I will say, my 3 year old has not moved up a level in nearly a year. My 6 year old has only moved up one level. When my 6 year old was moved up a level, my 3 year old was at least as skilled a swimmer by their metrics. My 6 year old has progressed past him since moving to level 4, but it looks like my 3 year old is also ready for that growth and is being held back (because of his age?). I have asked the teachers what he needs to work on to move up and the answer has changed every single week. My kids love the lollipop at the end of each lesson! They also have a Keurig available for parents. Plenty of seating and floor to ceiling windows viewing the pool. This is not ISR, it is slow and steady traditional swimming lessons.

She later came back at around 18 months for swim float swim. Currently taking a "refresher" classes (at 2 years old), for a week, to maintain skills with body growth and new skills. There's a reason I keep coming back... Kelly not only knows what she is doing, but she is very attentive to my kid's cues, takes my worries into consideration and always is very detailed in explaining what to expect and what is going on. Kelly knew how to not only reassure my kid, but also reassure a first time mama. Kelly is always a text message away and is very compassionate, knowledgeable, serious about her job and also knows how to joke around (added plus!). Ms. Skyler is a sweet teacher for the younger kids, Ms. Jess has been a wonderful teachers when our baby was in the twos room, Ms. Kita and Ms. Naya are great at creating routines and structure in the older room. Ms. Salomie and Ms. Wanda are the sweetest and most welcoming teachers. Megan has been a shining beacon in gaining insight on what management is working on and bridging any gaps between parents and staff. The teachers are all very sweet, positive attitudes and try their best to keep children engaged and progressing. They do activities, teach children to use the potty, teach cleaning up after meals, washing hands, taking turns in play, singing and dancing. Our son, like most children I imagine, goes through tough days and good days but I think everyone there truly wants the kids to thrive and so we work as a team to communicate and keep it positive. No system is perfect but communication and live camera access are wonderful things that ensure the children are priority. We even met parents that are now friends of ours and we meet outside of school to have the kids all play. My only critique on the structure is I wish the teachers had more support on cleaning. They do a great job but I think corporate should allocate funds for raises for all staff and for a floater to come in to help tidy so we get more fun time for the kids.

I have never had any issues with this ever before at his previous daycare. Well, his second day back he ended up getting a cut and a black eye basically from "falling" again. I decided to take that day off to watch the cameras to see if they were doing their jobs. I sat and sat and watched the camera. The teacher was grabbing the children(s) arms above the wrist as well as the upper arm and pulling them to sit down. I watch many times the teacher(s) not paying attention and I watched a younger child laying on the floor and then another little girl stomping as hard as she could on his hands, back, and stomach. If that were my son I would have drove down in a heartbeat. I was so excited to enroll him in this daycare however THIS location IS NOT IT. Those two days he was there my child came back home starving literally crying because he was so hungry and thirsty and every time I even drove in the parking lot he would start screaming and crying and saying no no no... I have never ever had any issues like this before. On top of that him being in there 2 days I still paid his daycare fee for the two weeks which is above 300 dollars and they did not offer any composition after stating to me that they would work with me while I got my ELC transferred. Not saying that I need it, but it would have been nice of them to accommodate due to everything that happened. Please mommy's be cautious.

My two sons attended StarChild since June of 2022. When I went in to pick up our kids yesterday…read more(12/21/22), I received a booboo report to sign that Ms. Zuly scratched my 3 yo's arm causing him to bleed in classroom Preschool C. He had a bandaid over it so I didn't see the extent of the damage while there. Removing his bandaid for his bath showed my husband and I both a gouged out section that is not just a scratch. It is a clear scar of a full curved thumbnail from her digging so hard and deep into his skin to draw blood and leave behind such a wound. She claims she was hugging him but that would not result in the purposefully caused laceration she has inflicted the inner portion of such a small child's forearm. I have pictures to document the physical harm and the center had camera recordings of the room. They refused to let me see the footage from what she did and what other actions she may have taken against my son. StarChild claimed they didn't have video but calling th actual camera provider proved that all plans included cloud storage. StarChild refused to provide contact information until I spoke with the regional director - Liz Reece. I left a voicemail at 8am. Then called back at 9am. I finally spoke with her at 10:19am. She then drove to the location and said she spoke with the teacher and others who may have been in the room yesterday. Ms. Zuly claimed to have no idea that she caused this injury despite it being such a deep wound to draw blood. Ms. Liz "provided coaching" and when the location director got back from vacation at the end of the next week, more "coaching" occurred. This is absolutely unacceptable. For a teacher to cause injuries to a child and for a company to then pretend that "coaching" of a few minutes was sufficient is ridiculous. The only repercussion for the teacher was that she got a letter in her file stating that she needs to build stronger relationships with parents. DCF got involved and even the worker said an injury, such as the one inflicted on my son, was not possible accidentally. If you send your child to this facility, be aware they don't care about your child or their safety.

By day 3, our daughter came home with two finger nails completely ripped off, and fingers that were very red. It was clear that she smashed her fingers during the day, but the daycare had zero incident reports or any information on what happened. Knowing our daughter, she would have screamed her head off, in pain. On day 5, we started watching the cameras more closely because our daughter refused to enter the classroom anymore. That was out of character. We noticed that she was not eating lunch, yet the teachers marked her eating the "entire lunch" even though they removed the plate full. On day 6 is when we pulled her. During nap time, I witnessed one of the teachers grab her, use force to push her onto a mat, and threw a blanket on top of her. I could see my daughter crying through the video. When I arrived 2 hours later, the rest of the kids were playing, but my daughter was still on the mat, traumatized, and still crying. If you need a quick place to start daycare, and have ZERO options, then I would say to stay away. Your kids are safer anywhere but here. There are other daycares that are cheaper, with much better quality.

The indoor pool will be a must when summer comes around and it seems as though we live on the surface of the sun. I enjoy working out, but often have a hard time finding the time away from my baby; this class made it possible for me to get in a surprisingly good low-impact workout while my sweet girl laughed and giggled the whole time! We plan on adding to our family later this year and this pool workout will be perfect for pregnancy. I'm so glad I heard about Aqua Belly! The instructor is a mom too and you can tell that she is passionate about this program.
