Horrid service. Receptionist Jamie is probably the rudest receptionist you will ever meet/talk to. Ended the call on me twice when I asked her a simple question. Dr. Chang and his staff are very friendly. I left this practice because my experience was painful with the creation and installation of a bridge for the lower left side due to a tooth extraction. The first bridge was created in house by Dr. Change and the teeth were larger than my original teeth. He attempted to install it anyway by making adjustments to other teeth on the upper left side of my mouth attempting to make it fit until I refused further adjustments. He then noticed the size of the teeth for the bridge was bigger than my normal teeth. The next bridge went out to the lab of which it came back the right size. Again he made adjustments to other teeth on the upper left side for the bridge to fit. Two things happened with the upper adjustments. The shape and size of the teeth changed drastically whereas my mouthguard would no longer fit. When I brought it to his attention he wanted to charge me for a new one. After I refused to pay for a new mouthguard and communicated my dissatisfaction with the discomfort and pain I experienced not to mention adjustments to other teeth he should not have touched he agreed to replace the mouthguard. Dr. Chang explained his reasons for adjusting the teeth on the upper level. My response was In all my years of having dental work done I have never had a dentist make so many adjustments to other teeth that were not part of the work to be done so much so that it changed the shape and bite. After reading the response from the dental office and their comment that "It is unfortunate that you decided to attempt to make us sound like our level of dentistry is subpar compared to others." That was not my intent yet I told the truth about my experience. Take the feedback and learn from it. I learned from my experience with your office. read more

Dr. Chang is a true professional and excellent dentist. His practice is in a great location and my visits have always been pleasant. Dr. Chang recently helped fit me for a mouthguard to help keep me from grinding my teeth and also to assist in easing my snoring which had become quite loud over the years. The fitting went great and I could not be happier with the results as my snoring volume has been reduced by a solid 95%. I will definitely be returning for future visits. read more

Dr. Chang and his staff have given me the best dental care I have ever received. I have seen approximately 10 or so dentists in my last 15 years. I have had issues with poor facilities, rude/indifferent staff, shoddy workmanship, and perhaps worst of all, having the dentist try to up-sell unnecessary procedures. Dr. Chang and his staff are extremely professional and you can tell they genuinely care for your well being and health. You can tell when a professional is being honest with you and when they are trying to sell you. I can tell Dr. Chang values honesty and his patient's best interest. Best of all, his workmanship is fantastic. I have had cleanings, several cavities filled and crowns put in by Dr. Chang and his staff and I can tell the quality of the work by the feel of the work, the time put in and the extreme attention paid to detail. Dr. Chang did everything possible to get me in and used a new system called CEREC that literally placed my crown in one visit and I was done. My family and I just started visiting this practice and I'm extremely happy with it. Their hygienists are top notch and very good at what they do. Dr Lu understands what the patient wants and how to balance health with a strict budget and truly makes you feel at home and at ease with his compassion. Their hours are flexible and even offer evening and weekend appointments, which is a rarity these days. They do a great job working with my insurance company so that all that nonsense is handled without me having to get involved and are very reasonable priced. I had Invisalign done by another dentist a few years ago. I went to Dr. Chang to get some veneer work done. Dr. Chang reviewed the work done by the other dentist and was able to determine that I still had some major bite issues that my prior dentist did not make me aware of. Dr. Chang took the time to explain what was going on and recommended me to an orthodontist who helped me resolve my bite problems. I appreciated that Dr. Chang took the time to care about my previous work rather than just doing the veneer work and leaving me with more problems down the road. Since then, I've switched dentists to Dr. Chang and use him for all my cleanings and other work. I've used Dr Chang for the past year now and he has been nothing but helpful when I go to see him. He greets me as I walk in and takes the time to ask how I'm doing. Both he and his staff are professional, courteous, and friendly. I have had extensive dental work in the past, some of which was done incorrectly. I was reluctant to find a new provider, and avoided work for a few years due to this. I was pleasantly surprised by Dr. Chang and his staff. They are knowledgeable, pleasant, and generally, quite wonderful. He referred me to an excellent endodontist for a root canal, and his work on the crown was fantastic. I wish Dr. Chang had done all my other dental work from the past ten years. Dr. Chang and his staff are very personable, very knowledgeable and are not in the sales business. This was my first visit and I will be back. My previous dentist had recommended that I needed a crown and that he would recommend 'premium' materials that were just a couple hundred more than what insurance would cover. Bollocks. Dr. Chang said to keep an eye on it, look for specific signs that we need to take action, and play it by ear until my next visit. I like the conservative approach. They're out for the patient, not for the upsell. read more

Dr. Chang is a terrific dentist. I came in with a tough issue that he corrected with a lot of work and patience. He can always get you in pretty quickly. The office is very nice, with state-of-the art equipment, but without lots of ginger-bread like waterfalls, etc. His rates a reasonable and his staff are very friendly. Recommended. read more

The Doctor is nice and the staff was friendly. That was after the first visit and I had a cleaning. The issue is I had to go in there twice after to get a night guard. They admitted it was incorrect the first time, however, upon the second visit, they made it seem like it was my fault. I found another dentist who showed me that they were using an inferior and substandard resin. I got annoyed with them to the point that I forgot to cancel my check-up and got charged a $25 fee. That's my fault....I couldn't believe how badly they reacted after my first visit. Needless to say, they lost a client. read more

Let's face it, no one likes dentists. As a child you learn that all they do is bring pain in places that you never knew existed, but at Naperville Crossings, this was not the case. I've never had a dentist that took such care in my comfort and needs as Dr. Lu. From the comfortable new agey seats, to access to the TV while you're being cleaned or checked out, the facilities are great. I'm not the biggest yelper in the world, but I thought that this was worth writing a review, because now I'm not so afraid to see the dentist anymore, and if Dr. Lu can sway that feeling of fear to comfort than he deserves some kudos. If you're looking, look no further. If you've already had one, you're probably being over charged at your current dentist. (Like I was). read more

Super in every way! I thought Dr. Lu and his staff were extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I have had a checkup, a cleaning, and a crown, and Dr. Lu and his assistants were very sensitive about making sure my experience was a positive one, by constantly checking to see if I was comfortable. The billing is quick and efficient, and the pricing is very reasonable. I would highly recommend Naperville Crossings Dental and Dr. Lu! Update 11/11/16 - Dr. David Chang has been the dentist here for a couple years now, and his service and the staff are just as good as ever. I am a very happy client of Naperville crossings dental. It is unusual to find such an honest dentist who truly seems to be looking out for your best interests. I once went to a dentist who was trying to scare me into getting a night guard and other stuff that totaled a whopping $900 worth of service. I was skeptical and got a second opinion from Dr. Chang, who reassured me that the service was excessive and unnecessary. He is straightforward and very clearly details the state of your teeth and what, if any, work needs to be done. I find he is conservative with his treatment and doesn't try to swindle you into services that are unnecessary. The other perks are excellent facilities, clean and modern, and wonderful staff. HORRIBLE, BEYOND HORRIBLE DENTIST, RUN, RUN, AWAY. Dr. David Chang skill level is sub par, he did a simple filling and it was awful, he and his staff refused to even redo their work. My wife had a crown done which she had to go back to Dr. Chang at least 6 times because his work caused her great pain and discomfort, they are callous and truly out for the money. I hate going to the dentist; in fact, it makes me quite anxious because of a traumatic experience with a past dentist which resulted in permanently damaged nerves. I also hate writing yelp reviews but decided Dr. Chang and his staff more than deserved one after my amazing experience with them. I went in for a regular cleaning which normally lasts 20-30 minutes at other dental offices, but my cleaning was a full hour (probably due to all the poor dental work I've had in the past) because Brenda, my dental hygienist, took the time to meticulously and gently clean my teeth and gums. She was not only thorough, but she carefully explained what she would be doing each time. Honest to God, I have never had such a satisfying cleaning in my life! (It makes me mad to think about all the crappy dental work I've had prior to this.) After Dr. Chang took a look at my teeth, he recommended that we keep an eye on certain teeth because they might become problematic. This approach was so different from other dentists who are so quick to perform more work on you, even though it's not always necessary. I really appreciate Dr. Chang's integrity and professionalism. After one cleaning I am hooked, and for once in my life, I am looking forward to my next dental appointment! I cannot recommend this practice highly enough!! read more

They are there just to make money and don't really care for their clients, I got my cavity filling done here. Everything was fine at the first visit. Only when I found that filling wasn't done properly. And was very sensitive to hot/ cold food and while brushing. I tried to book the appointment for 2 of my children and myself. When I reached there at the appointed time they said appointment was only for my children and not for me. Then I asked them to take me in as it was really painful, and if they need to can reschedule for children as it was only their 6 months visit and nothing very urgent. They denied to take me in, as they wanted to make more money by checking my children. And they said they can not see me but only see my children. Mr Chang was extremly rude in talking and bu that time I didn't even want my children to be seen by such a rude dentist. And he said he will charge me $50. Party on that free 50 dollars you made Mr Chang. Never visiting this place again. So awful. Horrible experience. Zero customer service. Lousy job done on teeth. So find a better place where you get good service both for dental and customer service. I think all 5 star review given are from friends and family... huh!!! Don't get fooled as I did. read more

Amazing experience. Dr. Chang took my old crown off my front tooth (done by a dentist in another state that had been causing inflammation and pain) and perfectly placed a new crown, matching color and size. His attention to detail was outstanding along with all of his staff. They made me feel so comfortable and with the technology this office has I had a new crown placed in the same appointment. As a child, my parents worked hard to earn money so I could then squander it on frivolities. They bought me braces, made my smile quite stunning, and then I left the nest at age 18, and promptly took really, really bad care of my teeth for 15 yrs. I had cavities, and on top of those pits of decay, I had more cavities. I had gaping holes in my smile where past cavities had fallen out. A halloween jack-o-latern once saw me and remarked, "That dude has some wonky teeth!" Upon moving to Naperville, I found saving grace in the form of Dr Jeffrey Lu at Naperville Crossing Dental. Dr Jeff and his friendly, competent staff provide outstanding patient care in state of the art facilities- all the while talking the patient through any process and making sure that your comfort is their utmost concern. Dr Jeff has a deft touch and made the process of fixing my teeth painless. I now feel confident enough to eat an apple, after gorging on corn on the cob, while downing salt-water taffy. I am happy to have found a dentist I can stick with for the long haul, and I am also happy to say that my entire family will soon be patients of Dr Lu. This place is a very good experience all around. You start with their intake person, Tanya, is very helpful and nice. Then, Rachel, their dental assistant, is very friendly and comforting. Finally, the doctor, Jeffrey Lu, is skilled, attentive, polite, and personable. He takes his time to connect with you, explains things well, and treats your concerns. I've been to many dentists over the years, but I will be sticking with Dr. Chang. Why? Because the first time I met with him, I informed him of my previous dentist's recommendation and he immediately educated me on why that treatment would both be more expensive and less effective/beneficial than the treatment he was suggesting for me. Right there, he earned my trust. He's good at what he does and he makes you feel comfortable (because even though no one likes visiting the dentist, his casual and pleasant demeanor makes it enjoyable). But most importantly to me, his expertise, honesty, and transparency tells me that he cares about his patients and that I will always get quality care without trying to be cheated.
