You have to book an advance because you won't get an appointment as she is so busy. If you go on Facebook, and you're looking for a child's cut, the whole comment section mentions little Royals. She is little kid hair cutting royalty. She can do any style that your son or you as the mother requests. She has games in her salon for the kids to play as they are getting their haircut. I have even moved out the area and I still find my way on half days or days off to get my son's haircut here. So if you need a haircut, look no further than the absolute best in the area! I mean I went to go sell something I had on Facebook marketplace and met someone in Southlake and they asked had I gone to go see Tumeaka. Lily was the first stylist I came to after 10 years where I walked out extremely happy with my hair cut. With COVID, she is NOT accepting walk-ins so make sure to call ahead. I called and left a VM, and within a couple of hours she responded and was able to squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon. She does get pretty busy near the weekends though, so don't wait last minute like I did! The suite is located within the Delaney Salon, so when you enter, take a right and she's easy to find. I brought a picture of the long bob style I wanted and she was able to follow exactly what I wanted, even providing suggestions for my specific hair type. I know she was meticulous, taking approx an hour to make sure everything looked perfect. I was even impressed with the blowout at the end, I never felt the heat of the blow dryer against my scalp. I thought it would be necessary to explain what she was unhappy about - First, the breakdown of charges. $338 total: $255 service $45 toner $38 (10%tip and tax) Second, due to a crazy storm in DFW, my third appointment there was cancelled. (Absolutely understandable! We can't control the weather... however, Erika knew my timeline that I was moving to Illinois May 30th - this was 9 days after my original appt on the 21st. She was unable to accommodate me, so naturally, I asked for a refund to use that money towards my new appointment elsewhere. I did not get a penny back.) Based on today, Erika did not want to give me back any of the money because I publicized my honest review. I hope this helps reflect the level of management's feistiness and lack of professionalism at this salon. On the bright side... I 10/10 recommend PureSana salon in Southlake! I did not realize what a treasure I had until I had to go to another shop. In January, one of my daughters was getting married and I headed to Hair Focus a day before the wedding. On the door, a sign said "on vacation". Darn. So, needing the hair cut, I went down the street to Floyds barber shop. Do NOT go there! She diligently preformed a hair strand test to make sure my very dark hair would not react weird to the treatment. She then recommended I wait a few weeks and moisturize my hair in the mean time. She could have easily done the treatment and collected the extra money but she values her clients and her reputation. She know's all kinds of hair, especially mixed and ethnic hair. In retrospect, I should have bailed before even arriving, and definitely before allowing her scissors near me. That's what I get for ignoring red flags. My appt was at 5p. I got a text at 4:45 asking if I could come at 5:15. Before I even had a chance to reply, I got a notification saying my appt had been moved. I should have canceled at that point. I wasn't served until 5:30. No apology for the extended wait. Again, I never should have taken a seat. If you try this place, bring a tape measure and toss your watch.
