Is not a popular tourist town with lots of sites and things, or even hotels to draw anyone. This hotel had mostly out of town contractors and construction workers, and weary travelers that pulled off the highway to stay somewhere. It has a Walmart right next to it, and an old broken down long since closed car wash on the other side of it. It's on the outskirts from downtown Ashland, right off I-64. I have stayed at some very nice Hampton Inns over the years, and I will still consider them in the future, but this is an old one that is in need of a complete renovation, but based on where it is, it probably would not be beneficial to spend the money doing it.

My husband stayed home to take care of new puppy. Breakfast in the morning was great. Eggs, sausage, pancakes from a pancake machine, gravy biscuits and bacon. Lots of drink choices. Place goes by name of The inn at Grayson…read more Beds ok. Breakfast was Sausage (tasted old), hash browns, which were heavily salted and peppered, biscuits and Sausage gravy, all Luke warm. Cold cereal, waffle machine (mix was too watery causing waffle to not cook through), and nearly frozen hard boiled eggs. Pastries looked old, bagels were good, and coffee that was just warm. No fruit of any kind. Coffee is poured into cold pump serving containers that cause it to be only warm even if you get it as soon as it comes out. Hot water should be used to heat the dispenser before coffee is added. Pool is down, will be until June, but it is still advertised as having an indoor pool. What is the point if it is going to be closed for months? Breakfast not served until 6, not one minute earlier. Forget it if you like to get an early start. Cannot even get a bowl of cereal or slice of bread/pastries. In fact the door is locked so cannot even sit at a table to play a game or have a cup of barely warm coffee. My wife and I used to love this place. We won't be back.
