I've watched his teaching and training style with his students. He stresses defensive techniques and teaches his students to only use their karate only to defend themselves against aggressors. The classes for younger children that my son attends have a good mix of instruction and activities to keep the kids engaged and active. They have a nice area for parents to sit and for my daughter who is not yet old enough for karate to play while her brother trains. I have done martial arts for years and TOKPV came recommended. Looking at the curriculum I can see why. It is a real quality art and the dojo has a family feel to it. They teach good values of hard work and responsible use of the karate.
