first of all made an appt. at 9am on my only day off with intentions of my dogs being ready to be…read morepicked up at 4:30. i get a call an hour before saying that they were no where near being done and they needed to keep them overnight. i was just going to come and pick them up and take them elsewhere but one of my goldens already had a line all the way down his back where they didn't finish shaving him. when i went to pick them up the following day 24 hours later. one of my dogs didn't look horrible but the job wasn't finished. his toes nails weren't cut and paws weren't trimmed. he also looks extremely patchy. when my other dog came around the corner he looked absolutely horrible. his whole body except head was shaved. there is two large and noticeable knicks in his head where you can see they started but didn't finish. considering this was the last dog they groomed and the first was finished and this was was not. they clearly just didn't feel like finishing the job. his toe nails and paw pads were also not trimmed. at this point i was already an hour late for work since i had no intentions of picking them up 24 hours later. i scheduled the appointment on my day off. i shouldn't have had to wait to pick them up 24 hours later. they have been itching ever since they got home. that tells me the supplies used were more than likely unsanitary. im honestly ashamed to say i even payed for this. if i would have saw my dogs before i payed. i would have most definitely payed little to nothing. will not being returning. absolutely horrible and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Wanted to love dog culture and have a place to take my girls so they could play and socialize. I dropped them off for a behavioral assessment the first time and my pit mix failed, as she has an aggressive play style. We have been working for months to teach her to play better with all dogs and have socialized her a lot more since then. I brought both of them back for another assessment, explained to them they need a little time to acclimate to the new area and new dogs. Within NINE MINUTES, they called me to come pick her up and said she failed again. There was absolutely no effort on their part to try to give her a chance and acclimate and no knowledge of how dogs interact. If they had given her at least 30 minutes even, I would have been ok with the outcome but 9 minutes isn't enough to tell anything about a dog or their behavior in a new environment. It seemed as though they had a problem with her being a pitbull and saw her as a threat. I also watched the live cam at their Greenville location and they are completely overcrowded with way too many dogs in each bay. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

I have known the owners for about 3 years and they have truly changed our lives for the better. We…read moreinitially met them living in the SF Bay Area. We have 2 Mini-Australian Shepherds and one is very fear reactive as he was attacked on trails many times as a young puppy. We had other trainers tell us our male dog would never live a normal life and could never be around other dogs or children. Guiding Canines took the time to understand our dogs and create a meticulous training plan! They simulated real life situations since we had a baby on the way with noisy toys, crying dolls, strollers... the WORKS! We are so grateful for them! Our dogs did really well with the arrival of our son thanks to Guiding Canines! We stayed in contact with them and just moved to the East Coast. We were so excited to be near Guiding Canines again! They have taken care of our dogs and setup a follow-up training schedule while we get our house settled. They're extremely flexible but always keep the dogs best interest at the forefront. Recently, they helped facilitate a vet visit for one of our pups to get checked out. I highly recommend this team because they are truly phenomenal! We are forever grateful for them for allowing our dog to live a "normal life"!
