Way more competent and helpful than County Agent Hank Kimball on Green Acres. :-) They do soil testing for all. You can call with your questions anytime during business hours. The phones are manned by Master Gardeners with amazing resources to answer any questions you may have about plant pests, plant diseases, fertilizing, etc. if you can think of it they can answer it. Their Master Gardener program will teach you to be an expert and is a great volunteer opportunity for those interested in gardening. Twice a year they have a hugely popular open house with information booths, tours of their demonstration garden maintained by the Master Gardeners and an awesome plant sale with great prices. The pandemic has put the kibosh on this for now but they have pivoted to zoom events with coordinated plant themes that you can purchase.

There's a small unmarked break in the security fence and a small peninsula of unsecured land near the end of TLH Runway 27. Yes, the cemetery is open to the public and it's an active cemetery. I noticed a number of very recent headstones and yes, a few older ones. The Reverend L.D. Elliott is laid to rest here and he passed in 1922. The "restricted area" signs are to keep people from going onto the airport property. You can absolutely visit the cemetery. Just please be respectful. On his first day she sent me a photo of him when I asked how he was doing. I think that's awesome. She accepts ELC and she offers free VPK For 4 year olds. My baby's first day she had him tracing letters. Each month they have a "letter of the month". The curriculum Mother Dixon has put in place for her kids are always a step above average. She's there every morning I drop him off. My child has been showing such an independence since starting school here. In the morning Mother Dixon is playing Gospel Music. She has scriptures around the building and everything has a label on it. She provides breakfast lunch and 2 snack times a day for the kids. I love everything about Precious Little Royal Angels!

I was concerned about his transition to a new daycare but he did well even on the first day! He loves going there and doesn't even think about me in the mornings because he is so ready to greet her. He is almost two and is thriving very well. He has his own basket with all of his necessities. The area is neat and clean. There is a main room and several rooms that are designated for children of different age groups. There is definitely a family feel and that is important in child care. Many of the items around the facility are labeled such as "microwave", "window", "television" and I thought that was a nice touch. Oftentimes, light gospel music can be heard playing or common nursery rhymes. My son comes home singing songs he's learned in school. They even sent me a picture one day of him tracing letters at 1 year old. The pricing is fair and Ms. Dixon will work with you even if you just need part time care. Give her a call.

I have two boys, a 4 month old and a 2.5 year old. My older boy gets so excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot and doesn't want to leave at the end of the day.
