Five star PLUS! Everything about this place was so amazing! I dined with a large group of thirty plus but the service was top notch. The servers were very welcoming, pleasant, and very helpful. They paid attention to every detail. I was amazed with very little wait time. While we were still enjoying the appetizer, the main entrees were up and ready. The space was clean and very well lit. Our group was seating in one area which made the service very personal. What can I say about the portions? We all had to have doggie bags. If you find yourself in the area.... It's a must stop. If you're old, an alcoholic, have loud obnoxious kids you can't take anywhere else, or have long covid symptoms and can't taste or smell anything still, then this is the place for you. Just gross. Soggy lettuce in my wife's Caesar wrap ($18 with no side), and my omelette had eggs overcooked to hell and half a spatula full of barely crisped hasbrowns. If the owner reads this, I want to thank you for my one piece of toast cut into 4 pieces to make it look like 2 whole slices of bread....and why can't you use a toaster vs "toasting" bread on the stove top? Also gross when you get butter in those nasty little packets thrown on top of your food. And seems dirty and you if you want to use the washroom you enter and leave through theatre drapes. read more

Wow what a good spot! I came up here from the city to just walk and see the beautiful houses. Stopped here for a bite and a drink. I got the burger, Mac and cheese and a spicy margarita. Stumbled upon this place looking for outdoor seating in the middle of a John Hughes tour. Nice space outside and the interior is surprisingly large. Drinks were really good - I had a Paloma and my friend had their tomatillo margarita which was out of this world. If I wasn't driving I would have had one also. We started with chips and salsa with guacamole. I don't eat avocado but the salsa was delicious and just the right amount of heat. The chips were fresh out of the fryer and delicious. We had quesadillas- my friend had the veggie and I had pulled pork. The pulled pork was really tasty, but I expected veggies and pulled pork - it was just pork and cheese. The veggie was good if a little odd - spinach and black beans with canned mushrooms. The service started good but then our server disappeared- I thought maybe his shift was over and nobody told us - I had to go to the bar to ask for our check - and then he mysteriously showed up again. This place is absolutely delicious!!! My friend and I walked in for a drink and decided to order the Mac & cheese and it came with garlicky green beans. Honestly, best Mac & cheese we've ever had!!! This is one of our go-to restaurants after having been looking for one since moving to the suburbs. It's a cute little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Easy parking. Always friendly staff. Rarely a wait, which is nice especially with the kiddos. They've got a bar too, in case you're wanting to try some solo dining. The menu is a pretty good value considering the quality and amount of food you get, plus the location in Winnetka. The kids menu does leave you wanting something more interesting, but that's not to be unexpected. Standout dishes: - Turkey Burger: These are the BEST turkey burgers I've ever had. It's got avocado, their own special sauce, and a big, juicy turkey patty. Comes with a side that you can choose - want to be traditional? Fries. Want a little pizzazz? Cheese fries. Want to fancy it up? Onion rings. Want to eat healthier? Plenty of veggie options too! - Chicken Parmesan: This one is a unique one. It's served with fettucine alfredo and brussel sprouts. Doesn't seem like it'd go, but the entire dish is great, and it's nice that you've got a little of everything, like a sampler plate. - Little Club: While this isn't as impressive the above two, it's still pretty tasty. We ordered one bottle of wine three beers and guacamole and it was $88 which is in my opinion ridiculous. The beer blue moon had a horrible taste. It seemed as if the keg line should've been cleaned or hasn't been cleaned. We got the tortilla chips with guacamole. I think there was about a half a cup of guacamole in the bowl and the tortilla chips were horribly overcooked picture included almost burned. Not a great experience. read more

This restaurant just opened up so I'm sure they are working out all the kinks. It did take a long time for us to get our bill even though our table was cleared. I had to ask another waiter to try to find mine. The location is where Little Ricky's used to be (on the corner of Lincoln and Elm street). Overall, it's better than Little Ricky's! There's a lot of great outdoor seating. For the food: Guacamole & chips - great size. Decent. Nachos with ground beef - Decent. I loved how to put everything on the side so my kids could eat it too. Only weird thing is that I saw something pink in the food and not sure what it was. Kids chicken strips & fries - chicken strips were good (4/5) and the fries were just ok (3/5) per my child Kids cheese pizza & broccoli - small serving and just ok but I'm glad they offer fruit and veggies as a side. Price is decent for kid's meal. Chicken Cobb salad - Not bad. I really liked the ranch dressing and the bacon was crispy. Steak fajitas - Good They have a wide range of food options - fajitas to pastas to ribs to burgers and salads. I wouldn't mind trying other items from here. I wanted to try the baked potato bc I love anything that's made of potatoes! I'm happy to see another restaurant open up in Winnetka. read more

The masked server probably thought we were homeless people just sitting at one of their tables and couldn't even acknowledge us....... I gave 2 stars for the service but the food was subpar at best. Started with bang bang shrimp ap and I had the fish and chips which were not good alrhough our server said it was. The breading was greasy and it did not taste fresh, nor did the oil it fried in. The Cobb salad was tasty enough but had better elsewhere, and the chicken Milanese looked dry but our friend seemed to like it. I'd prob not rule this place out on the "second" visit but not really excited to come back. We didn't make a reservation on a Friday night but they were able to seat us immediately in their outdoor seating area. The waitress was attentive and friendly. They brought out the appetizers and my daughter's kids meal within a few minutes. Although it wasn't her fault, I ordered a margarita and was basically served tequila on the rocks. When I brought it to the server's attention, she had the bartender redo it. We ordered the calamari and the honeycomb potato bites for appetizers and both were very good. I ordered the skirt steak and it was fairly good. The restaurant was busy so we noticed it did take a while for people to be served their meals. A couple next to us complained to the server that the food was taking too long. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good experience. I liked the outdoor seating and that the restaurant was kid-friendly. The food was tasty. We'll be back again. read more

Wow! We just ordered our first take out from Little Honeycomb and everything was deeelicious! I had salmon with 2 sides (lemon caper sauce, baked potato and roasted brussel sprouts.) The fish was crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. The sauce was so flavorful and the veggies were cooked to the perfect textures and flavors. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and baked potato. I don't have descriptors, but he also ate it all up. We're looking forward to ordering from Little Honeycomb again and again. read more

Very reasonably priced dishes ranging from burgers to sandwiches to salads. Had dinner and our waitress was friendly and prompt. Kid loved the cheese fries which comes with melted mertz cheese. Id say the side dish rice and beans is more Mexican rice (no beans) but still very tasty. Salmon sliders topped with guacamole and bacon. Great place for a relaxed meal. This is a cute place in Winnetka. We had two different burgers (Cali and Honeycomb). We each asked for them to be cooked medium. Both were well done and dry. In the Honeycomb burger, the thick bun overwhelmed the burger. The beer was tasty. And cold! It may have been that we ordered the wrong things, but the burgers are unsatisfying. The beer was on point. We might try it again to see if other meals are tastier. read more

Our first visit to LH was wonderful. Their portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Our waitress, Angelica let us know that we were going to be the second table she's ever waited on and she provided great service. Everyone reported their food was terrific. In total we had chicken parm...w/side of pasta with sauce substitution and Brussel sprouts, salad w/shrimp and lemon chicken. Angelica didn't bat an eye, she knew they could sub the pasta sauce. To me this speaks of great training and when you witness quality service, that starts at the top of the organization. Another really impressive attribute was their generous alcohol pours. My Zinfandel lasted the entire meal and an Aperol Spritz was served with the remaining small bottle of Prosecco. I've never seen that type of generosity before. LH is my new fave restaurant. I'm looking forward to going back and exploring their extensive and fairly priced menu. From what I understand the head chef from Little Ricky's (same location) owns LH. Little Honeycomb is basically Little Ricky's: similar menu, similar vibe. I think, though, that it's better than Little Ricky's was, at least better than it was when finally stopped going because it was so hit or miss, so Kraft Macaroni n' Cheese, frozen appetizers, and bad wine. Honeycomb is still working the kinks out so I'm grading up under the assumption that the servers will soon better know the menu, the cocktails will arrive with ice, and everyone will know who has which table so customers don't wait so long to place their orders. I had the salmon sliders with avocado and bacon, which I really loved. My server insisted the sliders came with a side in addition to the fries the menu said they came with, so I ordered mashed potatoes. I got the mashed and no fries, so don't listen if your server says you get both. I also had a watermelon mint mojito which was too strong and had no ice. One son had ribs and mac n cheese (not Kraft!), which he said were just okay. The other son had a burger with onion rings, which he demolished and said was excellent. We started with grilled calamari, served on a bed of chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and balsamic. I thought it was just okay. We also had the sliced, fried potato appetizer, which was served with creamy melted cheddar cheese, scallions, and bacon crumbles, and that was crave-worthingly delicious.
