I assumed I purchased the whole table, as it didn't say anything about the ticket being for a single admission or being for 1 seat at Table C3. I messaged them on Facebook a month prior trying to find clarification and was not responded to. When I arrived and was told it was for a single ticket and the show was sold out to talk to the front desk, the desk seemed annoyed and unwilling to help, but said they wouldn't be able to resolve it until everyone was sat for the show. We waited 45 minutes without updates before I asked for a refund. I was told only the ticketing site could provide a refund. I emailed the ticketing site and they said that the event organizers disabled refunds. I emailed Austin's and they said that it's my fault so they won't refund me. I get that it's my misunderstanding, but I did try and reach out prior without any response and the ticketing website provided no explanation. I've never been to an Austin's event before and hadn't had to buy tickets. I'd never bought tickets before where one seat said "table C3" instead of seat 1. Very disappointed. Will never be going back.

The space is big and you never felt claustrophobic despite the fact the place was pretty packed. We appreciated the fact you are seated at a table (at least for this band. I no longer enjoy standing for hours on end at a long rock show!). The bar is reasonably priced - a Lagunita's IPA was $6 or so. They seem to run the venue pretty well - no goony bouncers or shady staff lurking around. Stop in for a show if a band you like is playing here! The Vixen is a great music venue with good sound!

I recently had knee surgery so opted to buy a VIP Table in the balcony so I didn't have to stand all night. I was glad I did because the band played for over 2 hours and there was also a DJ. The venue itself is dated and carpet and furniture upstairs smells musty, like an older bar. However, the view and sound from the balcony were pretty good, and we had our own little dance party upstairs. It is a walk downstairs to use the bathroom, but we appreciated that there was a bar serving drinks upstairs. During a few parts of the concert, it sounded almost like the song started off key, and we kept seeing the vocalist tap his ear, so not sure if there was an audio issue. There is parking nearby, if you arrive early enough to get a closer spot. The employees here were working hard to get everyone inside, despite the long line. Drink service in the balcony was fast. There is no separate entry for VIP. Just one long line and once you get inside are then brought to your ticket area. In all, I would say we waited outside for close to 30 minutes before we got inside for bag and ID check.

It opens at 6pm, line dance lessons started at 8pm and again at 9pm but it was like 15 minutes long and the rest of the night they played songs for line dancing but I spent my time on the sidelines since I couldn't pick up on the steps fast enough. I wish the instructor was able to be on the stage to teach it was hard to see with the crowd that was there. It's a $10 cover charge to enter and then whatever you spend on drinks and food. It's a place people come to week after week. I'll come back after I go to YouTube to learn some more of the dances.

Parking couldn't be easier -- affordable parking is located literally about 50 feet from the entrance and it's only $10, which makes the whole experience even better. We paid under $100 for two Orchestra Row T seats, and since our row was empty, we moved to the middle for a better view. The show featured a full orchestra, lead singer David Jacobson, and two female vocalists. The first half highlighted Neil's softer songs, while the second half brought the energy with his bigger hits. For the price, it was a fun and enjoyable evening. We now attend at least 3 -4 events per year here!

The staff scanning tickets and the ushers are warm and welcoming. They were very helpful. All seats offer a great view. The first two rows cause you to loop up at the stage so I would recommend at least a few isles back. The shows they offer are diverse and plentiful. The more popular shows create a bit of traffic. There is street parking and a nearby parking garage.
