Neil determined over the phone that it would take two days for us to complete the move. Zach, John, Gabe & Gregg, both teams, were very conscientious of their work. Gabe moved our stereo and opened the lid to remove a vinyl record to prevent it from being scratched; to me, that revealed that they cared. The teams were very patient with my 88-year-old mother as she decided where to put those heavy dressers. They even took the time to relocate some of her furniture. When the move was complete, they tallied up the time and charged us $270.00 less than the original quote. They are setting a new standard in the moving industry. I called last week to set this move up and all I needed was two guys to help move the big bulky items I couldn't move myself into Pods that I had already had delivered. They said they could do it and gave me a quote right there over the phone for a two hour minimum and what it would cost for every hour there after. I guess I'm just so use to getting taken, that I just assumed, at that low a price, that they would take their time and get at least three hours out of the move. BOY was I wrong, not only did the show up promptly at the appointment time they were courteous and polite. They inventoried everything that needed moving and we did the necessary paperwork and then they got right to work. I had furniture for a 4 bedroom home which included dressers and highboys and large end tables plus couches and corner cabinets, and book shelves. Not only did we get all the bulk items loaded but we also got all of the little stuff moved as well and all done in less that two hours. I would highly recommended this company for your moving needs. This was a clear case of taking advantage of seniors. They claim to have packed 101 boxes, when actually they packed 38. They counted 6 Amazon packages as double, counted 5 lb canvas wall hangings as a box, and then over added and charged for non existent items neither packed nor moved. Initial estimate that included items like a freezer, treadmill, table and chairs, loveseat, chair and a half and numerous other items, I sold prior to the moving date, and was still charged for it all even though they claim they took those items off. They left my dresser in the lobby of the apartment complex we moved to and after asking Noah to move it, he said, "Sam will do it, it's too heavy for me", another 30 minutes or more went by before I got frustrated and with a spinal cord injury, pushed it and got it at least to the elevator where numerous other items were just leaned against the wall while the other young man talked to his girlfriend on his cell phone. They took excessives amounts of time and was in no hurry at all. Even still Noah ran into a tower of stacked boxes knocking them over and chipping and breaking some items in 3 different boxes. I was in so much pain and so exhausted that I just took Sam's word as I didn't have my reading glasses on and signed the paperwork which he only described as what I was signing, NOT the exaggerated amount I was signing for. When all was signed the estimate went from $1436.63 to $2233.98. They moved me 5.7 miles and I paid just $987.56 more then when I moved from WA State to TN which was over 2500 miles and I had double the stuff. I can't wait to put this in review form on Yelp, Angie's List, Middle TN site for people looking for various types of work done, Facebook, Twitter, their Google domain etc. The very most this move should have cost us was the now obvious low ball estimate. read more

Over promised and under delivered. We had these guys contracted, the week before we closed, to move the large items that we had left for staging our house. We were explicitly clear on how heavy our piano was and they guaranteed us that they would move it. They came the day we were contracted to move, looked at it, and told us they couldn't move it. They gave all kinds of excuses about not having the right equipment, and how it was our fault for not communicating how big it was, and had zero empathy toward the predicament they put us in; even though they assured us multiple times previously that they could move it when we communicated before hand. Ultimately, another day off work and more money spent, we were able to find another company who moved it with a couple guys and a furniture dolly within our tight time frame. Moral of the story: if you don't want to find yourself in a similar situation, find another company or get your buddies and move your stuff yourself. read more

I would HIGHLY recommend little guys movers! They were so friendly, professional, and efficient in moving us across town. They made sure nightstands, chest of drawers, carts, etc. were completely shrink wrapped so they wouldn't get damaged or have things fall out of them. I used Little Guys to load three PODS for me. First one POD and then a week later two more. Management was professional & responsive. First POD was mostly boxes and tools etc. ; everything was fine loading and there was no damage when unloaded. The last two PODS were mostly furniture. I trusted that the guys were doing a good job and didn't hover over them. When it came time to unload the PODS at least half of my furniture had been scratched. Many instances of wood against wood & wood against metal - never a good thing. They had not wrapped things properly at all. I don't know if it was lack of training or what, but I cannot recommend them. read more

Let the moving madness begin -- Thank goodness for Little Guy Movers for making at least one part of purchasing a home EASY. Litlle Guys Movers gets five stars for their professionalism, promptness, and work ethic. From my last post, you may guess that I am used to waiting around (coughs...Comcast) so when these guys showed up 10 minutes early I thought I was now a good canidate for Life Alert because this girl was about to have a heart attack. My moving task was not an easy one, we had a total of three stops because my mother was moving and I was taking some of her stuff, I needed to get my belongings out of my apartment and you know what my new roomate needed to move so we just added that as a stop too. If you are lucky and you get Darren as your crew supervisor, he does an excellent job of getting everyone together to get the job done right. Aside from moving quickly, they actually were really personable and talked to us. Which was really nice. At the end, these guys started in Murfressboro at 7:30 am, made three stops, moved countless pieces of furniture and boxes up and down many flights of stairs and were done by 1:00 pm. (With not a stratch or dent on any wall or personal belonging). We got charged exactley what we said we were going to get charged and they were super flexible when we needed to add a couple of more items to the truck. Hopefully I will not be moving in the future for awhile, but if I do, this place would be the first place I call! And like all moving companies, be prepared to pay a bit more if you are getting moved on a Saturday or Sunday! Also, they prefer cash or check as payment -- but I say CASH because you will want to tip your movers for a job well done. I know I did! read more

Hired little guys for a last minute move and they were great until they damaged a $1100 piece that I made them aware about during booking. They offered $150 AFTER asking me how I could be satisfied. Let them know $150 was not something I'm willing to settle for an they let me know that was all they could do and not willing to do anything else. May not be a big deal to some but it was a big deal to my console. Don't ask how you can satisfy me and then tell me you can't satisfy me to my liking. Didn't ask for a full refund, just wanted to be taken care of for them damaging my items. Will NEVER hire them again. Look for another company. read more

Service was good only a few scratches on some of the heavier pieces but easily concealed with a marker. Overall they did exactly as I asked, were kind, moved quickly and understood my sometimes not so clear instructions. Worth every penny! I hate moving but I hate moving stuff even more!!! Also if your reading this please try and tip these guys - I know were already paying for an expensive move but watching these guys lift some of my heavy items, carry them up and down stairs - this is no easy task. We all know how stressful and dreadful moving can be. Recently I made the move back home to San Diego from Murfreesboro, TN. My boyfriend joined the Navy back in January and pretty much I was out in Murfreesboro by myself, left with the task of moving our apartment cross-country (my dad did come out to help too). I knew I'd be needing some extra muscle because I know my capabilities and knew that if it were just my dad and me packing the box truck, there would be a lot of crying (because I'm weak, my dad is not mean! ha!) Anyways, in the beginning of June, I called around to get some quotes from different companies in the area for various services. Little Guys movers contacted me back quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote for two guys to load the U-haul I had reserved. My original reservation was for Sunday, June 29 at 9AM with 2 movers for 2 hours. A couple weeks passed and I realized that the U-haul place wouldn't open on Sunday until 9AM. Stressed I called Little Guys again asking them if they could push back the appointment to 9:30AM. The man on the phone informed me that they had an appointment right after mine, so there was a chance that if they pushed my appointment back it would run into the other one. Luckily the guy was awesome enough to call the other appoint, see if they could move their's back an hour so mine could be moved to 10AM. Success! I was so relieved. Fast forward to moving day, two guys (I believe their names were Neil and Lee or Leif) show up at the apartment on-time, re-evaluated my packed boxes and furniture and got started at 10:15. I've never hired movers before, so I didn't know if I was supposed to help load the truck or not. Well with these guys all you have to do is just sit back. My dad and I were blown away by how quickly and careful these two guys were moving. They were literally RUNNING from the box truck up to my apartment with a dolly in between loads to get the move done as quickly as possible. It was a little cooler and raining a bit that morning but these guys were sweating their butts off getting my stuff loaded onto the truck. They were super friendly the entire time, too! Two hours later my moving truck was packed and my dad and I didn't have to lift a single box. Paid the guys what I was quoted, tipped them each extra because we were so impressed, I expressed my gratitude for their service, they expressed how happy they were to help and they were on their way. Highly recommend this company, especially if you're on a relatively tight moving budget. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. They saved me a lot of stress and energy! read more

BEWARE. Read & be very sure of every aspect of your contract. We are senior citizens & got a quote for move from Murfreesboro Tn to Florida. We got a total move quote on a Sunday, for 3 rooms @ $4,800. They arrived & packed about half of our things on Monday, after which they presented another bill for over $800 for "packing". After I questioned the charge, I was told that packing is not included in the total move quote that I received. After long & heated discussion, I finally gave up, paid the $800 to get rid of them & found another service that ended up being about $1,000 less. Learn from our bad experience. read more

On the front end Lil Guys Movers are great! However, I'm updating the work done on my huge 1,100 lb storage bed which their worker Leif came and applied wood putty to a rather large crack (from previous movers). He's yet to return to sand/stain after 2 phone calls to Lil Guys as a reminder since before Christmas. Assemblers also accidentally drilled through the bed's wood cabinet causing a chunk of splintering which they returned to take the splinter (size of a quarter) home to remove the particulate from the back so he could adhere to the bed properly. On another note, they had misplaced / lost the main locking hub to a rather expensive trail bike, but I thought nothing of just replacing it myself since the bike needed (still needs) a tune-up following storage/ moving. (((Sigh))) I'll be making yet another phone call to Lil Guys to see if I'm still on their TO-DO List... Since September. read more

Ok....so you contact these guys, there numbers look good...and you say "I'm a little unsure of the date...but here are are the parameters....amount, time frames, location, etc." And, you keep in touch...by email saying "I've got your quote, looks good, will answer you by email in 24 hours". So, in 24 hours you do that...and bingo bongo...about a week before your move...they cancel. Now this was a good move...about a $1,000. So...you can't trust these guys...give two men and a truck a call...they deliver, little guys don't. read more

My mom had to hire movers to move 1.6 miles down the road. She got a quote for $1200 and it was made clear that was an estimate. The packers came on Saturday and when they left they just left big piles of unused paper laying in the halls and living room. My mom is disabled and uses a walker so she had a hard time getting around the paper and trying to move it as well as it being extremely wasteful. The move was on labor day weekend which was the 1st, so of course she had to wait until the the 2nd to move. No big deal except the landlords of the previous house had cleaners and carpet installers coming in. So my mom let the 3 guys from Lil guys know they had to get everything out rather quickly. We were having to deal with getting the water changed over because if the holiday there had been some confusion and right before we left the guys said they had finished. We heard them talking earlier about how everything was not going to fit. They left a bunch of stuff scattered all over the house. My mom had been told the only thing they would not move was cleaning products and food, so I was prepared to move that stuff. We called the Lil guys office and told them a bunch of stuff was left and they said the moving guys said it was things that weren't on the inventory to be moved. Lamps they said...so they weren't moving the lamps? There was plenty more than that,I had to go around to each room and gather all of it. It was lamps, pictures, plastic tote boxes full of things, shower curtains. It filled half of her living room. They said they would tell them to come back and get it. What I didn't realize was that they meant after they unloaded the other truck. The old landlords needed that stuff out so I had to make 6 trips from one house to the other. I have a small SUV and they left that much stuff that it took me 6 trips! The movers called while we were still out and said they were done and needed to be paid. My mom told them she would drop the payment off at the office. The movers told her they had to be paid before they could leave and she should come now or she would just be payi g them to stand there. I called the office guy back and told him what had transpired. He asked if I wanted them To go back and get the stuff they left. I told him I had gotten it myself. He argued with me on the phone for several minutes about how he could send the guys if I wanted him too which I had told him to do 3 hours earlier and he had not done so obviously he just wanted to go round and round for some reason. He asked me why I had not told them myself and I had to remind him I was not on their payroll and it was not my job to tell his employees how to do their job. When we got back to the house the "lead" mover tried to talk to me about it. I told him I had gotten everything already and to just leave. He kept trying to talk to me about it to the point that the Xfinity cable guy who happened to be there helping with the cable had to tell the mover to get out of my face. It was all a nightmare and the box count was off by a 100 so it ended up costing $1800 total!!! To move less than 2 miles and not even get all of her stuff out.
