"Ethel's Book Nook" is painted red like a barn and has a steel roof. A single door is secured by an interesting catch. The interior is completely free of the Northern New York weather. Inside, two shelves of paperbacks and hardcovers. Some romance, some thrillers, some mystery. Beach reading. It's relatively new as it's not on Google Street View since the pass in June 2019. It is light green with a darker green trip and the words "Open the Door to Imagination" on the door. The library is on two legs and is attached to the tree. A single door reveals two shelves that are quite full of books but there was till room to insert two more as I reduce my own library. Mostly hardcovers with a couple of retired library books. Bibliographies and such with some children's reading. Good choices but nothing that caught my eye today. We signed up today, worked out for 30 minutes, then picked up our son to find out on our own once we checked his bag, that he was fed a bottle that was not his. He consumed someone else's breast milk and or formula. We're still waiting on their staff to resolve this issue. If you're a parent, I don't have to explain the concern, frustration and worry that comes along with this. Needless to say this was SO not what we expected from the YMCA. We will not be back. Be careful who you decide to leave your children with.

The Eastside Family YMCA has been a service which provides our family hours of entertainment. The…read morefacilities are clean and easily accessible. The staff is very helpful when we have questions about schedules and activities. We take advantage of the child drop off which allows us to workout and gives our kids something to do. They have daily drop off times which is helpful. We also enjoy the pool and hot tub, as well as the ability to go to any other YMCA in the area and use their facilities. It is a great value for our family of 5 and while we have only been members for a month, we look forward to our weekly visits and it has become part of our routine.
