I am a student in College and I phoned Antioch's Early Learning Center to obtain information about…read morehow they market to get new clients. My main study of focus is Early Childhood to teach through K-3 which I have just about finished up. My minor is in business and after many emails and phone calls, I received a nasty phone call from the owner/director today. I am assuming by her tone, that she felt threatened by me providing/asking questions about how she handles the community at large. Her tone was very unprofessional, and very demeaning especially (what if I was a prospective client who wanted to know about the client's in which she serves)?
I am floored by her not really knowing who I am, and with many calls and even email, I would feel that she would call back in a professional tone. Especially, since I indicated my purpose of inquiry and gave my personal number as well as my email address.
Knowing this information about this center, I would not recommend anyone attending this business for childcare. If they treat a student or speak to a "student/child" like this, imagine the perception a child would feel with this tone and demeanor.
