Muy importante! :) The past few years I have ventured out to the public social events held by The Language House. It is so nice to meet and mingle with other adult learners. Weekly class is very important and conversing with others is equally important. That's what the social events are all about. I have also made a few close friends in class - we meet regularly for coffee or lunch and practice our español. Muchas gracias to Virginia, all the instructors and The Language House for all that you do for us and the community.

My Spanish skills have become more well versed and I'm able to use what I've learned in class to speak to my wife in Spanish. There are also multiple locations to take class so it's great for anyone who does or doesn't have a busy schedule! There's also a lot of additional resources we receive out of class that are helpful, such as: WhatsApp Spanish group, homework lessons, Quizlet (app) trainings; etc. Thank you so much, Virginia!

Obviously, when you take courses at one of the World's best universities you get a good result and…read morea good learning process, but I couldn't expect that it would be so good... The teachers and the staff are absolutely confident in what they do, because all of them have a big experience and many of them taught English to foreign students, so they know what you need and how to provide it to you. Big variety of levels according to your English, including Academic English Program, which is really helpful and strongly recommended for those who plan to do their Graduate program at a university. They prepare not only for study itself, but also to the daily life in an american university. Social activities and different events, that the teachers organize, make the environment really friendly and happy. The prices are very fair, honestly I think that eventually you get more than the amount you pay. It's a really good place to study English.

I had a phobia that speak English because I had never used English in my life before I came here from South Korea. I only used to speak it at school for tests. This school helps me a lot to get enough self- confidence in English. Even though I am still making on it, I strongly recommend you studying at this school. If you do, you are on right way to get a new language.

I had no idea at the time how challenging and different the process is from other class room activities. I have taught technical classes in networking and video technologies over the past several years and thought that experience would have adequately prepared me for teaching English AFL but discovered the process is completely different. The UT CELTA program provides the tools to teach where a common language is missing. This can be frustrating for both the student and the teacher and having a toolset to bridge the missing and most common form of communication, speech, addresses and prepares the instructor for the specific challenges of teaching a foreign language.

It was absolutely a great chance for me to take CELTA at UT Austin. I enjoyed and learned a lot…read morefrom this course. The tutors were so supportive and helpful and I benefited a lot from their great feedbacks. The best part of CELTA was learning to manage my time more efficiently and making lesson plans in a very organized way. The UT CELTA provided me great job opportunities in Japan where I could apply the strengths and skills I gained in this program.

I attended this school some years ago, and it was, and still is, a joke. Will you get a better…read moreeducation here than in public schools? Maybe in regards to math. But will your child leave here better off and prepared for the life ahead of them? No chance. The school is a sheltered island that practices borderline cult-esque ideals of religion and tries to indoctrinate students with a perspective of 'how the world should be' but completely fails to prepare them for how the world actually is. For all the heavily religious people out there, consider this. Roughly half of the students I know who attended Hyde Park no longer believe in God and directly point to this school as one of the primary reasons. I've never been religious but if I was that would be a horrifying statistic to me. And for those who are not religious, this isn't because the school promotes open minded thinking but rather is so far down the evangelical black hole that it ruins religion for most. Oh and if you actually care about the education aspect (which most parents at this school do not and are primarily focused on religion), check where their graduates go to college. The majority of them go to small, relatively obscure colleges because the school is not focused on education, but primarily religion. Students who attend a private school and pay for an elite education should not be struggling to get into Texas A&M if they're just outside of the automatic admit percentile. Yikes. Glad I graduated from a different school.
