A cool spot for a lakeside drink. The is well-stocked and the bartenders friendly. We both found our cocktails to be a bit sweet so stuck to bubbles, which worked out perfectly because it was happy hour and they were $6 a glass. The decor is modern and chic - big fan of the artwork - but one negative is that even though they have a fire there's very minimal fireside seating. Just two stools? Ridiculous. Still there is lakeside seating, which is beautiful on a fine day! They have a food menu as well. Most of it is outsourced from surrounding eateries (pizza and fried bit & pieces) but the charcuterie and cheese is made in-house. All in all a decent spot for a relaxing drink and snack pre-dinner.

Beautiful night

Great reggae music. Love it! Friendly bar staff, cool seating outside, with great views

Awesome cocktail venue with a magnificent view. Very friendly staff who constantly checked were we right. Cocktails and beers are reasonably priced and served fairly promptly. Will definitely revisit while on holidays for another drink

Charcuterie 1 meat 1 cheese with Gouda and prosciutto as the selections.

Slow service and a weak drink. We spent $38 on two drinks that were good but small pours. Great atmosphere but Not worth the visit...

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 4.7/5…read moreValue: 4.7/5 Our first stop in Queenstown and it was a beautiful, sunny afternoon, making the gorgeous patio of Atlas Beer Cafe an optimal place to be. We wanted to go to fergburger, but was recommended that this place was actually better. After tasting both, I don't quite agree with that take, but Atlas was still darn good, and there were places to sit, relax, and enjoy the day, which is a way better vibe Fergburger. Pork belly: a glutinous app that is definitely only for those who like high amounts of fat. The fat section was more than typical and had a great jello-esque texture with a crispy outside, perfect for pork belly. The sauce was also nicely sweet and sticky, just adding to the whole texture of the dish. Again this dish is not for those who are just wanting to "try" pork belly. Grilled Cheeseburger: The burger was great, no doubt about it. Double patty, double cheese, caramelized onions, just a classic combo done well. If you're looking for a great burger with a great view, come here, and grab a beer to pair along with it! All that being said, the meat was just not as seasoned and the depth of flavors weren't quite there compared to Fergburger. If you were forced to go to only one of these places, I would still try Fergburger.F

It is a very small place (especially when it's rainy and you can't sit outside). We met a local that knew the owner and was just so fun to talk to. We covered everything from good places to eat, the New Zealand culture and life in general. He gave us a few ideas on what we could try to do (although even he said it is tough to find things as Queenstown offers mainly outdoor adventures). The beer and the selection was pretty good and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed all the random items all over the walls. Very nice and causal place, overlooking the river.

We went on a beautiful, warm, sunny summer day just about as soon as they opened. We opted to sit outside for lunch to take in the views and some sunshine. I suppose it's a casual restaurant, but the food is outstanding and the presentation is top notch. The food can be a bit pricey given the tapas style sharable portions, but the thoughtful mix of flavors and fresh ingredients make the experience well worth the price. Naturally they have an extensive wine list boasting local wines and some from other well known international wine regions. It was a rose kind of day, and a glass of the local Terra Sancta rose was perfect. We ordered light - just 3 small plates for the two of us - but it was all delicious. The Baked Empanadas came with three types - beef & provolone, porkbelly & sweet corn puree, and mushroom, provolone cheese and raisins. The Goat Cheese Croquettes were served with local honey, greens and toasted almonds - a must order! I don't eat seafood, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed the Baja Fish Tacos. Take a break from vineyard touring and enjoy a lovely afternoon (or sunset!) at Bannockburn.

We ordered a tapas sharing menu for dinner, loved the prawns + cider tapas, and the tacos was amazing. I loved how they have designed the pineapples with a fish cod fillet and blend it with some simple sauces. The chorizos are from a nearby town, so some good local flavor blended in. We sat outside on the patio and had an amazing view of the mountains and vineyards. I would def come back here again if I am back in NZ. A must visit!

So, we decided let's repeat the previous night's pizza & beer takeaway, dining on the waterfront. Previously, we tried Winnie's; enjoying three small pizzas varieties, packed with NZ signature toppings. This evening, on our way back to Winnie's, we passed by HELL pizza & decided to peruse the menu. Creative, flavorful sounding pies, we decided to switch things up & dine in HELL the appeal was the enhanced toppings- a lot of pies were similar to the favorites we had at the other pizzeria, but there were a few more toppings on each comparable pie in HELL (and not just the Gluttony pie haha), plus the ability to be a Creator! Drool! So we ordered a Lust Deluxe snack-size thin pulled & a Creator (smoked salmon, calamari, mussels, mushrooms, onions, prawns, extra mussels, lemon pepper sauce) Oh, I am glad I don't live in HELL; mainly because I would be eating non-stop. The toppings were delicious-hearty chunks, well-seasoned, unique flavor combinations. The crust wasn't anything special, it had a light buttery flaky undercooked dough taste- wish it was a bit more oven charred crispy, but it held all the toppings well, without being too soggy, falling apart. Overall, would recommend!
