I have been a client of Little Royals for almost 9 years. I first met Tumeaka when she worked at a salon for little kids near the Tom Thumb. She has a remarkable talent for cutting hair. I have a little boy, so I can only speak to boy haircuts, which she does amazingly well. Tumeaka might as well be a rockstar in the world of haircutting for a little kids in the Southlake, trophy, club, Grapevine area. You have to book an advance because you won't get an appointment as she is so busy. If you go on Facebook, and you're looking for a child's cut, the whole comment section mentions little Royals. She is little kid hair cutting royalty. She can do any style that your son or you as the mother requests. She has games in her salon for the kids to play as they are getting their haircut. I have even moved out the area and I still find my way on half days or days off to get my son's haircut here. So if you need a haircut, look no further than the absolute best in the area! Little Royals is located next to Tom Thumb inside of the "Salons of Southlake" building. Lots of parking and the suite is easy to find. The suite has chalkboard walls so your kids can color while they wait. The suite also has a TV with Netflix to help distract the kids as well as a cute car for the younger kids to sit in while receiving their cut. Booking is easy, I just message her on Facebook and ask about a specific time slot and she sends me a text message with the details and our scheduled appointment. My son has very straight thick but fine hair and every other person who ever cut his hair makes his hair look choppy and it's extremely noticable because of this I used to have to take him to get another cut every month since it would grow in so bad. I heard about Little Royals through a friend of mine and I decided to check her out, I was extremely satisfied with her technical skills, shes obviously had a lot of experience with different types of hair because when I explained to her the situation she knew exactly what to do inorder to prevent it. Angelique is awesome, she takes time to make sure she gives a great cut, she's patient with the young children and she's very friendly and personable. I was impressed that she keeps notes on all of the haircuts so she can easily pull up what she did last time and do the same, I really appreciate that since there's little chance I would remember, it shows just how professional she is. My husband has difficult hair also, he's Italian and has rather thick, pencil stright hair his hair also shows every single cut and since he needs haircuts so often I asked Angelique if she does mens cuts as well. I knew if she could do our sons hair she would be able to handle my husbands difficult hair as well. I was excited to hear that she does and I was able to book the two of them back to back. Angelique did a great job on my husbands hair (and our sons like normal). Angelique is expanding her business soon and plans to move suites (across the hall to a double), she has another woman joing her, we haven't use the new lady yet but if she's anything like Angelique I know we are in good hands. Best experience ever!!!! My son had his first haircut at another salon and the woman was so rough he cried the whole time. We didn't want to go back so I was referred to Tumeaka at Little Royals. She was AMAZING!!! She explained everything and made my son feel so comfortable. He is only 7 months at he didn't shed one tear. Will be coming here to see Tumeaka from now on!! read more
