Had a great experience staying in the jail-themed cabin…read more The whole place is cute, fun, and cool. Not strong vocabulary words, I know, but as looking at any of the buildings made me happy, as doing the activities made me smile, and as others have commented positively on my photos, those are the words I've chosen. The cabins are cool on the inside too. We were tempted to go to Miss Kitty's, but based on the description of that cabin and the fact that we are family, we decided that cabin would be sickening for us. Better for a couple. The jail was cool on the inside. There is a jail area with a door that closes but doesn't latch or lock, so you could pretend to "lock" someone in jail, but there is no risk involved. Seems like a perfect room for kids, though we were grown adults. I could have done with no photos of dead outlaws on the wall. I mean, sure, ones who aren't alive anymore, but there were a couple of photos of men right after they were killed and that was a bit disturbing. I would LOVE to see some female outlaws represented in the room! We broke the law and were forces to be reckoned with too, ya know! There are lots of things to do. A general store has some essentials and candy (but I repeat myself, lol). There's a rope spider web to navigate, a giant trampoline-like thing, pedal cars, a corn pit, a playground, rubber duckie races, and various other activities. Great place to take kids of any age. I'm over 30. Kids can run all over the place after a long car trip and get that energy out. You won't rough it at Diamonds West. Our room had a jacuzzi tub. Happiness. And a good front porch from which you can see what's going on in town and read your book. More happiness. They had bonfires every night when it got dark. Not at teepees as advertised on the website. Maybe the teepees are for a different time of year or maybe they aren't PC these days. Not sure. But no matter. I didn't have any issues with cleanliness as some other reviewers mentioned. Our bedding was fine and we had enough t.p. (no pun intended), towels, etc. Our cabin had a musty smell, but it reminded me of when I used to go to camp, so that isn't out of the ordinary. I'd definitely stay here again.

We happened to book the cabin when it was super cold but did get to participate in some of the activities. The peddle cars were either broken or way too hard to maneuver; the basketball was old and wouldn't bounce. There was only one employee in November and that made it difficult to communicate. The fire in the tepee was wonderful but only lasted a little while. The undertaker cabin was large and had two nice queen beds but was limited on decor.

We loved the quietness of rustic romance and we will be back. They even had a box fan!! can't wait to come in winter with the fire pit & screened in porch bed. we just didn't enjoy it this time due to it being 110 degrees outside. It had everything we needed & we loved it for a long weekend away.

It was out away from civilization far enough away for quiet enjoyment of nature but close enough to several downtown entertainment and dining choices. We stayed in Romantic Creek Cabin and it was super secluded. The bed is ridiculously comfortable and makes you want to never get up. The hot tub was great as was the outdoor shower located next to it. Large screened in porch with full size bed swing it comfortable although being August we didn't use it much because it was a bit humid outside. Check in and check out is super easy. The negatives: little to no cell service. We were able to make and receive cell calls but no reliable data service. Which only mattered because of checking in with our kiddos. Otherwise, unplugging is kind of the point right? One night we decided to stay in and just watch a movie on tv. The tv and sat service/ Blu-ray is great but being that there is only a tv in the living room it was mildly disappointing. The shower in the room has great water pressure. Maybe too great. Ha. The non adjustable shower head type combined with the pressure made for a shower that fired a little too hard for our taste. But the amazing waterfall outdoor shower makes up for that. No wifi That's really the only negatives and they aren't really negatives as much as things you just need to be aware of ahead of time. This place was amazing and we will definitely be back!

The pine cone definitely makes a great romantic getaway as it is just the right size for two. To add to the experience there is an outdoor shower and chiminea on the porch as well. The cabin was a wonderful end to our vacation, next time we will have to stay for longer so we can check out the fishing hole and hiking trails. Gabe and Dawn (owners) are very friendly and were able to accommodate our late arrival. They also offer two large cabins for larger groups.

The interior has a small kitchen with oven and fridge, bed, tiny bathroom, booth, all crammed into a wood and pink lenolium interior. The owners have outfitted it with 1950;s themed movies and cooking tools. My boyfriend who is 6'4'' had some trouble fitting in the bathroom, but besides that we had an amazing stay here and even cooked a full thanksgiving dinner for 2!

We stayed here this past weekend (September 29-October 2, 2023)…read more Wow! What a great place to stay! If you love nature you are gonna love this place! We didn't get to canoe because the Caddo was too low! But we drove to Mt. Ida, did a little exploring then went back to our cabin! The cabin was clean and was just right for 2 people! So peaceful and so close to nature! Can't wait to go back!

They have 4 different themed cabins, 2 for pets and 2 for no pets. They are spaced far enough apart to give you your own room and not be elbow to elbow with your neighbors. There is also a large double-wide trailer that's called THE LODGE for larger groups. It has a large yard and is farther from the other cabins. There's a small creek that runs in front of the cabins. It was bubbling and all and if you come during the cooler months it'd be great to sleep with the windows up to fall asleep to. They come with satellite tv, pots, pans, dishes etc and sheets and towels. Unfortunately because of the covid we had to bring our own sheets & towels but that's no biggy. They also provide limited toiletries (soap, hand soap, dish soap, etc). There's chairs for the porch, a grill and fire ring and a picnic table to use. The cabin was nicely furnished and decorated with the LOVE theme. We had a queen size bed. It was way too hard for me but my wife slept fine. Not sure about anybody else but we had ZERO cell service there. There are also lots of dead zones in that area (at least for our carrier). It was VERY PEACEFUL AND QUIET!!!!!! Nobody running up and down halls or slamming doors off their hinges. We were told their were some atv trails close by but we didn't do that this time. There's many different options fairly close by and I would highly recommend the scenic loop that runs from Mena on into Oklahoma. I think it's about 55 miles long. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to stay I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AT LIVING WATER CABINS!!!!
