What a charming little cafe! We have been on a roll of trying new coffee shops near us and this time it was the latte cafe! It was so fun to find it on a corner like a standalone house with a full parking lot. They also have an enclosed patio which I can only imagine would be so fun during the summer. We got the cherry cordial cold brew, and the matcha flight. The cold brew was good, it had the hints of cherries with in. I loved the matcha flight, honestly the vanilla matcha as basic as that sounds was my absolute favorite but I cannot wait to try the chai flight! For breakfast I got the caprese sandwich and my husband got the breakfast burrito and we split it. Both were great, the caprese sandwich was delish! I keep thinking to myself I need to try to make that for breakfast now because it was that good! And for our sweet treat dessert we got the carrot cake whoopie. It was good but it felt like there was too much cake to the filling ratio, I almost feel like it needed to be half the amount of cake. Overall a great experience! Such a cozy friendly little coffee shop! I've only ever had their coffee drinks but I LOVE the concept of the flights - it's such an easy concept that no one else is doing and they are executing perfectly. Also very fun for the kids with lemonade and hot chocolate flights. I've been here for coffee on our way up to Wisconsin as well as attended two different events. Overpriced and low quality. I came here twice and was disappointed twice. I had a latte, scone, and sandwich, which cost a whopping $23 with the "barista" quickly swiveling her touch screen at me for a tip (no one serves you here; you pick everything up at a counter btw). Matcha here is anemic off-white with half a hint of green, with my drink being mostly just milk and sugar. Earl gray scone was salty (likely too much baking soda) and caprese sandwich was just ridiculous (cheap "sourdough" straight out of a nursing home cafeteria with a single tomato and poorly melted cheese that was prepared in a nauseating amount of oil/butter). Most can make a better sandwich at home. For these prices, you better be able to at least be half as decent as Starbucks, and this "cafe and bakery" is just not even close. The area really needs higher quality options; this is below subpar for northern Illinois. read more

Absolutely loved this place. You walk in and order right away before sitting down. The inside is super cute and lots of room to find a spot to enjoy. The best lattes next to CA and to me that's a compliment. I live a half hour away and when I get the chance I will go get a brewed coffee or a Giardelli Frap with expresso . I like supporting local businesses by coming here, the food and drinks are decent though a bit overpriced. They need to invest in window shades though. When it's busy and you have to sit in the back with wall to wall windows, it gets insanely hot and uncomfortable at certain times of the day. When it's December and I can't enjoy my hot beverage because I'm sweating from all the direct sunlight, it makes it so unpleasant to stay. This is a nice small cafe/ bakery that is a very nice addition to the beautiful new Seqouit Creek Park in Antioch. Went here for lunch with my granddaughter after playing in the park. Delicious variety of sandwiches, snacks, and drinks are offered here. Only reason for 3 stars is we tried to go there for lunch on another day. The sign stated they were open and nobody was there. The sandwich was tiny and 8 dollars .. got a iced latte and I could tell by the grayish color something was off before I even tasted it...tasted like a bad iced coffee instead of a latte somehow maybe it was just a bad day but their was something off about every item I ordered. I am new to this place and have been there twice. I love the coffee and the sandwiches I ordered however they need to work on the cleanliness. The rugs at the entrance area haven't been vacuumed in ages. The young girl was sweeping the floor with a broom that looked like it had been there for 10 years. The staff is very welcoming, but the scenario when you walk in needs to be more sparkling, clean in my opinion. It just doesn't appear to be a clean environment, which makes me leery about what the kitchen is like. I will return, but please work on your appearance.! read more

Stopped for a quick bite after an errand. Cute place with a nice vibe and friendly service. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, ham, and bacon on an everything bagel. Would have been good if the bagel wasn't old and hard, at least the bottom half was. The top half was just old, so I just used the top half of the bagel. Egg, ham and bacon were really good. I would have gone up to ask for a refire but I was in a hurry. I'm guessing the bagel was at least 2 days old, minimum and definitely microwaved. Please don't serve old bakery. read more

We ordered carry out for lunch and were happy with our order. We got the pulled pork sandwich, turkey bacon panini, and caprese panini. All sandwiches come with a bag of chips and a pickle. Pulling into the cafe, wasn't quite sure if it was a business or Gramma's house. A low-key house turned into a cafe and bake shop. The spot was hoppin' with patrons coming and going. The interior is a rustic, cabin-feel coffee lounge with few modern accents. The kitchen and Cafe is hectic with staff creating coffee specialties and food but it doesn't take away from the chill vibe in the lounge and seated areas. There's a cozy space with plush couch and love seat. Some local art adorns a few walls. Then main seating and a short hall that snakes around into a dining room with a few more tables. The rest of the seating areas are a mix of two - four low, weighted tables with sturdy chairs. There's also patio seating just outside of the cafe station with direct line of sight between hosts counter and customers. I was in the area running errands and needed java. When I surfed local reviews I caught wind of breakfast sandwiches, so I was sold. I friggin' love me a good bfast sammy. They didn't disappoint. One of their main photos on Yelp looks like a standard breakfast sandwich on bagel. That isn't what I was intrigued with. There are also photos of breakfast panini sandwiches which are made with Texas toast. Ooh. I ended up getting a Jack and Guac adding on turkey sausage and a Caprese (style) with bacon. For two guys, this was a solid, all encompassing breakfast sandwich. All the ingredients married well and tastes were exciting. If there was any suggestion, I wish they could have used 'Pane Turano' sliced or a wide bread style that goes with panini making, rather than your typical sliced loaf. Unique finds; check out the art work which is for sale. I was mesmerized with a couple still life pieces. I was curious about their specialty coffee and fruit refresher flights. Multiple options and worth a trial if having the time to sit and chill a bit. There are plenty of options for specialty coffees, frozen coffees and baked goods. When we went i got a grilled cheese with bacon and it came with chips/pickle. My friend got a jalapeño grilled cheese (?), some kind of pepper , if memory serves, and she said it was fabulous! I got a strawberry lemonade to sip on while hanging out. Us gals sat outside and enjoyed our lunch, chit chatting in the beautiful summer air. On Saturday, I came here for lunch since it was a lovely sunny day. I love coming here when I am in town. Due to the virus pandemic, all orders must be placed at the window and then someone brings you your food to one of the outside tables on their porch area. The orders came in Styrofoam containers in a plastic bag. Perfect for eating on the go or enjoying on the porch. I ordered the caprese panini, which had fresh mozzarella, pesto, tomato, and balsamic dressing (somewhat sweet tasting). This place is a great local coffee shop! I've been here quite a few times and have had a great experience each time. We got a caramel macchiato, butter pecan latte (both iced) everything bagel panini, Californian. The drinks were great per usual. The pricing is average for a local coffee shop but the food was a little pricy. The food was average tasting, nothing too special but it was good for what it was.
