actually careless BECAUSE I am the one who is taking care of the bill! I wonder if they get commission for selling patient products. Honestly, besides unreasonable charges (where really upsets me), all the staff are pretty nice and friendly. read more

To make a very long and irritating story short, being convinced to remove my COMPLETELY FINE false piece from my front tooth, then 2 visits where I was given the most gosh awful temp piece b/c the first crown did not fit correctly, then coming in for the final crown and being told my already filed down tooth needed to be filed down more, I am done w/this office. My insurance company recommended it and I wish I had never made an appointment, my smile will never be the same. I damn near cry everytime I look in the mirror, please just go somewhere else. To makes matters worst I paid them $160 for a crown I don't trust them to put on seeing they can't even make a temp look halfway decent. Fast forward a few days later. Receptionist Michele calls me saying she's so sorry if I was unhappy (wonder where she got that from)and they would love for me to come in and explain what happened w/her and the owner and if I still wanted, the owner, would be able to put my crown in. So I came in, the hi and byes were fake, of course nobody asked me what had happened, but the owner kept things funny and light while inserting the crown. I did tell Martha, the dental assistant, to tell the first dentist that I'm sorry for getting so upset w/her, I was just really tired of coming in and hearing some other crap that will need to be done and I guess I took it out on her. Will I be going back? I really don't want to but my smile is fixed so I guess I'm happy. Alright fast forward 2 weeks, I had gotten some what of a blood blister on my lip after my crown appt. I was really worried about what it was but it started to somewhat peel away so I just said whatever. Then Michele actually called me, you know what they all know my hectic work schedule and I am so blown away by that, I explained what was going on and she urged me to come in. Dr. Amante explains to me what could have caused it, and advised me to come back if anything changes, which I'm surprised b/c I would be tired of seeing me. $400 later, I really don't plan on returning and they are aware of this, just not the happiest first impression. read more

I've been a patient at Lisle Dental Center for the last few years. Every time that I've been there, both the dental hygienists and the dentist have been so kind and really make a point to get to know me. I didn't have dental insurance, but when I was there this last time, they offered an insurance program that made my cleaning free and the small work I had done 30% discounted. I'm so happy that they offered me insurance. Now I'm not dreading the bills of having my teeth cleaned in 6 months! *Also, I know this is a silly reason for liking a dentist and dental hygienist, but they both had small hands that made it so that my mouth wasn't sore for days afterwards! read more

A truly disappointing and costly experience. I had been using an out-of-network dentist for years - a little costly, but he was good. Then he recommended replacing my amalgams with composite fillings and thought that two of the teeth would need crowns. I knew that out-of-network crowns were going to be expensive and that's when I found in-network, Dr. Bhushan. She examined me and prepared and treatment plan that, with insurance, would be reasonable. I made the error of agreeing to the plan without fully realizing the significance of the warning that the insurance coverage was an estimate. Twenty-five years with my prior dentist and I'd never had a treatment rejected as unnecessary. But this crown was deemed unnecessary AFTER Dr. Bhushan did the work. ALWAYS GET A PRE-DETERMINATION. But then the fun began. Based on my conversations with the office staff, they did not appeal the insurance company's decision until I made an issue of it. And then, after claiming that the insurance company had lost the appeal three times, I called the insurer and found that the problem was that the documents provided were not identified as an appeal so the insurer simply filed them away. You would think that the office staff would know how to deal with an insurer. After I called, the insurer reviewed the supplemental information provided by Lisle Dental and stood by its decision that the crown and the core build-up were not needed. That was about six months after treatment began. Their decision cost me an additional $300+, but I was glad to pay it to be clear of Lisle Dental. Throughout the appeal process, I stayed in touch with the dentist's office and was told not to pay the bill until insurance was finalized. However, almost as soon as the Explanation of Benefits arrived, I received a voicemail from someone in the office whom I'd never spoken with telling me that I owed them money, was way past due and would be referred to collection - and charged an additional 30% - if I did not pay it off that day. I called, gave them my credit card number and a piece of my mind. I will never be going back to them. Their back-office operation seemed barely competent. Additional aggravations: I had at least two, possibly as many as four 10:00 a.m. appointments. The first appointment of the day. I was on-time for each but ended up sitting in reception for at least ten minutes. It's not a lot of time, but if you open at 10:00 and the patient is on-time, then the patient's butt should be in the chair at 10:01. They were just in the back, talking. How unprofessional! After Dr. Bhushan replaced the composite fillings, there were rough several spots on my teeth where the composite material apparently landed and hardened. No attempt was made to remove it until I mentioned it at the next appointment. The crown that she put on has a different profile than the natural tooth. That has messed up my bite and will likely cost me another $1,200 for a new bite splint. I had five follow-up appointments in which she attempted, without success, to correct the bite. And after the last one, I was told that I'd have to pay for any additional adjustments. As far as I'm concerned, you screwed it up, you fix it. One of the follow-up appointments was made for the day before Thanksgiving. I had the appointment card in my pocket when I knocked on the door. The only person in the office was handling the books. The office was closed for the holiday. Her attempts to adjust the bite were almost comically flawed. She had me bite down on the foil that leaves dots on the teeth that mark the points of contact. She'd then grind those points away and say she was done. Well . . . no! Once you grind those points away, there are new points of contact and there is no guarantee that they will provide a good bite. Yet, that was her approach on at least two occasions. So, very impressive office - high tech. Office staff has a lot to learn about customer service and working with insurers. The dental care was probably professionally adequate, but . . . is "sloppy" the right term to describe outcomes that no other dentist in my experience would have provided? When my life-long dentist started cutting back his hours as he entered into retirement, I found myself looking for a new dentist. I did my research and was very excited to give Lisle Dental Center a try. Unfortunately, my visit was less than ideal. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I received numerous sales pitches from the moment I sat down. Though I was told that I had an amazing smile by the dental hygienist, she quickly went on to tell me that I needed an express invisalign treatment to correct two teeth that were left slightly crooked after my braces were taken off. (No thank you!) Though I was too young for botox, or so she told me, she asked me to tell my friends at work about the botox events that were coming up at the office. (I am here for a checkup, not to be on your advertising team!) She went on to try to sell me special vitamin toothpaste, and accuse me of eating poorly due to evidence of mineral loss on my teeth, which happens to be genetic. The exam continued, and seemed to last forever. Though I must say she was overly thorough with the exam, it was to the point of annoyance. I do not need to hear all six gum measurements for every single tooth in my mouth. The exam was excessive, but I could see it as useful for someone with severe dental issues. As an average dental patient, the information was overwhelming. I would have preferred to have a summary of my dental health at the end of her examination. I may be a special case, but the doctor seemed to feel that I needed five cavities filled that day. The excessive number resulted in a call to my dad from the dentist chair. With all the sales pitches earlier in the visit, I wasn't sure I could trust the doctor's opinion. It was unfortunate that a visit like this would end in me almost not being willing to take care of my dental health for fear that they were trying to get more money from me like they had earlier in the visit. The first visit for my kid with Dr. Bhushan was pleasant, with that in mind, i switched to them as well. The staff were nice, but its a big trap, at least it looks like that. Also, on the web and through out the appointment procedure it was mentioned that the doctor was Bhushan but on the treatment room someone else walks in only to tell she no longer practices there but using her name b'se she owns it. A big no no, and misguidance to us patients. They do all unnecessary X-rays, they took 18 for me and said i am in good shape. High tech. But the actual job was never done. Then suggested two more visits for clean up. If you think its a thorough investigation, its a big BS. They do it to get maximum money from Insurance and on top sent me a fat bill. What i disliked most was follow up emails and texts so very often reminding me of my treatment plan. This dentist even said my daughter doesn't have permanent tooth coming and thats a disorder and we have to do a procedure and he is the expert., without even looking at the X-Ray, a dozen of them they took mins before. My former dentist always took two X-rays and cleaning, i had to pay only $10.00 co pay. He was so honest and so good, unfortunately i had to switch b'se we moved here. Coming to think of it, over 90% of medical practices in this country and else where follow the same trend, money driven not care driven. This must change. read more

I have been in to the Lisle Dental Center office 3 times over the past 1.5-2 years (schedule conflicts that push the 6 month cleaning to 8 or so). I have found them to have the utmost in professional courtesy and a very pleasant experience overall. I like that they are very technology oriented, with simple text message confirmations and appointment reminders. As I am moving out the area I am struggling to face the possibility of having to try and find another dentist that demonstrates as much personal care and attention that Dr. Bhushan. It might just be worth the 100 mile drive to keep coming back. read more

Similar to the other reviews, I have extremely positive things to say about Lisle Dental Center. The staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Bhushan is not only skilled at what she does, but she seems to be very passionate about it as well. Not to mention she is personable and professional. I have been there for several cleanings and just had my first cavity filled. The procedure was quick and painless and I got to listen to Pandora while she worked. I was told I needed multiple fillings, and given the cost after insurance. I came for the first appointment, paid my out of pocket (it was a lot for me) and then received a bill for the rest, stating insurance didn't cover the materials used... I appealed, insurance refused to pay, stating alternate materials were available. I spoke with the practice, they said they would give me a discount. Instead they've doubled the bill with added fees and are threatening collection. I've visited another dentist and had the work completed for a fraction of the cost... I also did not need the number of fillings I was told I did... the office refuses to respond to my request for settlement. read more

I want to thank the whole team at Lisle Dental Center. They are fun, comforting, and extremely professional. I haven't had a teeth cleaning in over a year so I was kinda scared to hear what Dr. Bhushan and her team had to say. I also knew that my past two dentists talked to me about my gums. Well when I got there they made me feel at home. Friendly receptionists and comfortable waiting area. I filled out my initial forms and I was actually brought in right away. My Hygienist Bridget was also friendly. She asked me what I was in for and what I wanted to do. I also brought up that my gums might not be in that good of a shape. Well as predicted I did have some bad gums. Some 6s and 7s! She not only told me, but she showed me pics of my gums. That being said I knew she would suggest a deep cleaning, which I totally needed. Your teeth is what people see when you talk and smile. So I opted to do it along with my regular cleaning. Before she started all the procedures one of the receptionists came in to show me what I would be charged. I could have easily said I didn't want certain things. But I knew what I was getting into and signed the documents. People have the ability to say yes and no. And I know that Dentists are business people too. But by far this Dentistry showed me and did not bully me at all in regards to what I wanted to do and pay for. To those that say otherwise just speak up. I am a very passive person and I didn't feel bullied at all. Well back to Bridget. During my cleaning she always asked if I was OK and gave me signals for me to tell her if I needed her to stop. That by far shows me that she cared. So grateful to her for that since my teeth were being deep cleaned. As far as Dr. Bhushan, she is a delight. She did recommend some procedures. So I recently had my first checkup and cleaning with Dr. Amante. I'm extremely pleased with their office! Very clean and everyone is super nice. I previously had a horrible dentist who was careless and didn't fix my teeth properly. Dr. Amante has an excellent plan to fix my teeth and I'm happy to finally find a dentist office that I'm comfortable with! And I also found out that he is an orthodontist as well which is awesome! Its hard to find an all-in-one dentist anywhere. read more

I had been going to Lisle dental center for a while with no issues but I had only ever received a cleaning in the past and no real work on my teeth until the spring of 2017... that's when I realized I needed to switch dentists asap!!!! They told me I had a couple of cavities on my left side and showed me a treatment plan to sign off on getting the work done and I did. Dr. Amante completed the fillings and I was told AFTER he was done that he found another cavity and just went ahead and filled it in and now I owe them an additional $100, even though he filled it w/o my permission and it was not on my treatment plan. Prior to having the fillings done I had NO pain on my left side, I just got the work done because they said I had cavities. After getting the fillings done I had EXCRUCIATING pain on my left side for MONTHS. I couldn't chew on that side or drink/eat anything cold. I went in TWICE to have my fillings adjusted and it NEVER got better. I refused to pay the additional $100 for the unauthorized filling until they could fix my mouth and the receptionist basically wanted to argue me down about the money and didn't want to let me leave without paying...even though this was my second visit to fix botched fillings that still hurt. I have so much more to say but long story short I won't be back, I found an AWESOME dentist in Naperville and she has started fixing the mess they created in my mouth a year ago. The two stars I gave are for their hygienist... she does a good job. read more

Lisle Dental Center: A New Way to do the Dentist Thing! Yes, this slogan is that of my own invention, but is also the best way I can sum up my experience. I have never felt such comfort visiting the dentist as I did when I came to Lisle Dental Center. The technology, the thorough attention and evaluation I received, and the luxurious treatment that consistently relaxed me while I was getting fillings done all compelled me to sit down at my computer, and applaud Dr. Bhushan and everyone there via Yelp Review. My first visit to Lisle Dental Center, the experience was certainly different from anything I'd ever had at the dentist. I walked in, and felt immediately relaxed and calm by the pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I received an x-ray of my teeth that took very little time and effort on my part, unlike many experiences I've had with x-rays in the past. I was then brought back into the typical dentist room with the chair, and the tools... but, installed just above me was a flatscreen TV! The room was bright, decorative, and not at all the dull, painful mood you expect at the dentist. I was given the option to choose what we watched, including anything on Netflix, as I sat down in the state-of-the-art "dentist chair" (I'm not sure what the technical name is) which was terribly comfortable and not at all stiff or fidgety. Looking back, I didn't feel nearly as anxious as I expect to at the usual visit to the dentist, but this thought wasn't consciously in my mind, because I hardly even felt I was at the dentist at all (except for when I was blown away by the knowledge every employee had about the way my mouth works). I totally connected with and got along with the staff at all three visits. The second time, they even operated on me while I watched my favorite Broadway show on Netflix, something I'd never expect to be watching while getting fillings done. In all honesty, I would never expect someone to even tolerate my taste in Netflix programming, much less enjoy and ask questions about it. They were genuinely interested in me, which made the experience so much better. I'm telling you, the comfort aspect is essential, and I'd never realized I could look forward to going to the dentist, and relaxing during the experience. The numbing was efficient, the fillings were painless, and the people were kind and friendly. I will most definitely be returning, and I hope you check it out, as well. read more

Went here with my husband back in April. Everything seemed fine until we started getting bills....randomly. They were muddled with dates, fees, credits, charges, etc and were always arriving well past the date when we originally went in to see the doctor. Most recently, the last time I was in to see them was June 2015. Today, TODAY, February 8th, we receive a bill for $136 because apparently insurance didn't cover my fillings at 80% like promised. Now, I understand that sometimes there can be discrepancies between billing and insurance but this is obscene. You people wait 7 months to come up with a bill and, on top of it all, the due date is February 15th....you give me 1 week to pay this? Fuck that. I am fed up with their shitty billing. When I called the first time about our jumbled bill, they didn't call me back for several days. That's unprofessional. It was explained that the woman who does the billing is out, but that's unacceptable. SOMEONE else must be able to sit down and explain benefits/charges/insurance/etc to a customer. When she did get back to me, it was a crappy, half-assed explanation of how they billed it the first time and apparently they tried but it was not accepted as the same billing this time. That explains nothing to me. It does, however, show me that you are confused about how to properly bill something to insurance. Thankfully we have switched to a new provider who is thorough and competent with their clients. I will never recommend your practice. read more
