The lady is a scam artist and just a nasty person. The rooms were disgusting. We tried checking out early because the rooms were unlivable, saw her on the porch, by the time we were parked and over to the counter she was gone and would not come back out. Told Travelocity it didn't matter what anyone said she would not be back until a specific time AFTER checkout. Went back later, she still was not back and then fought with us over that she wasn't refunding us because we didn't check out on time. Which was completely HER fault! Everything is recorded through Travelocity. Do not stay here. This place needs shut down. It was so bad I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau. read more

First of all don't expect this to be a Holiday Inn. After a disaster with another area hotel we chose here. It's not new but it is clean. Bathrooms are huge, too! Owners are friendly and helpful. The indoor heated pool with the slides is amazing for kids. Nice place, close to food, 2.5 miles from the crater. Don't expect a fancy hotel but it is clean and comfortable. .Where to begin the beds have Springs coming up out of them which makes everybody's backs hurt in the morning. The remote control for the TV does not work. When we checked in the lady at the front desk gave us a key to a room that was already occupied so when I opened the door there was people already in the bed who are not happy to see somebody walk in. I walked back to the front desk and her reply was oops. The doors do not have a second lock on them so if someone gets the wrong key they can just walk into your room there is only a bedspread and a top sheet on the bed and in the fitted sheet the bed spreads both had hair on the underside of them so they both went on the floor. The mattress covers are both extremely stained the box springs are filthy and disgusting. Carpets of two-toned not supposed to be though. The TV did not work when we checked in call the front desk the lady came down and said what we check everything the additional Exhilarate plugs on the TV are filled in with spray foam so that no one can add a DVD player to watch a movie when you request to order a movie like she said you could she doesn't know how to do it. There was a bug in the refrigerator when I asked her about it she said it probably got in there after they cleaned the room because after all Arkansas is the bug state. Apparently they have the smartest bugs in the world because I've never known a bug to open a frigerator close it behind them. There is no head on the shower. Kids running around upstairs sounded like they were going to fall to our ceiling. I would have called the front desk but oops there's no phones in the room. The room itself was filthy. The floors water stained. Very little light, a tube tv w/fuzzy cable. Our wifi didn't work inside the room. No, just NO! PLEASE for the love of Pete DON'T GO! In my life I have never been to a place so skeevy. We obviously chose it based on the water slide for our girls but it wasn't a good choice. The clean nice exterior is deceiving. I was a little surprised that the older front office lady met me in her bikini with a see through cover as first impression. The place was a cluster of weird decorations but to each their own. We went onto our room. Upon first impression it was huge with 3 beds which for 6 people was great. It smelled like a weird cleaning solution but not a clean smell necessarily. The bathroom reeked of mold and the wooden towel bars were black with mold as we're the floor grout, the tub tops, and ceiling cracks. We shrugged it off and went to dinner. Upon returning we'd promised the girls they could swim. The pool room reeked of chlorine and mold and wasn't ventilated very well. A 1/3 of the building had soggy carpet in it that just yelled foot fungus. The pool itself was ok as was the slide but the safety of the soggy plywood platform freaked out this lifeguard Mama. Also the fact that it dumped them into the 3ft end vs the 5ft was so dangerous. When we got back to our room I pulled back the comforter so the girls would sit on the 'clean' (said loosely) sheets. What I found were blood stained (hope it was stained and washed but honestly doubt that) and crumb filled sheets on all 3 of the beds (seriously, blood stains on 3 different sets of sheets?!). I have NEVER been so nauseated by a place. Even my hubby was grossed out and he can fare anything. We powered through the night only because it was late and we didn't want to hassle with finding somewhere to accomodate our large family. The maid tip envelope is a joke. Blood on inside of comforter that touches the pillow when pulled up. Carpet was dirty upon arrival. I came with my son for a vacation. He had brought a lego toy and dropped a piece that I helped him look for. Discovered more filth on floor under the bed looking for his lego. There was a tauperwear container bottom with something nasty in it under the bed. Plus dead bugs all around the carpet. The bathrooms had hair on the sink and in the shower. Tried to take a shower and it was ice cold the entire time. The tub didn't drain while in shower either. Shampoo and conditioner was about double the size of a what looks like a ketchup packet. Also, very difficult to tear open, especially while in the shower. The AC turned on made the tops of the beds feel moist. The fridge was dirty. There were no outlets in the bathroom to plug up hair dryer (as they do not offer one). Coffee pot was dirty upon arrival. Left to take my son out for the day and came back with what looked like no maid service. I didn't leave the room messy and only pulled the comforter and sheets straight up and not made up as the beds were when I got there. The beds were untouched. Carpet still not vacuumed. Bathroom tub and sink still not clean. But they did refill the hand towel I placed down on the sink and took the pool towels we were given and not replacing them. By he way, the pool does NOT feel heated. Ice cold. The slides looked cool online in the photo, but they only had one open out of the three I saw. They closed the larger two and I noticed there was rusted metal on the stairs up to all the slides. The closed ones, however had the sharp metal steps broken off from the rest of the staircase. The pool house does have an indoor bathroom...but after seeing our room we stayed in- I wouldn't use it. The "indoor water play area" looked cool at first.....but then again it was so hard to see as it was dark and there were barely any glowing lights or anything to where kids could see. Random water stream across concrete in the dark....hmmm...sounds awfully dangerous. I walked through and it was very slippery, so imagine the danger for a carefree child to walk or run through the area! Free breakfast was a joke! They had bread and cakes and not enough to offer either for everyone there. Juice ran out 15 min after breakfast started. Also they only had a full jug of skim milk. There were no napkins....not worth going unless you are absolutely starving and cutting corners on cost. The only other thing I can think to add about safety would be the doors. They didn't lock well and had a large gap in door itself. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I stayed here for 2 days while visiting the Crater of Diamonds State Park. My room was right on the street and I thought noise would be a problem, but street/traffic noise was never a problem. I found my room comfortable and clean (non-smoking) with a nice working refrigerator and microwave. The shower was spacious and bed comfortable. The lady that checked in me into the motel was friendly. I didn't visit the pool or the breakfast, so I can't say anything about those things. I would stay here again. The only thing I didn't much care for was the automatic fragrance sprayer in the room, but it wasn't obnoxious enough for me to not come back. This motel is close to the Crater of Diamonds State Park, there's some restaurants nearby, a gas station, ATM, and a couple of nice hiking trails within 15 miles or so. read more

When I told the owner about the dirty underwear left, she came to the room and picked them up with her hand, and held them up and said oh look they left you a little trash. We stayed hear during our vacation to search for diamonds and gemstones at the nearby state park. We went during slow season, and the owners owned up the water slide/pool area for us, that was nice. Laundry was only 2 dollars, cheap compared to normal laundry facility price. No breakfast due to covid 19, but that is no big deal to us. Other than no breakfast, all other amenities provided. Let me start by saying, if there was a negative star rating, this place would rate in that category! We arrived around 5 PM. There are multiple signs on the door, 1 saying to call a number. So we called. The man was short, but that's fine. Basically was told to go in and check in. The lady at the desk was not very friendly, but not completely rude either. Just standoffish. She hands me the keys, says 1 is for the room, the other for the water slide. (Which is 1 reason why we stayed here) She gives some strange directions about the 2 story building, which there is 2. Then tells us the Wi-Fi password is wrote on a bill board next to a coke machine. We walk around the 1st building and our room isn't there so we drive over to the other 2 story building,find out room and park. We are basically park next to a scrap or junk pile, another storage room with old relic car and tractor?? And a conversion van that idk what that deal is. We start unloading our luggage, my nephew (9 y/o) is the 1st through the door. The room REAKS of some chemical! I don't know if it's a cleaning solution or the huge air freshener attached to the wall. But it is disgusting! The floors have not been cleaned in who knows how long! We figure for 1 night, we can do it.. right?? We decided to go eat, so took my nephew to see the water room. (IF I COULD INSERT THE LANGUAGE GOING THROUGH MY HEAD,I WOULD BE IN TROUBLE!) They room is like a giant warehouse when u walk in. The odor was like chlorine and mold. They have duck tape at the bottom of 1 slide to keep kids out of it. They have large bolts also sticking out of the sides holding it together. There is a huge metal steps leading up to another section of slides. There are 2 that start inside and curve around to the outside of the building and come back in to the 3 FOOT section! Seriously! The 3ft section! I decide I am going to step into the pool, just on the step so I can see if it's going to be to cold for my nephew. I stood there maybe 2 min on that step when my mom asks if it's warm. I said yeah, stepped back out and realize my feet are on fire! Look closer at the pool and they had chemicals in it floating on the top where the jets are! (Im guessing shock treatment or chlorine??) I look towards the end of the pool and realize it is looking grayish.. We tell my nephew he won't be going in that thing. When we come out, I notice the kids "park" is next to the pet area. Ok. The park is a cluster of homemade steel toys. Not very safe! Then making the relief area for the pets next to it?! Ok.. so NOT EVEN THE "BEST" PART OF THIS STAY!! We go eat, gone maybe 45 min, come back and my legs are still on fire! I go to take a shower.. just... HELP ME HERE! The shower head is like 1 of those energy saver kind. Kool. I like the idea of saving water. I get my wash cloth, put soap on it, get it right to my face and realize that there is a PUBIC HAIR ON MY WASHCLOTH! WTF?! Ok. Ok.. in trying to keep my composure. I yell for my mom, she comes and I tell her and show her. She give s me 2 more wash clothes. You would think the chances of the next one having pubic hair would be next to zero..right?? FLIPPING WRONG!!! I throw it out if the shower, take the 3rd one and again! FLIPPING PUBIC HAIR! 3 for 3!( And I got pics as well as a Facebook live video!) So I pass the whole use a wash cloth thing..look up as I am rinsing my hair, and there is a "patch" in the ceiling that has mold in it! At this point, I would choose sleeping in the car if it was just me, but I have my mom and 9 y/o nephew, and no recourse for getting money back to find another Hotel! I was reluctant to stay here based on the reviews and responses by the owners to the reviews, but it was near the diamond mine and the pool looked like a winner for the kids. First of all when we got there at about 3pm or so the office was locked up and nobody to be found. I finally called the number on the door and eventually they came to check us in. When we got in the room it smelled like the sewer had backed up in the room. There was an old rusty, dirty (fan blades coated with dirt) box fan blowing across the carpet. There were bugs everywhere...especially flies. No fly swatter. My four children were horrified with the smell, uncleanliness and bugs. They begged to leave within seconds of entering the room. However, based on the owners response to reviews, I decided to tough it out as I was afraid they would kick us out and we would have no place to go. I should have heeded the warnings in the reviews. The bedding had a sheets and a bedspread. No blanket that was washed in between guests. The bathroom was very dirty and some of the clean towels had been tossed in the sink. The shower curtain and rod fell three times during our one night stay. The furniture was absolutely disgusting. I did not allow our children to sit on it. The 50" tv was 19" to 20" at best. It had cable....indeed it did. The cable ran across the top of the ceiling to the tv where there was a scary, old looking electrical outlet. Wifi? We were never able to connect unless we went out of our room and all the way down to a picnic table behind a building in the dark. There was zero connection in the room. I saw others walking around outside with laptops trying to find a connection. The pool was clean, but there was standing water all through the room on the area away from the pool and rust all over the carpeting from the tables. It was so hot in there that if you wore glasses....you had to remove them in the pool house because they fogged up so much. I honestly could not let our kids swim more than about 15-20 minutes a time because it was so unbearable in there unless you were in the pool. The kids did love the slide though. The air conditioning worked very well and the laundry facilities were clean and worked very well. I was able to dry two loads on the dollar it costs for one load. This was amazing for a hotel dryer. After checking out and driving for about 15 minutes we realized the kids left their swimsuits there. We did not return to get them. Oh and when we checked out, there was nobody to be found. Door was open, we went into the office and rang bell over and over. Finally, we just left the key in the key drop. Continental breakfast was good. My overall opinion would be to just give your $102.00 to a stranger. They will be happy and you will be happier. read more

I would give this place a zero if available. The room was dirty, carpet stained with water marks, restroom needed baseboards cleaned and doors were not easily secured, no deadlocks or bolts and the door knobs were very loose. The continental breakfast had packages of donuts and rolls which had been frozen and were still cold, and several had out of date times on the packages. It met the bare definition of Continental Breakfast. Our granddaughter wouldn't eat due to the expiration dates on the packages. Swimming area dangerous, granddaughter fell and scraped her leg on the section with streamers hanging down and fountains coming on and off. We only stayed in there for less than 10 minutes it was so bad. We checked in late afternoon, took luggage in and left to eat and explore the area. By the time we returned and tried the pool area our granddaughter was exhausted and we started getting ready for bed. At that time, we realized that there were no phone lines in the room. My husband has a pacemaker that is to be monitored every night and operates with a phone line. At that point, it was too late to try and find another place to stay. We had planned on staying for two nights, however, due to lack of phone lines we decided we needed t leave this motel. The owners refused to refund us our money for the second night and have charged our credit card for two nights. There response was we didn't give 24 hours notice, which we couldn't have done as we didn't check in until late in the afternoon the day before. They were rude and said we should have checked out immediately upon finding no phone. Obviously they don't have elderly folks like us with an exhausted grandchild and don't understand that there was no way to have given 24 hours notice. We knew the motel was older, but didn't expect he total lack of normal amenities such as a phone line. We had so looked forward to this trip and can truthfully say our motel experience certainly put a big damper on the experience. read more

Horrible experience I paid 140.00 dollars for 3 beds. The room was dirty, blood on a pillow, mold in the shower which they painted over, I took pictures. They do have a cool pool area, if there weren't paint chips floating in it and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The slides were jagged at the top, where you get in the slide. We go to eat breakfast and they have just mini walmart donuts. As we were getting my child donuts, I said this has been the worst experience and the owner cussed me out. Told me if "you can find a 60,000 dollar f***ing water park anywhere else, go f***ing find it." Right in front of my children. I told him " I don't appreciate you cussing in front of my children and he said "oh please, your kids cuss every minute of the day." He doesn't know us and we only stayed 1 night. My children don't cuss. I then said " I should get some of my money back" He said "I'm gonna give you something alright" So I go to the front desk, to complain and as soon as I go in there the lady starts on me, (they live in the office part) the husband made it in there before me, (no telling what he told her) and the wife called me a cow. I cussed them out after that. This really has been the worst experience I've ever had. My wife and kids got ate up by something all night long. I honestly think they have bed bugs but we couldn't do anything about it bc you only have 20 minutes to get your money back. It's minimal service but the staff seem to want to make sure you're content. It's a nice motel in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. You don't get a lot of options in a small town like this. No, there isn't a closet or a couch or anything you'd expect in a hotel. If your used to big city hotels don't travel to small-SMALL towns. read more

When we got into our room...the first thing we noticed was the fridge had leaked on the counter it was on, a huge puddle of water we had to clean up before placing our bags and things on the table. Still this was not the worst part of our experience. There was a HUGE Cockroach that was crawling on the wall by the Tv (which is not the 50 inches as advertised btw-more like a 19 inch). The cockroach looked like the big ones that could fly, we had to kill it with a shoe ourselves. EW EW EW. Disgusting and terrifying for someone looking for a good nights sleep and a decent place to stay. We paid for two nights, but left after the first day. Yes I lost the money but I'd rather waste the 69$ for that second day versus sleep there another night. We did state this to the owner/manager lady in the office, she did not refund us the money we had already paid for that second day, but she did give us a 1/2 day off coupon for our next stay- which really is worthless since we will most definitely NOT be going back to this terrible motel. Also, 69$ is pretty pricey for this dump, we drove a bit further about 45 minutes and got a MUCH nicer hotel for 74$ for the last night we were in town. read more

We had planned a family trip 6/25-26. My husband checked in on the 25th while the rest of the family (5 kids and 3 more adults) made their way down the evening of the 25th. On the way, one of the other vehicles was in an accident totaling the car. No one else made it to the property. The hotel would not give us a refund for the second night that was not used. I understand they have a cancellation policy in effect (as a small business person I also have one) but I know that allowances can be made when things come up. My husband checked out on the morning of the 26th with no refund. I called later to request again and to explain the circumstances. The man I spoke to was very rude. The fact that we could not get a refund stung, but I understood it. What I don't understand is why this man had to be so rude about handling the matter, I was not obnoxious or raising my voice in any way but he still felt the need to be ultra curt in this transaction. Even though I didn't make it to the property personally I can honestly say they will never see my business again just based on their phone skills. I was sort of excited to try out this motel, but ended up being highly disappointed. The slides were alright, didn't get any better when I went down a slide, cut my back up and drew blood. I would like to say that was that was the most disappointing part, UNTIL we found POOP in our hotel room. We went and got the "night manager" expecting him to move us to a different room, and at least some kind of a discount. He came in the room, picked the poop up with a napkin, and didnt spray ANY cleaning supplies to desanitize the carpet. I will start by saying my kids loved it. It is outdated but you can see they are trying to upgrade. Then room was clean. We had both 15 and 16. Room 16 had a smell not sure where it was coming from. The king bed sunk down in the middle. Room 15 looked better and no smell. The queen bed sunk at the foot of the bed. So we had the kids sleep there. The pool was cold to me but I am more of a hot tub person but that was out of order. The kids loved the slide. The pool is open noon to 10pm but the slide doesn't open until 6pm. The breakfast is 8am-10am. It was mini muffins, mini donuts, coffee cake. cereal, bagels and frozen waffles. The toaster didn't actually toast anything it just warmed it. Then cream cheese tasted like it went bad. They ran out of juice and the coffee was awful. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and left before 8 pm the second night. read more

We enjoyed our short stay. We arrived very late for check in, 4am. There were no issues checking in, the owner was quite friendly considering the hour. You can see that they have put some work into this place. It may be a mom and pop stop but that shouldn't lead you to think it's unkept in any way. I read the review that called the place "musty" our room smelled nice, new even, thinking fresh coat of paint maybe. The room was very clean, the mini fridge and microwave is nice too. There's a small outdoor "chill spot" and I could hear the wind chimes from there in our room. Very cute, well kept stop. If we're ever passing through again I'm sure we will stay here. Btw the bed isn't fancy, my husband loved it. I usually prefer something a bit softer but I was able to sleep well regardless of it being on the firmer side. read more

To begin with, the house keeping lady which was the same lady that checked us inn, was rude to us, sarcastic, and did not smile. The next day when we went up to her she automatically asked us what did we want not smiling. All we were going to ask her was if she had any suggestions on restaurants. Later that day we heard a boy ask the same lady if the pool is open and she yelled hatefully "The pool doesn't open until 1!" The play ground was a joke. It looked thrown together, and the homemade swingset and teeter totter looked dangerous! The teeter totter was attatched to a telephone pole with a phone line hanging pretty low. I would never let my kids play at the Little Shamrock Inns playground! What really upset mr was the shower. The was wad freezing and it only seemed to warm up aftet we let the shower run for 5 minutes. The water pressure was weak also. When we had to flush the toilet it took 2 or 3 times to clear the toilet, how embarrassing! Also on our 2nd day there, the maid only made one of our beds and not the other, probably cause we didn't leave a tip in the envelope for tips. The rooms weren't clean at all. There is no telling the last time my room had been swept or vacuumed. The tub was full of hair and the shower head was one of those cheap water saver ones that barely work. The refrigerator had no rubber seal on it so it was unusable. And this was just our room. Our friends rooms all had issues, too. The slides in the pool were fun, but I do think the metal stairs for them had to be a safety violation! The breakfast was cheap, stale grocery store pastries. We had a total of four rooms and 13 people, and the woman who owns the place actually came around to do a head count of how many children we had, and was very rude about it! They must have a severe issue with people wanting to leave, because posted in the office is a sign saying absolutely no refunds for any reason 20 minutes after check-in! If it hadn't have been after midnight when we arrived and the fact that there was no option for a refund, we absolutely would not have stayed!! And we didn't complain, because it was apparent from the get go the owner would have just been argumentative and rude, and we felt she would have made us leave without a refund. read more

This a great little place. I have stayed there off and on since the 70's, most recently last weekend. It has lots of kitschy charm, wind chimes, plants, and my old friend the purple dragon. Its a mom and pop place, probably built in the 50's, but has nice tv, wifi, and a substantial free continental breakfast. My grandkids love the indoor pool and water slides, and there's a 2 person hot tub in separate a room available by request. Some of the room decor is aging, but everything is clean. The couple that runs the place is friendly and always has helpful info. (last year they pointed us to a nearby dirt-track NASCAR race that was a hoot) If you want the sterile dead feel of a Hyatt or Marriott this is NOT for you. If you want clean friendly comfort in hair-down, eccentric, cozy place this is it. i can't imagine going anywhere else when I hunt for diamonds. read more

Nice little place to stay, rooms are affordable and CLEAN!! The A/C's work like they should which is always a plus. The pool is great for kids and the slide is a feauture the kids loved. Wish breakfast started before 8 though and the "chef" would wear a shirt, other than that we had a blast there! read more

Not bad if you can get past the smell. Roaches in bathroom. Advertised for $49.00 but actually cost about &79. Advertise continental breakfast but it isn't available until 8:00. That is the time that the diamond mine opens. Suspect they start breakfast at 8 knowing people want to get to mine at 8 to avoid the heat and crowds. That way they can advertise breakfast but not actually have many guests eat it. read more
