They offer preschool starting at 18 Months up to 4 years old. They offer two, three or five days a week. They are reasonably priced and what really sets them apart is the teachers really love on your kids. They really care about them and their learning. My son had Miss Chris and she was awesome. Most of the teachers have had job offers other places but love it at Let Me Shine so they stay. They do field trips, chapel, music and have an option for morning bunch or lunch bunch. They fill up every year and have a wait list, so get your application in early!

I LOVE LITTLE ORCHARD KAYSVILLE! Just by meeting the program director (Michelle Paez) you get a sense of the high standard Little Orchard PreSchool is held to. My 3.5 y/o has a speech delay, mild sensory sensitivity, and severe separation anxiety. Ms. Michelle reassured me that the staff are prepared to help kids with any transitioning difficulties they may experience. They are INCREDIBLY empathetic and patient with each student, my son actually hung out with Ms. Michelle his first 2 days of school and once he felt safe with her; she helped him transition into the classroom without her. The level of compassion and respect they give to our kids is outstanding. Other things I found note worthy... - CLEAN: The facility has a modern and updated interior. The layout is simple and very clean/organized. - STRUCTURED PROGRAM: The program is Montessori based and is very much routined and structured. They have a set daily schedule and implement early education skills (reading, writing, etc.) - GREAT COMMUNICATION: The program director is the bridge of communication between you/your kids and the teachers. This makes communicating thoughts and concerns consistent and easy! If I have a concern about my son, I can just call, text, or email Ms. Michelle and she does the rest. I decided to write this review bc last week I noticed a bruise on my son's face on a day he had school. I reached out to Ms. Michelle and asked if she could check in with his teachers and see if he had an accident or hurt himself. She called me and said that she had talked to all of staff that interacted with my son AND she personally reviewed footage from his school day to make sure there weren't any incidents where he could have been hurt. I just felt very impressed with the level of safety precautions and immediate communication to re-iterate that our children's safety is their top priority. - COMMUNITY: There are activities that families can participate in that make it fun easy to interact with the school community. - PROCARE APP: Little Orchard has a smartphone app where you can sign in/out your child from school, get personal updates from teachers, get pictures/summaries of activities the kids are doing in real time, update personal information, pay tuition, direct message the staff, etc. The app is user friendly, easy to navigate, and makes it easy to never miss an update! Long story short; if you want a community that will enable your kids to thrive socially, emotionally, physically, and academically, CHOOSE LITTLE ORCHARD!

We found this place when our old daycare shut down and loved it! We moved our children again a few…read moremonths later only because we had a child entering Kindergarten. We enrolled an almost 2 year old and an almost 5 year old. We loved the location, the inside gym (especially because it was winter) and the consistency and professionalism of the teachers. The Pre-K teacher was especially fabulous! The kids were using the Waterford Upstart program and our Kindergartner is entering Kindergarten more than prepared. The diversity was also nice. I speak some Spanish so I loved having my children learn some Spanish and gain some comfort with the language.

I just enrolled my third, and youngest child in Start Smart Preschool's program, to start in the…read morefall. I cannot imagine sending my children anywhere else?! My Eldest child is on the Autism Spectrum, and Miss Jolynne made it possible for me to mainstream my daughter in pre-school. Every day, I wish that Miss Jolynne were a teacher in the public school system! Of all the grade-school teachers my daughter has had, Miss Jolynne has been the one that has best cared for my special-needs child. There was a lot of genlte-encouragement, on Miss Jolynne's part. And at the end of two years, Miss Jolynne had prepared my daughter to enter Kindergarten. My middle child is finishing up her second year at Start Smart Preschool. Middle child is pretty typical, and she has done very well at Start Smart too. I feel like she's ahead of the game, thanks to the tactics Miss Jolynne emlploys. Miss Jolynne uses a lot of repetition to help the kids learn the alphabet, and the corresponding sounds that each letter makes. There are different "Units" that are focused on each month, like: number units, color units, weather units, and so on... The age-appropriate academia is perfectly balanced with Social/"Fun" time too. The kids get free-play. And Miss Jolynne plans excellent field trips. Also, the kids participate in Pre-school programs, twice a year! Another "edge" that Start Smart Preschool has over other, local, preschools is that it is 2.5 hours long; as opposed to the usual 2 hours. The 3-year-old class meets Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 12:15PM-2:45PM. And the 4 year old class meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 9AM-11:30AM. I think that having preschool consecutive days is genius! It helps the kids get used to going going to school several days in a row. I haven't found another preschool that better preps children to enter Kindergarten, than Smart Start does. Start Smart Preschool's enrollment period starts at the beginning of January, for the following academic year. And believe me, this preschool is "in demand" so, get your precious little-one signed up as soon as registration opens up.

The facilities are well-kept and the playground and outdoor area is especially nice and spacious to boot. With a full classroom, the individual rooms border on cramped, but the teachers are expert at a divide and conquer approach with multiple stations and areas to keep a relatively peaceful feel. Snack time can get loud with 16 kids around a table, but after a few weeks it's amazing to see them using cups, asking politely for seconds, using utensils etc. Parents bring in the snack, which nurtures the community feel over a teacher simply handing out the same stuff time and again, or mom and dad packing individual snacks strictly for their own young ones. Teachers literally have decades of experience and an uncanny mastery over their pint-sized pupils. Classrooms are run with an eye to order, fun, and constant reinforcement of basic values like kindness, sharing, table manners, curiosity and play. With that said, CCNS does not batter children with curriculum or enforce mastery of academic concepts. If you're one of those super parents who want your kid publishing their first doctoral thesis at age 16, this is probably not the place for you. Children in diapers are welcome to attend, but they will work on potty training them ASAP. In fact, my own little one was out of diapers within a few weeks of coming here. Seeing his peers use the potty and getting encouragement from other grownups helped our stubborn guy kick his Huggies addiction. Parent(s) are expected to help in the classroom about twice a month. This is almost always a great time, but depending on your situation it may not be ideal. Additionally, you will join one of several committees and participate in a clean-up day. All told, your time investment will average around 6 hours a month. I personally love the co-oping aspect of the school, as parents are much more involved than quick drop offs and pickups, and hanging with kids is just plain fun.
