I bought a 16-class private lesson package for my one-year old daughter to learn the ISR method. She is comfortable in the water and we have a pool, so the survival skills were our priority. Our first instructor was patient but very unreliable. She rescheduled over half of her classes. The burden of constantly rescheduling was frustrating but, more importantly, the major gaps in her lessons went against their recommendation to have 3-4 classes per week for effective progress. When I did try to reschedule, there was confusion from the person/people scheduling on availability and what they had previously committed to. They also made a couple of suggestions that went against what they recommended as best practice. For example, when the instructor tried to reschedule her last lesson they suggested she "double up" on lessons. Having a one-year old in a 40-minute class is not good for the child or effective. It turns out that this instructor was let go and that was their solution...choosing what is best for the instructor versus the safety and comfortability of the child... Additionally, I had to ask multiple times for someone to call me (and left multiple voicemails). Customer service should be more responsive with an issue of this caliber and quality should be monitored knowing some of the recommendations were inconsistent and incorrect. With 2 classes left, eventually, we were switched to a new instructor, Izzy. I quickly realized that our first instructor was not using the ISR method and did not focus on the right things. Izzy was great - should have had her the whole time, I think our daughter would be prepped with the right survival skills. Having this lack of consistency across instructors (without any option to select between them before we were assigned the first instructor), is a major red flag for this company. Overall, we spent a substantial amount of time, energy (our poor little one cried the whole time), and money for little to no added benefit. read more

First instructor threw my son in the pool causing major trauma for an activity he loved, the second one had to work hard to get him to trust her. then we had many cancellations for the instructor being sick on vacation then the rain and storms, then flu season started, and my little one got sick, this is when they said we would have to wait until April for makeup sessions, I have a heated pool. My experience has been awful with this company, the instructor also complained that the company hasn't paid them for their classes, and they don't communicate well. Requesting a refund for the issues and the classes we didn't have. I don't recommend this company at all. my son is worse than he started.... read more

Misleading information, poor communication, and unfulfilled lessons I am not one to post negative reviews, and have been very patient with this company from the start. I had high hopes for Little Aquatics after seeing multiple post on social media which advertised that they offer scholarships and would come to your home or community pool. I was approved for the Every child a swimmer scholarship and was initially told lessons could be held at a home pool, which was a major reason I signed up. However, at the last minute, I was told I had to go to their "south orlando location" which turned out to be the apartment complex where the instructor lives instead (ODD). They said that due to scholarship funding, they were unable to travel to me--something that was never communicated upfront. We only received 8 out of the 12 lessons. The instructor said he'd be off Monday and Tuesday and would see us Wednesday, but never showed up. I called and texted multiple times with no response. I also emailed Little Aquatics and was told the instructor would reach out, but that never happened. There was no accountability or follow-up. Owners and instructors should be straightforward and honest from the beginning, especially when working with children and families. While I'm grateful for the opportunity to participate through a scholarship, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Little Aquatics based on what I went through. read more

I had a good coach for my kids but because she asked for more money from the company, they told her not to come to my children anymore and they would send a new coach. I received a text from a new coach to tell me she will teach my children, I called the company and they lied and said the original coach moved and will not able to teach my kids. They gave my information to the new coach without getting my permission of sharing my information and without asking if it's ok for me to get a new coach. they are dishones, I don't recommend this company to anyon. read more

Im not sure how anyone could give this company 5 stars. The communication between our instructor and the office was terrible. Our instructor changed at least 3x. Beyond weather issues, there were way too many cancellations. Most of these were same day cancellations (even a few minutes before our swim class). Whats worse is that our "rescheduled" classes were even canceled. What should have been a 5-week course turned into 10+ weeks before we decided to ask for a refund. This is our time we are devoting to this-- and communication just should have been better. My toddler learned absolutely nothing. Don't waste your money. read more

Very unprofessional! Be aware don't enrolled your kids in swimming classes with this company. I was so excited for my kids to learn how to swim. I choose them because of the convenience of them Going to my house. So I enrolled my kids after they confirm that they will have an instructor available for the days I requested, then I got an email within less than few days from the classes to start saying that they did not have an instructor available. So we have to postpone until they found an instructor weeks later. Coach Liza was really sweet however she did not seem to have experience teaching kids on how to swim. Few classes later I expressed my concern that my kids were not learning anything, so I switch to coach David. Coach David is really nice and knowledgeable about teaching kids on how to swim. I made the switch to David after they told me that he was going to have availability after 3pm M-F. A week after starting with David they told me that he doesn't have the availability the next week so I have to adjust my schedule to their schedule but the think is that they were not too many option to choose from. They only gave me Tuesday at 3pm and Wednesday at 2:45 take it or leave it. Also every week there is a lot of cancellation from them. I have to keep up with them thru email and phone calls every week reschedule because every week there is a change to their schedules and them I have to adjust mine because they don't know how to make an schedule. Update, I got an email telling me that they cancelled the swimming lessons and refunded the unused classes however I did not request a cancellation. I bought the 16 lesson package. My kids has used 8 lessons already. I should get refunded half of what I pay right? But no instead they want to charge me for the 8 lesson at the 6 lesson package rate instead of the 16 lesson package rate. It has been 8 lessons already my kids has not learn Anything, not even floating. This company is an Scam. Once you buy the package, they never has instructor and when they find an instructor, the instructor you have to adjust to the schedule they have available, there is no workaround. They lie about their availability. Not all instructor are knowledgeable. If you lucky you may get a good instructor, but if you don't you are stuck. The instructor we had was very kind and patient. The company itself, however, was difficult to work with. There were a good amount of cancellations and while I understand sickness and injuries happen, I was told less than an hour before the lesson began multiple times. I also really had to stay on top of them, via email since that was the only way they would communicate with me, on rescheduling and verifying (often times reverifying) swim times. In the end, I requested a refund for half our lessons because the rescheduling would have gone into the next month when we were out of town and I felt like it wasn't worth the time of constantly rescheduling and changing my kids' daily/weekly schedules. If you choose to use this company be prepared to be very flexible and involved with scheduling. read more

This company is a total money grab and I'm disappointed I wasted $400 on their services, or lack thereof. We paid $400 for 16 semi private lessons. Our first instructor went out due to an emergency. I can understand that's unforeseen, however, we were never given any updates or offered to go back to her, just given new instructors/days/times. We found someone new we and our girls (both 1.5 years old) liked, but it was starting entirely over again with a new instructor. We had to get in the pool with them to calm them (at the suggestion of the instructor) to establish trust with the new instructor. By the time the girls were warmed up to her, we were told within less than 36 hours of their next scheduled class that it would be their last as that instructor had to go back to school. We only have 3 more classes and again, have to start with a new instructor. Our girls have not improved at all. Can not float, certainly cannot swim and the company refuses to issue complimentary lessons to make up for all the time lost. I've asked several times for a manager/owner to reach out and they will not-they will only communicate via email. Had I wanted to get in the pool and do all the instructing myself, I would have paid 1/10th the cost and gone to my gym's group class. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Reply to your message: I can't do anything that was earlier than 7:15pm, that was what I told him yesterday when he tried to reschedule the schedule with me. Not only did she help my son learn how to swim better and safely, she excelled at motivating him to practice and gain confidence when we struggled to keep his attention. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING Marissa was with both of my children! The progress that was made in just (8) 30 minute lessons was astonishing. Marissa was always on time, showed up happy & has such a wonderful talent working with children. My 7 year old learned so many strokes and is now able to swim confidently across the entire pool, in proper form. Where as before he would bob up and down every 5 seconds trying to catch his breath. My 3 year old daughter had never had a lesson before and ALWAYS wore floats in the pool before we started lessons with Marissa. She is now using proper strokes and swimming across an entire pool BY HER SELF! She loves swimming and telling everyone she is a real life mermaid now : ) These lessons were worth every single penny spent and more! DO NOT ENROLL. They will purposely ignore your calls once they have your money. I paid $350 for my 2 year old to take 12 classes. The instructor, Cara, stopped showing up after 6 classes which was concerning. Then when she continuously ignored me, I got in touch with the company and they agreed to return half of the money. After that call, they would not answer the phone or respond to any of my messages. Over a month later, I've been calling constantly and yet they still chose to ignore me until I threatened to take legal action. After leaving several voicemails in one day and being fed up, they refunded the money without even returning a call. This company is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Also, the classes they provide are very minimal. They do the same exercises every time and my daughter really didn't learn anything that they promised. A waste of time and money. read more

Would not recommend. Terrible customer service and extremely rude teacher. We booked swim lessons with this company two months ago. We are supposed to start this morning. I confirmed earlier this week that it was going forward as scheduled. The company confirmed that it was and provided me the instructors number. I called Maureen to just introduce myself and she was extremely rude and berating me about how she lives out of my area and wouldn't be able to do my lessons. Completely dumbfounded I asked why she is telling me this and not the company. She advised she did that and then hung up on me. I immediately called little aquatics and left two voicemails. No one called me back but I instead got an email response basically saying they could not accommodate us and that they would be refunding me. Never did anyone apologize or even call me. I fully expect a manager or owner to call me this morning although I am not holding my breath. Absolutely terrible customer service. You should have offered another solution or done anything in your power to ensure your customer is satisfied and go forward with the lesson. You did none of those things and instead just refunded me in hopes I'll go away quietly. I won't. I will be leaving this review on every site. You shouldn't be cancelling on the day of the lessons! What a great Idea for a business. Having the instructors coming to your house to be able to teach your toddler to swim. With every bit of research we have read about swim lessons for a child consistency is the most important thing. My wife and I had trouble dealing with our instructor. She was often late, and both my wife and I both work, so we would get a text an hour before saying hey running late. We also had a few lessons cancelled because our instructor either was over scheduled, or sick. I called to discuss with the manager, and they said they will not refund our money. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The manager told me that i do not understand how business works. Little Aquatics management and instructors are not dependable, and now we have to find another company and start over. Please do yourself a favor and find another company. read more

If you are raising a child in Florida this is the best investment you can make. My 4 year old only had couple of classes and is doing amazing. Miss Samantha B. Is her teacher. Miss Samii makes sure my daughter overcomes her fears but is very gentle at the same time. We both love love love those classes. Fun way to gain life long skills!. We asked for a fun and engaging instructor and that is exactly what we received!!! I had a great experience with Little Aquatics. I had a little trouble getting the registration submitted and scheduling the lessons, but that isn't what is most important. The instructor, Marissa, did a fabulous job with my 16 month old son. She was punctual, positive, and worked great with small children. As expected, he cried most of the first lesson and screamed "mama" non-stop. By the last lesson, he was smiling to see Marissa at the pool, saying "Rissa" and swimming like a little fish.
