Be careful when buying fruit from this establishment. My wife and I have gone to this business many times over the years and haven't really had an issue until yesterday. My wife bought a Fruit called Durian, which in the U.S. is very expensive, she paid $55. This stuff is sold at this store for $12.99 a pound. When my wife asked about the fruit they immediately told her that you can't open it and if it's bad we do not give refunds and you can't bring it back. Basically they knew the fruit was probably bad and they do not guarantee the food they sell. When she was finally able to open the fruit after she bought it, she saw that the fruit was spoiled and could not be eaten, when she called to ask if she could replace it or get a refund they said NO, we do not guarantee the food they sell... they do not care if you complain and are running a shady business. BE AWARE OF BUYING FOOD AT THIS SUPER MARKET

Great market for Asian produce. But the only reason I come is for the fresh Tofu Pudding dessert and the Vietnamese Egg Rolls. My love of Tofu Pudding at 4/$5 and Vietnamese Egg Rolls at 2/$1 here leaves me so so happy.

Just visiting Denver, great selection! Nice employees, it's great supporting a local family!

There's not a ton of Asian markets in Denver so this one will have to take the cake for my go to Asian grocery needs. They sell che and prepared foods as well as meat and fruits like jackfruit, mango, rambutan, longan, and lychee. They sold a big bag of cherries for under $2 and 2 boxes of strawberries for $1.60. That's cheaper than in California even though the strawberries came directly from California. This market is multi leveled and is pretty small compared to the Asian markets that I am used to in San Jose. Despite this, they offer most of what I need. I saw a wide selection of frozen shrimp and colorful sticky rice that may at first appear to be tacos. Today was the first time I had ever seen neon pink sticky rice. I'm just happy to have found a Vietnamese market at all.

Absolutely the bestest Asian market ever! I find myself here every week. A "quick" trip to Little Saigon usually takes an hour or more. I can only really repeat what others have said - it's a little cramped, not terribly well-organized, not terribly clean, some of the staff are downright rude, but it has pretty much everything you could ever possibly want for Asian cooking, all under one roof. I'm no expert on stores like this, but what sets it apart from anything I've seen before is the fresh produce section - it is absolutely fantastic, carrying your everyday kitchen staples like carrots, cabbage, spuds etc to all kinds of exotic fruits and veggies, all at crazy low prices. The fresh meat and fish section is also amazing. I'm not even going to bother looking for someplace else to get my Asian market fix - this place has it all! PS I'm not sure it's entirely Wheelchair Accessible - the aisles are pretty narrow, and would be tricky to navigate when it's super busy.

There were a lot of people in line when the cashier stopped helping her customer and stood screaming at everyone that the line starts here and made everyone move over closer to her. As she was screaming people laughed at her several people left. about 3 people ahead of me a women put her 2 item on the counter and the cashier again screamed at her that she couldn't reach them. The customer moved her items closer she screamed at again that she couldn't reach them. Again she moved her water and cheese stick closer to her again, literally with 6-8 inches away from the cashier and handed her money. The cashier tossed her money back at her and said "I have a bad back, I work 8 hours a day I don't have to put up with your shit" This is where the rest of the people that were in line walked out. I am still laughing at the cashier.

Since I wasn't in a hurry, I made a quick turn to a side street to park my car and went to investigate. And I LOVED it. This store is in operation since 1984. People who live in this neighborhood must love it; lucky them! I have to admit though; certain things are bit pricey but what's great about this place is the fact that they do generous sales on items throughout the store. For instance, a jar of Dalmatia Quince Spread (pear flavor) was originally $6 with some change but it was on sale at the price of $3.99! I had recently run out of a fig spread so I immediately grabbed this one. There is a cafe where they can make craft coffee beverages. Not only that, there is a pizzeria, sushi section, soap/beauty section, vitamins, alcohol section etc. Although the store is not massive, it's a good size where they pretty much carry most of the daily needs (although I'm not sure about toilet paper/paper towels and stuff like that; I didn't need any of those so I simply didn't look for it.) I saw some people sitting in the cafe studying with their books and computers. There were also families with small children eating their late morning meals. It's simply a great place for any occasion was the observation I gathered. My cashier (Sean) was very pleasant to me. I forgot to bring my reusable grocery bag so he asked me if I needed a bag to which I said yes. He didn't charge me for the bag when I looked around the receipt. Thank you! I hope I'll have reasons or business up in the neighborhood soon so I can make a stop again.

I always find this location of NG clean. The employees are courteous and friendly. The parking has never been an issue as the lot has ample room for cars. With that said, it's a bit surprising to see the 3.5 star rating as of mid August of 2024. Today I found a delicious and delightful sparkling water. Zero calories, no added sugar but is so refreshing and flavorful. The 12oz cans were $1.98 (each). Not bad. I mostly get produce when I go to NG just like any other day, They always have the freshest veggies and fruits. The quality is something I can always count on. I also get water (refill.) I had sworn off going to the store…read moreearlier this summer when for the second time in a row, I was in a line about 25 people deep at 6pm on a weekday, and only one cash register was open. (One day I waited for over 40 minutes just to check out.) Admittedly, most of my friends already made it clear I was crazy for continuing to frequent this store, but I feel pretty damn strongly about supporting the only grocery store in this neighborhood, so I persisted. Nevertheless, it became clear that the Safeway corporation was not respecting these employees by appropriately staffing the store, and I decided I would stop going entirely. Fast forward a few months, and the Safeway employees went on strike. I was pretty encouraged, supported the effort, and hoped for the best. After things were resolved, I decided to give the store a shot again, and pretty quickly it became clear that staffing the registers was still not a priority. Admittedly, I really don't understand how Safeway thinks this is a profitable maneuver--in order to spend money, consumers need to be able to check out. And guess what, if you're buying more than a few items, a self-checkout is not workable. But apparently this is the corporate game. I do want to give a shoutout to the stalwart employees who have persisted despite these tribulations. I'm always happy when I see Terri at the register or Bryan at the meat counter. Employees like them make all the difference here. I just wish they had better support.

Some of the employees can be a little rough around the edges I guess, but they're always really nice to me and I see them putting up with it with a lot of BS from some pretty obnoxious customers. And I know they're putting up with a lot from Safeway corporate management as well, so in light of all that I think that the people here are great. the reason I keep coming here because it's a Safeway and they got stuff you can't get at a lot of other grocery stores. The reason a lot of people are skeptical about this store is because there are sometimes some shady characters in the parking lot. That tends to feed speculation, I have witnessed some minor and petty crimes and if that's something that's absolutely intolerable for you I guess my thinking is a man you're in the city. I have one complaint about this store, and it's probably not what you're gonna see in most of the reviews. Because of the high rate of theft they've got like a sub store inside the store. If you wanna buy any cosmetics OTC medication's anything like that you have to use this stupid sub store. There will only be one checker. There will always be somebody in line in front of you who is taking 20 minutes to check out. I have considered on more than one occasion just walking out with my groceries and going to check out at the regular check stand. Like seriously what are you gonna do? I'm not stealing, I'm still gonna pay for it. that's pretty much the only unacceptable customer service I get at this store.
