I recently used Little Guy Movers for an in town move between two houses. They were very responsive when I submitted my request to receive a quote. They were reasonably priced and due to their quick response I selected to use them. They contacted me twice during the week of the move to make sure that my move was still scheduled and to review next steps with how the move would be facilitated. The two young men, Holden and Antwan, called when they were on their way and provided an estimated time of arrival. After they parked the truck in front the house and conducted a walk thru to ensure they knew which pieces to move, they verified the service price to ensure I was in agreement. They wrapped the door way to prevent damage when moving the furniture. Holden and Antwan meticulously disassembled the beds, loaded the truck, moved the furniture into the new location and reassembled it. They both were very careful handling my belongings, courteous, and professional. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the gentlemen who serviced my move, but a policy that was not fully explained. When I booked the move, I was informed of a 3% discount if you wrote a check or used cash. However, it must be a Greensboro address on the check. This makes no sense since they are a moving company especially if the check is with a national bank. They need to fully explain the limitations of the discount when offering it as an option. Overall, I would recommend Little Guy Movers and would use them again. Just bring cash if you want the discount for not using a card. read more

Three weeks ago a team of 6 movers and 2 trucks from Little Guys Movers moved us about an hour and a half from Greensboro. The guys were polite and did move everything but were careless in the process and caused damages to our furniture. We had a new custom couch that we addressed taking extra care of to everyone. It was even noted on the work slip! Each worker was told the couch was new and to wrap it and be careful with it. Upon delivery, the white couch was brown with dirt and filth and there are some kind of grease marks on the top, the legs were chipped. The movers left a pile of boxes downstairs that were marked for the upstairs bedrooms because they didn't feel like moving anything else. They put our bed together wrong causing my husband and I to try to figure out how to repair it. No one took any care much less extra care of the one item I pointed out to them. We have been trying to get someone to repair, replace ... do anything to make things right and I was told yesterday (3 weeks later) they are reaching out to fabric people to clean it. Why did you wait 3 weeks? I wish this was the only damage to our furniture but it wasn't. I don't know what it takes to actually get things made right after the damages that were caused because nothing has been made right all this time later. All I seem to get is "I understand and share your concern". No.... I really don't think Little guys movers does understand or share my concern. Find other movers! I cannot express my dissatisfaction, concern, and fear resulting from my having used "Little Guys Movers" in Greensboro, NC For my move. After the movers had left my new apartment I found that ALL of my personal papers, which had been carefully boxed, was missing. All of my bank records, insurance, credit cards, personal correspondence from the last 50 years (I'm 84), photo albums ... ALL of it missing. Almost needless to say, this action by this moving service has been devastating not only to my life but to my loved ones who have also been so badly hurt both emotionally and financially. I hired Little Guys Movers of Greensboro to move my household belongings. The day after the move my wife realized all of her jewelry was gone. I opened my drawer where I keep my watches and another drawer where I kept my coin collection and they were both empty. Also, Little Guys Movers broke two pieces of furniture during the move. One piece they said that they would return and repair, they never did. A table they damaged was taken to their shop for repairs and it has now disappeared. From the beginning they acted in a highly unprofessional manner on many occasions. After I filled a police report about the theft I spoke to the Little Guys Movers about compensation for my losses. Little Guys Movers really impressed me with their communication, efficiency, and customer service. Throughout the whole move, they were a dream to work with. Also, they managed to pull off a move during COVID, which is no easy feat. Before the move, Little Guys Movers took a full inventory of everything that needed to get moved. In my case, they were taking heavy furniture. They gave me a price for the move and guaranteed the price wouldn't change. I did have the option to add pieces on the day of. I added an antique chair, so that upped the price by $7.50. After confirming the move the several times before the day, the movers showed up on time at the right location. They came with a massive truck. The team consisted of three young men. They showed me an invoice before starting and were able to work independently once we showed them what needed to be moved. They put up corner protectors and blankets to avoid damage to the house. This move involved getting furniture from a storage unit as well, and the team handled this without issue. They also moved a piece of furniture at the final location from one room to another. This flexibility was much appreciated. Payment was a breeze. I was able to pay by card. The whole move took just over two hours. What I liked was that I had a firm quote and didn't have to pay based on the amount of time it took. I absolutely recommend this company. We were moving from Greensboro to the coast and knew that with a little one that we needed help. We did A LOT of research on who was the best and really which company would even go that mileage and Little Guys Movers checked the boxes. These guys were great. Not only were they professional but they were so friendly and helpful along the entire process. They walked us through everything (because we had never used movers) and when we tried to help, they assured us, this is why we were paying them. We had a tiny mishap that was not their fault and in the end they took some money off our total to replace an item that got broken due to a slippery ramp. Wildly Unprofessional. We are moving overseas and our shipper decided to give the Little Guys a try. They showed up on time but thought the truck wasn't going to arrive when it was supposed so they left saying they could come back tomorrow. Then they called our shipper saying that they were going to quit because we didn't seem completely ready for the move and they couldn't wait. My wife broke he ankle the week before and we are moving a full house so there was a lot of stuff but we are fully ready. We have reschedule many things including the shipping container which was going to arrive right about on time. If I were you and you needed some help moving I'd look at the reviews for the "Little Guys" and try some other guys. read more

I used Little Guys Movers this weekend to move from Raleigh to Greensboro. The truck showed up on time, and the movers were very nice. They were prompt, polite and willing to work with me to keep my price as originally estimated. They also worked with me to keep my total cost low. I was going to rent a truck on my own, but it was actually more affordable to just have them handle everything. One thing to note, the number of boxes you originally estimate (which I did before packing) is the number they will hold you to. They are willing to work with you (4 small boxes being considered as one), but there is an additional charge for extra boxes. It isnt anything ridiculous, I just didn't know (maybe because this was my first time using a moving company). So make sure to use larger boxes and stay aware of the number you have. We had a long distance move from Virginia to North Carolina. Little Guys was very thorough with our inventory so our estimate was pretty spot on. The movers were very efficient and professional. Excellent communication - they always called to let us know when they were on the way and when to expect their arrival. Some of our furniture was slightly damaged but it is to expected with the cords that they wrap around the drawers to keep things from sliding out. We used these guys for a pretty big move from a 3rd floor apt to our first home. We were originally going with another company but that company bailed 2 weeks before our move because of some heavier items we had. I called Little Guys and got a comparable quote without any issues and scheduled with them. Let me tell you that at 7 months pregnant I'm pretty picky about things. The guys showed up 10 mins early with a call ahead which was only the beginning of how well they impressed me! Each guy introduced themselves and shook my hand. These guys worked hard for 7 hours with a lunch break which we were totally fine with because they were busting their butts for our move. They even held all our heavy furniture so that I could get floor pads under the legs for our new wood floors. I've used them twice. The first time was decent with no problems but this second time not quite so good. I won't be using them ever again and I would say it would be in your best interest to use a different company. The issue is they moved a stainless steel refrigerator from a storage unit to my new house and put it in the garage because the house already had a fridge inside. The fridge was placed in the garage to store it until I could move it to the beach. It was not going to be used here at the house, it was just to be stored in the garage until I could move it to the beach therefore I didn't inspect it closely. When the guys picked up the fridge at the storage unit they didn't point out any dents or issues which was appropriate BECAUSE THERE WEREN'T ANY dents or scratches. So after they dropped everything off at the house things appeared to be fine for a while but a few days later we noticed a pretty big dent in the front of the fridge. Keep in mind that nothing had been touched in the garage or moved since they dropped the fridge off because I was busy working and didn't have time. So when I noticed the dent I took some pics but didn't have time to deal with it immediately. A few days later I sent an email to Josh with the pics to file a claim since it was clear that the only way the dent could have gotten there was during the time it was moved and/or on the truck. Maybe the fridge shifted or something banged into it most likely during the drive or loading/unloading. In fairness, I was told that you have 30 days to file a claim if you notice a problem later. Well turns out they deny that this was due to the move. Since it took almost a week to notice it (because I was at the beach) and another week to report it due to working and traveling they are denying that it happened because of the move. The fact is there is NO OTHER WAY IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED since nothing in the garage was moved during that time and the fridge was NOT IN USE. Moral of the story: Check everything CLOSELY after drop off and REPORT IT THE DAY OF. That is the mistake I made but I won't make that mistake again. I feel like the movers knew they dented the fridge and hoped I wouldn't see it for a few days AND THEY WERE RIGHT. I didn't see it initially and now they are not going to do anything to make it right. My recommendation is to find a more reputable moving company that will inspect your items before and after with you present and make sure to inspect everything when it's dropped off!! read more

They were professional and polite and they really navigated my move well, especially since it was a little tricky getting out of my first apartment. They didn't charge me extra when my apt probably should have been classified as a second floor apt. We used Little Guys for a move this past weekend and had a great experience. Their movers were courteous and professional. We had a difficult move at best, as we had been living in a temporary location before we bought our house wherein half of the furniture was ours and half belonged to my parents. We had to give a quick overview of what to pack versus what to leave and they handled it with grace and made us feel very assured. In addition we had a piano to move which required it being taken to a basement level at our new home....they didn't even flinch at the challenge. I trusted that these guys had experience in packing furniture on trucks...after I arrived at my destination I found multiple pieces damaged as a result of loading heavy objects on lighter objects, a washer as an example resulting in damage to the top surface. Anybody with any sense at all would NOT do what they did. Furthermore they will not cover any damages because they did not drive the truck...they have missed my point. I can't believe there are only seven reviews on these guys. We have made three moves with Little Guys, and every move has been perfect. They show up when they say they will, with a call ahead to confirm the time, AND a call to say they're on the way. Each time they padded all doorways that they had to pass through, and made the move of each piece like it was the only thing they were moving. Each crew was also polite and professional. I hired Little Guys Movers to help load a truck for my upcoming move. I didn't need a full on move, just a couple hours of help to move the larger items in my house. The company came highly recommended and I had positive experiences leading up to the day of the move. However, the actual work done was extremely disappointing. The two guys who came to move my furniture did more talking about what they were going to do than actual work. Instead of filling the lift on the 18 wheeler to its capacity and then moving items to the truck they transferred one item at a time and then took their time placing the items on the truck. If it weren't for the driver of the truck (who was only supposed to drive the truck) there would have been no way we would have gotten the truck loaded before sundown. He actually finally starting to try motivating the workers because they did much more standing around than actual work. One of the guys ended up getting a bit overheated and needed a break, which was totally understandable, but then they tried to deny me the extra time to make up the break time. The whole experience was so disappointing. I did not give the guys a single penny as a tip. But, the worst part about the whole experience was that nothing was done for me after the fact. I called the next day to communicate my disappointment and was met with many apologies and compassion. I was told I would be contacted to see what they could do for me. Instead, I had to call back a week later and was told "sorry there is nothing we can do for you". I was made to feel like it was my fault for not calling the supervisor during the process so he could have handled it then. But, to be honest, I was busy moving items myself since the two guys we hired weren't doing much. I was more afraid of not getting the truck loaded than anything. I find it ridiculous and unbelievable that a company who supposedly stands behind their service will not refund me either in part or in full for a job not done to the level I was promised.
