I had my hair done for prom and everyone was very nice but no one told me i would be charged extra for my hair length until all my hair got washed but should have been said before the appointment started i also asked for extra hold because i wanted my hair to last through pictures and all of it fell out within the first 20 minutes without brushing it out. I feel bad leaving this review because the stylist was so nice, but I feel like management failed them. I asked for a dry style (with loose curls) and eye makeup. They told me it was their first day and this was the first time doing loose curls the way he was doing them on my hair - well, there was no volume and the slight curls I had walking out were gone within the hour. Eye makeup, well the what I asked for vs received I won't post but many things were left out (brows, bottom shadow, liner, etc.) I was already there longer than the scheduled appointment (20min more) or would have tried to work with him on it. Honestly think the stylist could be amazing but was not prepared to take on everything they did for the first day. Hope management improves their onboarding with employees. read more

I would have been better off asking my husband to wash and style my hair than this place! I have long hair and one row of extensions so taking an hour and a half wasn't a big deal, but my stylist was blow drying my scalp to the point of burning multiple times. I was worried she would melt my very expensive extension wefts. My hair was a giant frizzy nest when I left the salon and unfortunately didn't have enough time to brush with water before needing to go to my event. I was so embarrassed about my hair the entire time and was trying to wet it down every chance I could. Even after all my water brushing at home before bed and I still have these bumps all over my hair as if the stylist didn't know how to use a curling iron. Extremely disappointed. The overall environment of this place is cheap which I didn't mind because I was wanting a simple wash and loose waves and couldn't get a last minute appointment anywhere else, but I'll be telling everyone to avoid this place unless they need a cheap appointment or have short hair and unlimited time to sit. read more

My experience at this blow dry bar was frustrating. I rescheduled my 5:45 appointment to 6:15. When I arrived at 6:15, the staff member told me they couldn't wash or style my hair because they close at 7. After some pushback, she reluctantly agreed to do my hair but only offered to style it while greasy or leave it wet. It felt like she was trying to leave early for the holidays. She did a good job, but the unprofessional treatment and lack of customer service were disappointing. There may need to be a discussion between management and staff next year to better accommodate early departures for their employees around the holidays. The experience was long I arrived at 4:45 and left at 7. Also by the time I got home my hair had fallen a lot and had almost no style or curl. Im a dry bar enthusiast and when I go to the north park location, they do a round brush blowout and then go back with a curling iron. They usually ask me if I like it and make it perfect, and it stays for 3+ days. But here I was pretty disappointed. My hair was blow dried with no rhyme or reason on extreme heat. Then curled, then put in pin curls, then curled again and it still was not what I asked for. I expected around an hour or so like my blowouts generally are but I was there for a very long time.... It didn't look good or like what I asked for and it was for my graduation in the morning so I just had straight normal hair which was the opposite of what I wanted. It was sticky and stiff but didn't look good. I came in with a middle part and she styled it in a side part which I didn't want, so when she fixed it the curls weren't right on one side. Also, a lot of my hair was sticking straight up with so many fly sways and she didn't even ask me if I liked it I was kind of horrified. I had to take the hair spray and styling gel and fix it myself. The girl that did my hair was very nice but I didn't like my hair. The lady who left before me had shorter than shoulder length hair and her hair looked amazing. My assumption is they deal with older ladies with short hair and aren't seasoned on extensions and long thick hair blowouts. So much heat and so much time and I was very sad with the results. And I felt like after 3 rounds of heat on the hair I would have a style that would stay or look good. She didn't ask me if I liked it which I didn't. For 90$ I will go somewhere else next time. I was so excited to come here and get my makeup and hair done but it wasn't what I expected. We walked in and nobody greeted us which was disappointing. My hair looked good and I don't have any complaints about my hair. My makeup was not good. I asked for a natural look and I walked out looking like a clown. I have never ever felt that many layers of makeup on my face. The makeup didn't even match my skin tone. I got home and took it all off. Maybe I didn't explain natural well enough. I had the BEST experience I've ever had at any Blo bar here!! My stylist Sydney spent time asking questions about my hair state, my hair goals for the future, and my desires for my style that day as well as giving her own recommendation. I have very thick curly hair and have not had much success at other salons like I did at this Blo Bar. My blow out was voluminous and soft my curls were beautifully done. My natural hair was done with so much care being sure to not tug or use heat without proper protection. I walked out feeling amazing!
