The answer... nothing, the same things we always had, it just costs way more a month. In recent years, they've added a few more machines in the fitness center, but they are machines no one asked for, and you find almost no one using them. Just a waste of space, when they could actually invest in high-quality equipment that people will actually use. Along with this point, if a fitness machine is broken, it will take weeks, minimum, but most likely months to fix, which is just ridiculous. Besides the fitness center, if you want to go down to the gym, play basketball, play catch, etc. YOU CAN'T EVEN DO THAT, because they ALWAYS have events reserved for the gyms, so you can never actually use the gym for what it's intended for. The events they host after 4 pm on weekdays are just ridiculous. It's a class where only like max three people show up, or they put a volleyball net up in the middle of the gym, and no one even uses it, but if you want to use that gym for something else, you can't because it's reserved. Like, if you are going to sharply increase your monthly prices, at least improve the service. This place has become a ripoff in recent years; if they actually had good competition in this area, I bet a lot of people would leave.

With that being said, I've been a member of a few other fitness and athletic clubs. Is it fair to compare this to those clubs? It really so compared to other Y this is a nice one and completely different from the Y in Waukesha. The track is twice the size as the track in Waukesha which means 9 laps for a mile. The cardio center is twice the size also. The weight training area is large and really never crowded. I came in mid-day and it was pretty busy. The aquatic center is the crown jewel for the area Y's and is just like the pool area in Oconomowoc. It has a small water park area for the kids. Kettle balls, steps, bands, free weights, four racks for squats, plenty of free weights and benches, dumb bells, locker rooms, trainers , classes and many other health benefits. Compared to Anytime Fitness , yes it is more expensive but if you utilize this for a family then you can't beat the price. The sports is good for younger kids and as an intro. The staff is friendly and helpful and all very nice. It isn't open 24 hours but I don't need that. I'm just looking for a place to work out and provide all the various tools to do so. The only negative from what I was told by another member is the lack of parking.

We have found a new center that fits our needs way better in East Troy. Our family wishes you the best in your business but one recommendation for you going forward is to not put blame on everyone but you and your staff. I am in the business world and normally you should make a customer feel good and not make excuses and put blame on the parent when miscommunication happens between you and your staff. I felt the need to post my experience so other parents like myself don't run into this situation in the future. You are right, sometimes it is not a fit and unfortunately the way your business now operates it was not a fit anymore. They work with the kids daily to help build on developmental milestones that are appropriate for their age group. My girls love going here and I wouldn't send them anywhere else. The facility is clean and I feel very safe leaving my children there. i Also get updates throughout the day so I can see how their day is going.
