Ventured out to try a new coffee shop today, and I'm disappointed that I did. In terms of location, this place has a lot going for it. And, the fact that they sell Holcomb Hollow goodies was awesome. But just about everything else was lacking. I found the staff behind the counter to be gruff and unpleasant. Everything moved at a snails pace; I couldn't believe that a simple cold brew coffee (black) took 10 minutes. The shop is very artistic and has a lot to take in (in terms of decor, things for sale, etc.). It was overwhelming. There is a lot of seating area and separate rooms to congregate in, but even in poking my head in to look around, I received looks that felt territorial and unwelcoming. My coffee was fine, but really nothing to write home about. Not at all interested in trying this place again. read more

Needed a cappuccino. Ordered a scone to go with. Wise choice. It was very lemony with plenty of blueberries. It was so good, I was contemplating another or one of the other three flavors: Mango-pineapple, Orange-cranberry, or Chocolate chip. My large cappuccino came with a lot of fluffy milk foam. I have been here before and never been disappointed. Try it yourself! Still here after a couple hours so, I order the Popeye: Eggs, Spinach, Provolone and Pesto on an Everything Bagel. Definitely more of a 3.5 star place than a 4 star place, but I guess I'll round up. Coffee was good, café itself is decorated nicely with lots of seating and even separate areas in other rooms for different parties to congregate without being overly noisy. The food was.. not particularly great. High prices and a long wait for a "grilled panini" sandwich that came out crispy on the outside, soggy in the middle, and resolutely room temperature throughout. Gross. read more

This place has now become a weekly treat for me. If I lived closer it would be a place to visit daily. The scones and drip coffee are my go to items. The coffee is always fresh and enjoyable. Also, the scones are creative and delicious. I have also enjoyed food items off the menu and they are consistently excellent as well. Most importantly the staff is friendly and attentive. Located in the art of downtown Antioch, this cute coffee shop is worth a visit on a lazy Sunday morning. Plenty of street parking around the area with some outdoor seats available to sit at on a nice day. I ordered a Honey Oat Latte. It was a little bit on the sweeter side for me (and let me tell you, I LOVE sweets lol) A little bit too sweet. I felt like I was drinking a super sweet honey tea. But it was good. While I was waiting for my coffee, I noticed they also sell a lot of their merch (mugs/ cups) and homemade items that are displayed out on the side tables. My visit to Little Bean Cafe was quick but very enjoyable. I stopped by last week with a friend who mentioned they recently opened in Downtown Antioch. We grabbed the Honey Oat Latte with an extra shot to make it a little less sweet. Solid cup of coffee. Will stop by soon to try more coffee options and breakfasts because they look delish. Cute little coffee shop in the downtown area! Lots of things to choose from on the menu, and there were food and pastries as well! We got a chai and a cold brew and enjoyed it in the sitting area. This place was awesome! I made the drive up to Antioch to check out a salon near by! Being the coffee addict that I am I had to stop in and I was happy I did! The shop looks like my dream coffee shop, specially being a student! Lots of room and quite space to study! The drink I ordered was so yummy! For it being just a honey oat milk latte. I also got a breakfast burrito and I was worried because my standards are a little high for burritos but it was actually pretty yummy! I just wish it came with salsa. I so much wanted to like this place. We tried it three or four times now. First time was great but the 3rd and 4th were disappointing despite three counter people and hardly any customers. It's artsy, the people behind the counter are cool looking coffee shop kids, but they don't listen to simple stuff about orders, like no onions or what kind of dressing. Simple stuff. Coffee is always cold, and they act surprised that it is. Glacial movement behind the counter. Poor social skills, they literally ask you the same question three times and then still get it wrong. I think it's poor training. It is a completely adorable place visually. Cozy and arty, just not managed well. The menu is great of they just got stuff right and kept the coffee hot. read more

I'm so glad I live in a place where there's a cute coffee shop with great coffee and treats! I've lived in Antioch a year and a half at this point and have only recently started to visit. I hate I waited so long! The staff is super friendly and seem to enjoy what they do and are always helpful every time I've been in for a drink. Walking in, this gives all the vibes of a truly local coffee shop with a place to hang out with a friend, talk for a while and relax. Ended up buying Oatmilk lattes. It was quite milky and we waited a bit for the ice to truly get the drink cold. The honey Oatmilk latte does have quite a sweet taste if you have a sweet tooth. Hoping to come back and try a standard coffee or some other drinks to have more of the true coffee taste. Overall, we had a great experience and it's a local find in Antioch, but we would've liked our lattes to have a little more coffee taste rather than the overpowering milk. read more

The cutest little coffee shop! I visited this shop before they changed their name and I enjoyed it, but now since they have made the business a little more modern I'm just in love with it. The inside is so nicely decorated and updated and they have tons of small business products for sale all over. The menu has so many options for both food and drinks, they also have an ice cream cooler. They put on tons of events weekly for adults and kids. I recently attended a Halloween event (i think spooks and sips?) where they had spooky themed ice cream sundaes for sale. They have seasonal themed drinks as well, I got a fall latte called sweater weather and it was delicious and something you can't get anywhere else! the workers were sweet and quick. Simply love this coffee shop! They have seasonal food & beverage menus as well as regular favorites. One of my favorite sandwiches is the chicken salad on a croissant with a honey oat milk & lavender latte. The staff is always pleasant. They've come to know my pups & happily offer them pup cups, water & pets as we enjoy their outdoor seating. Our family absolutely loves Little Bean! It was one of the first local businesses we had an opportunity to try when we moved to Antioch and now it's one of our favorite places to grab a drink or a quick bite to eat. Great menu, and the seasonal menu is always delicious and fun. I haven't had a bad item yet. Service has always been top notch, everyone is always friendly and helpful. It's such a cute place, great ambiance and very clean and homey feeling. Great place to hang out with friends and family, with quiet areas if you prefer to read or work. I also love that they have a fun selection of merchandise, I found several Christmas gifts around the holidays when I stopped in to grab a coffee. I thought this was a new cafe since I'd never seen it in its current location before, but from reading the older reviews, I'm assuming they just moved. In this new location, you'd never know they were there because there is absolutely nothing on the outside of the building letting you know there's a business there. Not even a sign on the door. If they're in the midst of getting a new outdoor sign, you'd think they could at least put a sign on the door. I only found out about this place via word of mouth. That said, the inside of this place is totally charming with its various rooms with different types of tables and mismatched chairs. There's bookcases and credenzas all over the place with tchotchkes and used books for sale. But here's the other strange thing: there is no sign or any indication that the books are for sale. Me and my friend were wondering if the books were for browsing while we were there, or if it was like one of those Little Free Libraries where you can take a book and then next time you come back, either bring the book or another one to keep the place stocked. It wasn't until I asked at the counter that I found out the books were for sale. I have no idea how much they are - I didn't look inside any of the books. I had an herbal iced tea and a turkey wrap, both of which were very good. I liked that the wrap was lightly toasted on both sides. And the havarti cheese in the wrap wasn't just a slice of deli cheese, it was a thicker rectangle of cheese down the middle of the wrap. Great place to relax and unwind with a coffee or tea, perhaps a light lunch or to get together with friends. Noticed there was a lovely fireplace with comfy chairs by it, so that will be wonderful in the winter. read more
