If you live in the area it's a nice place to take a stroll and take a break under all the shade trees. Thank you to the parks and rec department for keeping this little park alive. It's a nice escape from the bustling downtown noise just on the other side of the streets.

Additionally, the tennis courts are usually pretty busy with players of all ages and talent levels. I've been here probably a dozen or so times and played a handful of pickup basketball games, jogged on the miles of clean a s well kept trails, played games of both singles and doubles tennis, as well as the pool. A few noteworthy points that give this park four stars are the fact this park has working water fountains, the grounds and trails are clean of litter and trash, and the tennis courts are lighted. You should plan ahead if you're planning to swim because the pool is only open between June 1-Aug 11 with afternoon hours only, this pool isn't open in the mornings. Also, ages 12+ costs $2 while 11 and under is $1.

This tennis courts has court lights that keep the courts lit for evening tennis sessions all year long. There were over 100(?) pickleball courts hosting a range of youth and professional athletes for the world championship weekend. Countless vendor stands, samples, food trucks, outdoor games, you name it! I loved seeing the kids having a fabulous time with their parents cheering them on the sidelines.
